I have gone to Josh for many years and am always satisfied and happy with my cut. Although the salon does mainly womens cut and colors they are all talented mens hairstylists as well. Thank you for creating a different environment than your regular hair salon.

I have been getting my hair cut by Josh for years now, Great shop with a bunch of great guys working in it. Vader the doberman dog is awesome to super friendly. They use high end products and have great rates. I would highly recommend any of the guys for your next haircut !

The stylists at Amplify are gifted and they charge a competitive rate. However their behavior is at times over the top and lacking maturity for a professional environment. This could deter some potential clientele (and some folks find the whole rock star stylist a teeny bit pretentious). There are no magazines in the salon and the combination of blaring music and video games is frenetic and does not promote an atmosphere of relaxation. This salon is not for everyone. I say this in an effort to be constructive as the stylists at Amplify are clearly talented. Many women will be put off by some of the banter. I think if the fellows toned it down a wee bit they'd have more clientele than they know what to do with They do some great haircuts. Some women don't want their experience at a salon to be the equivalent of a junior high locker room. Many women want their stylists to behave like grown ups. I don't suggest a sombre environment but how you communicate is integral to success. Man child behavior is never advisable in the workplace and women who aren't bimbos won't find it in the least appealing.

The people and space are beautiful, relational, loving, caring and make me feel so so so good! I was pleasantly surprised when I went to this salon for the first time. The owner, Josh, was very welcoming and friendly. I am a little older so was a bit nervous about what I was walking into. David F. took my unruly mass of hair and built structure into it. It is the first time a hairdresser ever took the time to ask me what I wanted to achieve and explained how to get there. I love love love this salon and the staff. So if you are on the fence, don't be, do yourself a favour and book an appointment. These guys rock, and cater to all age groups.
