When i walked in yesterday. I asked how much do i have to pay for the hair that i wanted for my short hair. They told me $200 i said yes. They gave me a new hair stylist and did a lousy job for my hair highlights. You cant even see the highlights by looking at the front. And when its time to pay the owner charge me $260 for a short hair. Wow! What a terrible experienced!

I didn't get the person I booked my appointment with. I was told upon arrival that that person no longer does haircuts! So disappointed as I had been getting my cut from her all along. There's favouritism: People who get their hair color done are treated with better customer service compared to people getting hair cuts. I didn't feel welcomed in this place. There's secrecy: they were not open about the price and they tried to charge me more during payment. The quality of service: the person cutting my hair was not as experienced as what I came for. Her hands were shaking when cutting my hair and she took 1hr just for hair cut. Very slow. Some other person blow dried my hair as they took other customers in between. Be prepared to spend 2+ hours for haircut here. In the end, my cut was average but the whole experience was ruined.

Pay using debit when going here! When paying in cash, they never seem to punch the total into the cash register, thereby evading the taxes and pocketing the total. I wouldn't mind it if I got a decent hair cut but damn it bad, take note. *wink* Now for the service. Haircuts are horrible, although I did once get a hair cut from this guy Pepito which was fairly good (great actually - he knew what he was doing). The other people that cut your hair don't seem to do a quality job. In fact, some don't even seem to know how to cut hair. Their equipment is fairly lacking (dull scissors, crappy trimmers, lack of comb/trimmer clip ons, etc.) and their chairs are uncomfortable - they are NOT barber chairs. Staff seem to be too laid back, they walk wherever they want and when there is an appointment, they are nowhere to be found. This may be because they don't have many customers. Price. Pretty much a rip off considering what you're actually getting. All in all, I hope never to get my haircut at this place again. Thanks very much lab salon & spa for the worst haircut ever.

Been there for the first time for my skin consultations. I like the way that they were consoulting me .They were very professional .i got nice treatment for my skin & i saw the result right away .i have to follow my treatment in that salon .i will use the yanka product that they suggested me and for sure, i will be happy .i like the lab salon & spa beacuse they were so professional & friendly .And the spa was very clean & the person who is working in the spa was very knowledgeable .

Had an unpleasant experience with the manager of this place who seems to work as the front desk person, which is why I had to give it 2 stars. The waxing beautician Peri was great and I was happy with her services but upon paying for the service I was told the price is actually $20 and not $15 (as stated on their website). I was not warned about this change and the man was rude saying that "it is only $5", implying that I was being cheap to try to argue that they should have told me about this in advance. After having submitted to my request, he gave me the machine and processed the payment without letting me add tips for the beautician. I asked him whether I could give her tips and if I should give it to him or her directly and he said: "give her whatever you want, if you want to give her $100..give her $100..give it to me..give it to her..do whatever you want"...basically, was very unprofessonal and rude. I liked Peri but didn't get a chance to give her tips and definitely will not come back again because of the utmost lack of professionalism by this manager.

Parents & guardians need to know that there is no price list posted here & for the sake of clarity The Lab has responded with incorrect information. I recommend not bringing your teenager here due to The Lab over charging & difficulties we had. Ensure you ask what their prices are in advance bc I made mistake of not doing so & ended up with a whopping three hundred dollar bill for a cut (that didn't happen) & balayage which is what we said we did not want due to its expense of $350 on its website. We asked for & got lovely highlights for my teenage daughter yet we were still charged for the balayage as you can see. Despite explaining to the hair stylist afterwards the going price for teenagers in the city of Toronto is $175 to $200 I felt we got terribly ripped off. There is no reason to jab anyone with that pricing especially after I said $350 was too much. The entire procedure was a lengthy 2.5 hours. My spouse picked up our daughter & was met at the front desk by the receptionist who spoke meekly he couldn't figure out what she said. She then held up the debit card machine that showed $300 was owed. When a stylist spends considerable time with a client she is the individual who should be presenting the bill instead of giving it to someone else who wasn't even their to know what procedures were done. The Lab prefers doing this for obvious reasons. Hopefully The Lab will learn from their mistakes and please remove my daughter's card from your roster as she will not return. Client's despise owners who say one thing & do something else.

My hair looks great... except that I got something TOTALLY different from what I wanted even though I showed a picture to the hairdresser. I told her multiple times that I wanted shorter hair, yet she thought my picture was only for colour reference... She did a balayage on the full length of my hair as if I didn’t want a haircut and most of the blonde would’ve been cut off if I would’ve proceeded so I decided to only get a trim. I am extremely disappointed, I went to the hair salon to get a haircut first, the balayage was only meant to compliment the haircut. It ended up costing me $320 to get something I didn’t ask for. I would’ve stayed home if I had known. Oh and there was some type of drama happening while I was there, sounded like an unhappy client, but I can’t tell for sure.

My young daughter went to trim her bangs and they actually managed to cut them on a slant. She is very shy and paid anyway while noting that both the owner and the 'supposed' hairdressed were both snickering. I guess that's what they consider professional. Never going back to this place. If I had been there with her I wouldn't have paid a cent.

