I absolutely LOVE The Souce Hairdressing! They only use sustainable AVEDA products which are up to 98% naturally derived, which always leaves my hair feeling so fresh and healthy aswell as super shiny! Cant thank Sophia and the girls enough - would highly recommend a trip to The Source Hairdressing!

Had the most DELICIOUS hair experience this morning at The Source organic saloon! Lovely place to walk into, a large round room, nicely decorated with a water feature in the middle, including little baby goldfish. Started off with a chakra sensory essential oil head and neck massage, then went into a beautifully decorated room to have my hair washed while lying back in a leather massage chair. Going back into the first room, had a yummy herbal tea waiting for me, which has essential oils, added to it, you choose from a list, which suits you, and as it is Christmas Eve I was offered a glass of champagne with an added strawberry! Then I had my hair cut, extremely well, textured and styled with organic products. Had a lovely hot flannel pressed to the back of my neck and all the loose hairs brushed off and I was also given a fortune cookie! The best experience, seriously never going back to a “normal” hairdressing saloon again!

I have been going to the Source for tints and cuts since the day I found out I was pregnant over 3 years ago. I have always been slightly allergic (or intollerant) of standard hair dyes and being pregnant I thought trying organic would be a good idea. Loved it from day one - no more tingling, itching or burning. The salon is lovely with a beautiful fountain in the middle and a relaxed, welcoming feel. The prices are about the same as anywhere else along the main commercial area in Joondalup or the City. Sophie and the ladies are lovely. I would definitely recommend The Source, especially if you want to go more organic.

Honestly, for years I have been trying to find a hairdresser that could cut my hair short and for it sit well after it had been, not kinking the wrong way after a few days. Best haircut I have ever had, and I cannot wait to go back. The service and experience also 10/10 ♥️

A delightful experience start to finish - Great massage to start, followed by a relaxing wash and an awesome trim to finish off. The place smells amazing, the decor is beautiful and the girls there really top off the experience with how friendly and professional they are. Definitely will be back - thanks guys :)

My experience today at The Source Hairdressing was incredible. Sophia and her team went above and beyond to create the most relaxing and soul renewing journey one could hope for. I loved the sensory journey, cup of herbal tea and small gift at the end - small things like that go a long way. I had the wonderful Sophia as my hairstylist who I think did an excellent job - she listened to what I wanted but also entwined that with her own knowledge and wisdom on hair. The help of the whole Source team was incredible and I definitely felt looked after the whole time I was there. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back!

Took my teenage daughter to Source hoping they could fix the damage done by a previous hairdresser. Not only did they fix her hair, they made her look absolutely beautiful. We felt so welcomed & comfortable from the minute we walked in. The salon manager & our hairdresser, Tara, were very friendly, professional & knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything to us as well as providing options. My daughter was treated like she was the most important person there & I couldn’t ask for more. We were so happy to find a salon that uses plant based products that are animal cruelty free.

This place couldn't do what I wanted for my hair (because I wanted rainbow kinda colours and the only way to achieve that would be to use less natural products) , but I'm still going to give them 5 stars because this was the nicest rejection I have ever gotten. They didn't just say "well we can't do that here, see you later" . They made sure I talked to the main person (the manager I guess???), she sat me down and explained exactly why they were unable to achieve that with all of natural stuff they use. she gave me some really good advice and I felt like she REALLY cared about how my hair turned out, even though I wasn't a client. It didn't feel like I was talking to a hairdresser, it was more like talking to an old friend (and I have really bad anxiety that i'm on meds for so I HATE HATE HATE talking to people so for me to say that is a big deal). bottom line is 5 stars because even though I wasn't spending any money there, they still make you feel like a VIP and its just a really beautiful place filled with lovely people

Sophia is brilliant! I have curly/wavy hair and it's hard to find a good hairdresser, but Sophia cut it perfectly and offered great advice. It's especially hard to find a great stylist who cares about what's in their products. I love that the salon is focussed on sustainability and uses natural, plant-based products. Book in, as soon as you walk into this place you feel cared for!

I have always struggled to find a hairdresser who can deal with my curly hair... and then I found The Source. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. From the moment I walk in, I am treated with such respect and care from all the staff. The products too are amazing and all eco friendly. Very negative reply from a staff member on my entry......almost turned and left but another person stepped in to save the appt. Kelly was lovely, caring as was your staff member from New Zealand. Enjoyed the care but realistically, it is expensive so not affordable on a regular basis.

It's not often that you find exceptional customer service , where you truly feel valued and looked after. The Source is a beautiful salon with friendly and professional staff who really know what they are doing. I am pretty fussy with my hair and without fail I am always pleased with my cut, colour & style . They also treat you to a little neck and shoulder massage , what more could you want ! Amazing experience from start to finish, beautiful knowledgeable team that really cares for you. My hair was in rather bad shape from a previous salon (and from me DIY box colouring previously) and the team at The Source fixed it in a very professional manner. Excellent products and even better that this is a sustainable salon. I am now a loyal customer and will never go elsewhere. The transformation of my hair is mind blowing, the colour and cut fit me perfectly. Prices are reasonable as well which puts the cherry on the top.

I never saw the value in having a ‘regular’ spot when it comes to getting my hair cut but in the two years I have been coming here Sophia has done an incredible job, always understanding exactly what I was after and doing what is best for my hair and texture etc. I can safely say my hair has never been so healthy. Best hairdressers in Perth, cut and colour lasts for months. I have been going to The Source for years and won’t go anywhere else, the have just moved to North Beach - I would travel to Mandurah for these ladies to style and colour my hair. On a recent visit to Perth in September, my daughter in Law recommended I try the Source Hairdressing , It was such an amazing journey from the head massage through to the friendly informative service I received. I was floating all the way home. Thank you Sophia, you have certainly taught me how to manage my very fine hair. Rude and uncaring. I originally liked the source so my partner purchased a $200 voucher which i had partially used. When I went to use the remaining credit it was just past expiry. When I explained I had spent the last few months in hospital with my then18 month old son who was diagnosed with Leukemia, they still declined and offered me a completentary stress relief hand massage! There was no compassion or care for my situation and i hope this review prevents others being treated this way.

This salon is one of a kind. Sophia and the girls make you feel very welcome and comfortable every single time you visit. I have been a happy client every single time I leave as the customer service is beyond great. This salon is not just a salon, you must visit it to truly experience great customer service!
