I used to have long hair before I came to Canada about 5 years ago. After each winter that I spend in Canada, I usually cut ~10-15cm of the damaged hair due to dry cold weather that stays for about 5 months in Toronto. Luckily, this winter was different! I had a Thermo Haircut at the Caprice Hair Studio just before the winter started. Today I came back to Caprice hair studio for my routine haircut after winter ended and I realized that there was no damage to my hair after winter. I cut only a few centimetres of my hair ends. Thanks to the Thermo haircut at the Caprice, I have long beautiful hair again. I definitely recommend this hair studio.

I have coloured my hair here a couple of times (highlights), and never went back. The first time, one of the stylists highlighted it, and it was very expensive, and not even half head; it was literally, just the top section of my head... I came back a second time many years later to get blonde highlights (full head) by the owner. It was one of the worst hair experiences I have ever had. Marina is very pretentious, and many Russian people are used to bad/blunt/rude service, so are okay with it, and those are her customers (she also has favourites). She did not colour me the blonde I wanted, and spent a very very long time highlighting because she kept walking away to talk to other people. When I asked her why she didn't highlight certain sections of my hair like you are supposed to, she said "well then it would take me forever to pick that hair out." Umm, what? That's what you do with highlights... When she was done, it looked like I needed to get my hair done again, because the highlights were so far from the root. She also complained that I had such long roots because I didn't colour my hair in such a long time.

This salon is the best in Toronto, I’m not joking. They have so many services that other salons don’t offer. I got my highlights done today and it turned out even better than I expected! Marina is a very knowledgeable stylist, she made me look like Khaleesi from GoT, LITERALLY. I will only go there from now on and highly recommend it.

She booked me in on the day I called and gave me a beautiful cut and style with a complimentary hair mask. She's so creative and knows what she's doing as well as friendly and helpful. 11/10! Very knowledgeable and tactful stylists. I came in with slightly damaged hair and home color job that started to go dull. Marina took the time to discuss the pictures I brought with me and explained how each style was made up of things that contribute to it like hair texture and styling, not just the cut, and why some cuts work best on only certain types of hair. She then asked me about how much time I usually spend styling my hair, and made suggestions based on my hair condition and my habits. I loved the cut experience and the atmosphere, and my hair looks and feels great a week after the cut, not just the moment I walked out of the salon.

The Google review by Val B. has left me dumbfounded, as Marina is as far from being 'pretentious' ( leave alone "rude") as the Earth is from the sun. I have spent countless hours in Caprice. I have a distaste for pretentious people. That's something I have never observed there. Quite to the opposite, I have always recommended her as the most humble master I have ever known. For someone of her caliber, she is incredibly humble, friendly and approachable. Marina is a true master and a creative artist who listens to your descriptions and transfers these wishes to life. Maybe, the first time her vision can be different from yours, but the second time it should work - that is, if you talk to her and explain how you see your image. I tend to say, "Never cheat on your hairdresser" because once you found one who does her job well, understands you, and makes you look good and feel good - you will likely be disappointed if you go elsewhere, even if it's cheaper or more convenient for you.

They are real experts in hair coloring, I came with yellowish-orange hair after an unsuccessful attempt to become blond-now I look like a natural blond and my hair is so much healthier.They are also one of the rare places in Toronto, who use hot scissors.

I had balayage and a "hot scissor" trim done by Marina. This was my first time at the salon and the results are amazing! The colour looks incredibly natural and dynamic, no chunks or streaks (even when I put my hair up in a ponytail)! The salon is very clean and there is plenty of parking. Marina listened to what I wanted and also made recommendations for my hair type. I am blown away by how good my hair looks and am coming back :)

Great experts that can do really cool stuff with hair, even recreating funky pinterest styles. Their skills don't come cheap but they're definitely worth it. Plus they're the only ones around who can do a hot scissors trim which is a huge help for overly processed long and otherwise split-end suffering hair.
