I have tried many salons and stylists around the lower mainland before finding Chris and have never been so in love with my hair. Chris is perfect at creating the most beautiful blondes and great style. I would recommend making an appointment at Vanilla Loft, the atmosphere in the salon is dreamy and fresh and always a fun place to be. I highly recommend!

I don’t know where to start! I love this salon! It’s peaceful & beautiful. I have never felt so calm while I am getting my hair done. I really like that they have a no kids policy! My artist & friend Chris is a true talent. He specializes in blondes, pastels & lived in colours. It’s the best blonde salon in Vancouver. All the artists are incredible. I also love that there pricing is all gender neutral! The vibe at vanilla loft is very inspiring & warm. The team gets booked up very fast so make sure to book your appointment a few weeks in advance. I love you guys!!! So much!!!

I have been seeing Chris for years now and there is literally no one else I'd trust with my hair! He is beyond talented and is a true artist, but he also puts hair health and communication first to make sure that your hair is in its most healthy, incredible condition and that you can work together to create your dream look. I always feel confident about and love my hair thanks to Chris' amazing work and love love love coming into the gorgeous Vanilla Loft space to visit him! Can not recommend him enough and would highly suggest getting on his booking list or to book in with one of at Vanilla Loft's other incredible stylists - he's one of the most in-demand stylists in Canada for a reason (it's not unusual for someone to fly in specifically to see him from out of town)! Again, can't recommend him and Vanilla Loft enough - the best in the city :)

I got my hair done by Chris when visiting family in Vancouver. I have loved Chris’ work for a long time and was extremely excited, but also slightly intimidated to visit Vanilla Loft because of the amazing reputation it holds. As soon as I arrived any feelings of nervousness vanished. I was treated as though I was a relative or something, I was offered a beverage, changed into a robe, and Chris consulted me about what we would be doing. I didn’t have much of an idea of what I was wanting, and essentially told him he could do as he pleased. His assistant Ana (who is absolutely amazing as well), and Chris took their time and worked on my hair for 4 hours together. The entire time we chatted and joked around as though we were old friends. In the end, the hair I was left with was beyond my imagination and I am obsessed! The experience I received at Vanilla Loft was nothing short of extra ordinary, and I look forward to returning every time I’m back in Vancouver. Came to Chris, and from the second I walked in; I felt at home. The private studio is beautiful and super clean, which has always made me feel safe and comfortable (especially during Covid times). Chris did a big colour correction on my hair, making it turn out beautiful, and although a big investment; there is nowhere else I’d rather go for my hair services! They only use the best of the best of products and the ability to order products online to my doorstep makes keeping your hair keep worthwhile and easy! Very impressed with Vanilla Loft as a whole and Chris Weber. This was my first time seeing him after I had my hair screwed up badly by two different people. Prior to visiting Chris at Vanilla loft I lost 50% of my hair due to bleach and essentially had an orange and white mullet. When I explained what happened Chantal and Chris got me in right away for a consultation and recommended some products for me to use before the actual appointment. Chris got me in a week later for a colour correction and cut (I think he knew how upset I was). I am blown away by the result. He gave me a root shadow and corrected some of the orange/brassy pieces and cut it into a chic bob. He was the only person I would have trusted after two screw ups to correct my hair and he did not disappoint. The salon is also stunning and very clean and professional. Highly recommend!

Getting your hair done at Vanilla Loft is an incredible experience. The salon is gorgeously decorated, very clean, and gives you a wonderful feeling of being extra pampered. I visited them last year when they still had a few other hairstylists working there, and I left with the best haircut I had ever received. I also really enjoy buying hair products from Vanilla Loft online. A beautiful package arrives with a personalized handwritten note, amazing hair products, and some samples. While I am on a waitlist to have my hair done by Chris, I'll definitely continue to use them for all my haircare needs!

