Went in for a full head of foils, toner, cut and style. Daphne was my stylist and she was so great, very meticulous and I left her chair feeling like I just had a $250 service. The instructors seemed incredibly supportive, giving a lot of good feedback and tips. I felt like I learned a lot just listening- lol Do be prepared to be there for a good portion of the day depending on the complexity of your service (approx 6 hours for the above). But honestly, the vibe and energy in there makes it go by faster than expected.

The place is huge and looks good. I went for a haircut and brow wax. I would highly recommend getting brow wax, it was my first ever brow wax and it was done very nicely and I absolutely loved that experience. I wish i could say same about the haircut I got. I asked the person to get layers haircut which I believe they did and to show off the haircut i though i should get my hair styled. to which I asked them to give me soft curls but they did something quite the opposite. there is instructor who is supposed to examine/inspect how everybody is dealing with customer. Either they were shortage of instructors or something . they were busy with other older customer or something .I felt very bad about it . May be the person who did my haircut was not qualified enough. my hair feels burnt due to curling on some sections . usually when haircut is done they try to show how it feels from the back but nothing like that . The 3 stars are only for the brow wax and I would say zero for my haircut.

Me and my husband went for a full spa pedicure. As an esthetician myself I very picky. But Effy and Alannah were amazing. My feet feet feel amazing. Very professional and hygienic. The full staff and educators are right there to make sure they are giving the best service ,but they student estheticians are very personable and professional. School level pricing with salon level experience can't be beat. Reccomend any service they provide .

I am currently attending the cosmetology program at CBBC. After waffling between another very well known school and CBBC I made the decision to trust my gut and enroll. I am SO greatful that I have the opportunity to practice my passion for hair amognst so many amazing teachers and staff and I know I made the right choice. Our teacher Debbie does an amazing job of delivering the hands on and theory portions of the curriculum, she makes learning fun and is deeply invested in all of us. The one on one attention we receive while learning new skills as well as when working with clients is second to none. I have never felt more confident and supported and I know that choosing CBBC was the first step in laying out a very successful career in the hair industry. If you are gthinking of a career in cosmetology/aesthetics this is where you need to start!

I had with my hair cut done by Eva, she was awesome...she exactly cut the way I wanted that too within a limited time duration.. I will definitely recommend this Salon if you are looking for a reasonable price but should agree on their speed level as they are students... Thanks once again EVA ????

Honestly, the manager/boss are very nice. The customer service was very friendly however, I’ve had my nails done many times and after just a few days (no washing dishes or crazy stuff) the nails are falling off. I also asked the student many questions as my nails were getting done such as “did you buff/ rough the surface of my nails”. I’ve had my nails done enough times at several establishments so I know that if the surface of your real nails are not rough enough rather than smooth, the nails will fall off quickly aka in a matter of days. Every question I asked the student out of concern, there was a defensive answer but respectfully I must say. I’m not saying she did try her best she really did so I am grateful. Again, the customer service was great but the gel nails are falling off after less than a week “days”. Thanks for your professional customer service and kindness, best wishes.

I went in today for a treatment and style and left feeling my absolute best. Tra did an amazing job, and offered the best scalp massage while washing ???? he is very professional and personable. Asked repeatedly if I was comfortable and enjoying my services. 10/10 recommend.

Monique did an amazing job with my hair which is very thick and pretty difficult to work with! Got a wash, a clarifying treatment and cut. She was thorough professional and friendly and made a few great recommendations for haircare and products that would work for me. Awesome experience! My hair has never looked and felt healthier.

I always make a point to visit here every time I am in the Halifax area for a pedicure and manicure. The students are very professional with the treatments they perform and the management staff are great! Everyone is always so friendly.

The learning environment is so supportive, and they really do their best to set you up for success. I really struggled with my decisions about which school to choose, but I know that I chose the right one!

I visit this school quite frequently for services. I usually have a colour for root touch up and the occasional highlights. I always have my mani/pedi done with a shellac as well. The students always do a great job and the instructors are always near by and do frequent checks to make sure everything is going well. It is a learning environment so it may take a little longer for a service but it is well worth it for the price you pay. There is free parking in the back so no need to worry about parking downtown. The reception is always friendly and the director of the school is always on hand to also check in to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s a great atmosphere and students and teachers seem to enjoy being there.

Megan Paradis was excellent, my very first time getting my legs waxed. Explained every step she was doing.letting me know that the areas that might be a little more painful the the rest. Very kind and gentle. I will be booking with Megan again. :)
