I go to see Paris for eyebrow threading and she is absolutely the best aesthetician I've seen for eyebrows. I used to go to some of the swanky places in Vancouver but she does a WAY better job. I love coming here and if you need your eyebrows done, I highly recommend Paris.

I came in looking for a reasonably priced trim (just to cut off my split ends). When I showed up to the salon, the work area was not very clean (covered in hair) and when my hair was being washed, I didn't have a cape or a towel so water ran down my neck and into the back of my clothes. The stylist spent less than 15 minutes cutting my hair, half of which was spent talking and showing me her own hair. Afterwards, I had to go back home to wash my hair a second time to get rid of all of the loose pieces of hair. In the end, I suppose I did achieve the intended result (healthier hair) but it still cost me $55 - and that's with the first timer discount! I think I would prefer to spend the extra $15 at a pricier salon where the stylists will spend a bit more time and effort on their customers.

Gave the barber a picture of a haircut I wanted...ended up with a completely different haircut and was told “this hair cut is better and your freaking out over nothing”. He then preceded to get angry and accuse me of not wanting to pay...I anrgly said this was not the case and that I was displeased with the style he gave me. He did not take the time to take into consideration what I wanted and went on auto pilot and pumped out a generic haircut he’s done many times with what seemed like not much effort or attention to detail and hastily finished my hair cut in 10 minutes.The stylist did not charge me but I am still extremely upset with my experience at kings hair and wouldn’t recommend a visit.

Best hair salon I've ever been to, and I'd say I've been to at least 10 over the past 20 years on the North Shore. Very friendly staff and upbeat atmosphere. And most importantly, skilled stylists that do a great job with a friendly attitude. I use Ghazal and have never had a bad haircut or frustrating experience. She listens to exactly what you want and ensures she delivers every time with meticulous attention to detail. I won't be going anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I am going off a one time experience. Hairdresser seemed unfriendly and before asking me how short I wanted my sides , cut my hair extremely short . I am a guy , my hair will grow back . I should have been more clear on my style , but since I've never had issues anywhere else , I cant say I'm happy with my cut . I'm sure they do a good job and they have great reviews . My advice would be to explain exactly how you want it or bring a picture of the style you like .

Just got a haircut the other day here and could not be more happy! Being a guy who has hair that is extremely difficult to cut and style (stiff, thick and straight) I had previously never found a person who could cut/style my hair. However, after meeting Dariush and letting him work his magic, I FINALLY found that person! I was so excited that I even asked him to take before and after pictures so that I could show my friends at university. Dariush is a super friendly, charismatic and cool guy who has a lot of knowledge when it comes to knowing exactly what his customers want. Would highly recommend :)!

I wish I could give negative points. Don't go there. Disrespectful and unprofessional staff. Me and My brother went there just before Iranian new year(Nowrooz). My barber was the guy named Dariush. He was everything but barber. I can describe him as a disrespectful swindler. He got me the worst haircut ever because he was barely able to use his scissors. I was obviously angry with my look in the mirror which took 3 weeks to become tolerable and he gave me the explanation that you haircut is awful because you don't wash and brush your hair. Let me take the chance and tell him that it is called curly hair. They are still curly even if you wash them a hundred times a day. But you are not a barber so you can't understand that. Learn to respect your customers. My brother had the worst haircut ever too. His fiancee was as angry as hell after she saw his disastrous haircut . The Chinese lady haircut was just like a building attacked by a suicide bomber. Worst decision I've ever made, avoid going near there.

The owner was on (8) Advil pills while cutting my hair ! Guess he didn’t realize I can understand Persian lol . Messed up the very front of my hair as a result, so noticeable! I am very frustrated with this most recent haircut there, only went there to stay loyal Persian4persian thing you know but gosh what a terrible mistake. He offered me a free haircut to make up for it, though I’d rather just leave an honest review to help others make the right decision , AVOID KING HAIR DESIGN AT ALL COSTS! Not worth your time , and they are not worthy of cutting your hair. Especially the owner , on 8 Advil’s!!!!! Ridiculous!

Decided to get a haircut while I was in town and had a great experience here. I walked in without an appointment and they were able to accommodate. They gave me an awesome fade, styled my hair and finished with a relaxing hot towel massage all that for about $30 plus tip. Recommend this place. Tip: check in with yelp for a free perk!

This review is for women hair cut. I had the cut done in December 2014. One can really tell that women hair cuts is not their specialty. That being said, the only difference between a regular hair salon I would go to and this place is lack of adds on: styling, puffing, washing, massaging are not automatically included into the hair cut price or service. But the master who cut my hair was quick and friendly. She did the job within 15 minutes (that's the fastest I had my hair cut since I was 9 years old!). When choosing this place for women hair cut, ask yourself what you are really looking for: a new style, relaxing time, or freshly cut hair. I wouldn't go here to work on my new hair image, or change the style. But for a basic cut to freshen up the ends for $40 (including tax and tip) this is a great place!

Been going to hair king for a while. Hair cuts are fine. Service is horrible. Twice in last two months i had an appointment for a specific time, and had to wait half hour. First time Adam said it was a mistake, second time today, i walked out. My time is worthless to this business. Why make an appointment.? Not like i havent tipped 20% every visit. This place does not care about customers. Reality is, they are busy with walk-ins so why care about repeat booking customers? Well at some point the walkins will fade ..... And me and others wont be there booking appointments. Thanks for nothing Dariush.

This was a horrifying experience! He didn’t know how to cut a woman’s hair CLEARLY and still took me on. He cut a chunk of my hair in the front, made me stand up to cut the hair, used high heat and didn’t even wash it. I was mortified during the whole experience. They just wanted the business and now I have to pay someone else a fortune to fix this disaster.

I'm a relatively new customers of Neda's (I've seen her 4 times now) for brows & facial threading and WOW - go ahead and book with her & don't think twice about it! She's a perfectionist and it shows! She puts in the time and she doesn't end the appointment until everything is perfect. I love that she sometimes will take a before and after picture so you can see the results. Bonus --> you can book online so it's super simple! I recommend Neda for anyone who's looking for flawless eyebrows, you won't regret it!

Daryush was so welcoming each time I visited the salon with my brother. yesterday, Sunday on Valentines day i visited the salon without any appointment and PARIS - what an amazing girl - she did my eyebrows that no other salon ever did so carefully pricking each extra hair from my brow. She was soo professional that she took at least 20 minutes in giving out shape to my eyebrows and gave me a new look. Thank you Paris . Trust me readers at least once try to come to the salon and get your facial or eyebrows or hair colour or hair style done from Paris does everything with so much dedication that it is commendable.Just soooo good. Daryush such a humble owner and hair stylist for mostly men but so kind and that the services are given so properly and staff is so good. Farha the hair stylist so experienced too.