Such a gorgeous salon! Chris and Patrick were very sweet and friendly; introduced themselves as soon as I came to the front. They keep a very welcoming atmosphere, and I knew I was in good hands right away, when I saw two girls at the counter who had just had their hair done; I was in awe of how beautiful their hair looked! Kat was super cool and easy to talk to; she did an amazing job; she was very meticulous, and it's exactly what I wanted. I really love that she cut my hair in a way that suits my natural curl, instead of giving me something that I would have to spend a ton of time styling or flat ironing. She also talked to me in depth about how I could go about repairing the damage done to my hair (by another stylist at a different salon). My experience with Chris was very disappointing. After spending close to $1,000 for my 2 services I absolutely dislike the colour Chris did. My dark hair turned orange balayage and its awful. And his attitude towards customers is ever so inflated and condescending. After my first appointment my hair didn’t look any different, very little was done by Chris - maybe 2 foils. And after one wash my color looked even worst - it became reddish brassy with dark roots. A very poorly done balayage. So I emailed and asked for another service to correct that and add more highlights while fully understanding that I would have to pay which I did, they gave a 25% discount and I still paid $300 plus 20% tip for a few more streaks along the crown and toner. I definitely felt tension the whole time and at one point Chris said he can’t talk to me as he has to focus on hurrying through my service. As if Chris was volunteering his time to do my hair. He didn’t even want to put an effort in completely drying my hair so I walked out like I was a low level citizen while paying the high price. No service should make you feel shamed for asking for what you want. I have not heard anything from them to follow up and rectify this in any way.

Super cute space very talented artist. Brittany Ostash has been cutting my hair for years, literally the only person who can ever do it so that I never have to. I have thin wavy hair, and she cuts it so that I can live my life without having to fuss over my hair (all I do is shower and air dry it.. and now she makes me put oil in it. DONE!) Total sweetheart and also does amazing color work. She has good vision and if you are unsure what you want she'll air on the side of caution so you don't end up crying in your room (we've all been there) Seriously 110% recommended.

He meets with you to understand your hair goals and really invests the time to make sure that you understand what it takes to care for your blond and makes sure that it is something that you can really support, maintain and he shares that you have to support caring for your hair as well between appointments and that includes investing in good product to make sure your color doesn't turn brassy and yellow and that your hair doesn't dry out. Every blond should know how important it is to invest in great a blue shampoo, like an Oribe or Kevin Murphy as well as treatments if you blow dry and curl your hair. I have actually spent less money on shampoo and conditioner by making a one time investment in this great product. I TELL EVERYONE INVEST IN GOOD PRODUCT!!! He is the best and most talented and it is always an honor and a privelege for him to work on my hair. He creates an environment for his associates and team to learn, educating his associates to make sure he is caring for his team. I have never encountered this before. I lived in NY for 15 years before coming to Vancouver, this does not happen! Depending on your goals, Chris will be clear on whether it is him who can support or someone else in the salon. I would have my highlights done every 5 - 6 weeks to maintain what I wanted to achieve, everyone is different, however you need to be clear and transparent about what you can do to support your blond goals too. He is honest, generous and really cares about you. If you have an opportunity to see Chris he will treat and care for you. If you can not see Chris know that his team is so well educated as well.

I have been going to Vanilla Loft since it opened and I will not go anywhere else! All of the artists are so talented and the space is so welcoming - everybody is friendly and genuine. I used to put my hair in a ponytail all the time because I hated how brassy and frizzy it was but since I've been seeing Chris I am OBSESSED with my hair and really flaunt it around. He gives me a gorgeous bright blonde that looks natural and feels surprisingly healthy and a cut that I don't have to heat style, it just falls around my face. LOVE my hair and LOVE the Loft.

I love getting my hair done here! I get my hair done by the owner Chris who is next level amazing! He may actually be a wizard! I came to him in desperate need of a colour correction a couple years ago and he not only fixed what a stylist at another salon did but gave me my best dye job and hair cut ever which is super hard to do when you start in a very tricky place! I was hooked after that. He keeps my hair healthy and trendy (we usually do beach blonde balayage but have toned it pastel purple and done some pink before which are also his specialties). He’s easy to talk to and I always trust that even if I am not explaining myself well he knows how to do balayage better than anyone so he will make it great. He spends so much time making everything right but is also somehow very fast. The salon itself is super cute and styled wonderfully and is in a great location for grabbing a snack or smoothie/juice on your way in or out with all of the cafes and restaurants nearby. I live across the bridge and have never had an issue getting there. Cannot say a bad thing about the place! Super happy customer!

I'm so happy with my hair! My stylist Kat was so personable and amazing at what she does. Her perfecetionisim is outstanding and I am so happy I decided to book an appointment with her. I was at the salon for almost half a day and they made me feel welcomed unlike at some other Highend Salons in Vancouver, the entire team was so sweet and friendly while also being professional. I don't even know where to begin - but WOW! Got some highlights and face-framing done by Ana and I was stunned by the result. My hair definitely looked different, but it still looked like it had a natural "sun-kissed" vibe and it was still HEALTHY! The entire space is absolutely gorgeous (and super clean and sparkly) which was very inviting and comfortable to be in. The entire team were so genuine and nice as well!