I'd leave a 0 if I could. I feel awful all my Google reviews are either amazing 5* or awful but I guess I like to be honest I came in asking for plum colour and got orange then was told that *I* was the one at fault that I was wrong. I asked politely that they fix it please and they did after much hesitation. It is better now but still not what I asked for. When they fixed my hair they didn't even put a proper cover on me like they did the first time and entirely ruined my top which was one of my favorites. I wish I could post photos to show you guys everything. My husband is colourblind and even he could see the initial colour was nothing close to what I asked for. Orange bright red is certainly not plum. I paid the 200 dollars they asked and used to come here for hair cuts without any issues. I won't be coming here again and don't recommend you do unless you see the owner of the salon Layla.

It's such an amazing salon that I have ever seen in my life because the salon it's so clean and the tools like the scissors, hairbrushes that they use are sanitized. Those things are really important to me because during this pandemic virus(COVID) I can't trust other salons but I absolutely trust this salon because I know they are professional, they work professionally there, and they keep the salon always decontaminate and clean. I would like to say thank you Lela because of my hair cut I love it so much. I used to get hair cuts from other salons but I did have the satisfaction but this time I think I found my barber as I have fully satisfied right now. They had good ovations and attitudes, for example, they told me what would you like to drink I told them I would like to drink a cup of coffee rn, they brought me the free coffee and I consider that as a good ovation. Lela’s attitude was good, she was talking while she was cutting my hair and then she give me some products to use for my hair as a gift because my hair always is dry but she knew what I have to use for my hair to get better. I also like to mention an important thing, when I was there I've seen good corporations between employees and workers. My advice is once you go to this salon you won't regret that.

WORST HAIR SALON IN NORTH YORK!!! Worst experience I have had in all my 37 years. I went in on Sunday afternoon with pictures. I showed the stylist Laila (who is also the owner). She told me she is an expert and I trusted her to do my hair as the picture showed (balayage transitioning naturally from dark brown to very light blonde). I was in the chair for about 3 hours at the end she styled and curled. It cost over $350.00. That evening I went out, when I came home I washed and brushed my hair not really paying much attention. When I woke up in the morning I realized my hair was 2 distinct colours at the top redish black and from the ears down almost white... No natural transition at all. I immediately call the lab and spoke to Lelia's husband co-owner. He told me no problem they will fix it for free. He told me to come in after 5 that day. I was happy they were willing to fix the botch job. At about 2 that day the man called me and said Leila is not available asking me to come the next day after 10 to get it fixed. Well I went in at about 10:30 there was no customers there. I saw Leila and approached her smiling and said hi. She had already talked to her husband and knew I was coming. I showed her the picture and pointed out that my hair was 2 toned. Her daughter also approached as we are talking and started yelling at me in a very rude and aggressive manner. When I became upset about how I was being treated the daughter called security. Lelia continued to call me a lier that I didn't have the same picture I was showing her now (which was not true). The family Leila, her husband and daughter talked in another language it seemed like in a negative way about me. When the security came the daughter finally became quiet. They did nothing to help and I ended up going to the salon across called Trade Secrets which were very kind. I had Marinela help me to repair the job. These people are absolutely disgusting, unprofessional and don't have a clue about customer service, respect or doing a good hair job. AVOID!!!

Went there before my friend's wedding. Their "nail specialist" painted my nails, I think a 5 years old could do it the same way. The first coat had stains, the second one was too thick in some places, so it got crackles. The lady did not remove the top sticky layer, so by the time I got home my nails had a lot of dust and particles on them. Too bad I cannot post the pictures here. When I got home I had to redo it myself. I paid for their service, but will never come back again.

I have wanted Green hair since I was 11 or 12. I used to go to TPL and read books, including comic books. It was then that I fell in love with the Marvel Universe. One of my favourite characters was and still is Polaris. It was she, who made me fall in love with the colour green. I have wanted green hair ever since. I started dying my hair around 2 years ago. I've done Purple, Blue, Magenta and Red, but I always wanted Green. I finally went in last week and go it done. My Polaris mode is now activated. I'm so pleased with the result, Green Balayage using Joico Colour Intensity in shades: Peacock Green and Kelly Green. My hair was done by Leyla. I always get my hair done by her. I've included photos of when she did my red hair. I wish I had photos of the purple highlight she did for me as well. A wonderful job done as always. Also, if you're looking for good brow service, check out Ameneh and Sohelia at this salon as well. There is also a younger lady as well, but I forgot her name. They all do such a wonderful job with both threading and wax. They take their time, which I personally like. I feel like getting your hair or brows done, should be luxury experience, which is what I feel whenever I'm at the Lab Salon. It doesnt feel rushed or hurried. They're very professional.

Not the best manicure I've had, especially as the lady who did my nails cut too deep into my cuticle and ripped the corner skin on one of my fingers, and didn't apologize or acknowledge it until I kept wincing in pain. As it was healing over a few days, it hurt any time I accidentally bumped something into this part of my hand. The overall manicure is okay - not the neatest; I have some air bubbles and some transparent parts with not enough coating covering the entire nail bed. But the lady was so nice that I have to give it at least 2 for customer service.

I will totally recommend it to anyone that wants to either get their hair done or a balayaage. I got treatment and they had used the best products for my hair. I've had good haircuts and bad haircuts here. One time I booked an appointment and then came in but someone else took me and the hairstylist was looking for me. I was confused by the mix up but it seemed like a language barrier. Funnily enough I got my hair cut not too long ago by a Persian woman who didn't speak English at all and it was the best haircut I've had there.

Leila (one of the mangers) is the rudest person I have ever seen, also they don't know how to treat a costumer, for example I was asking them what are they doing to my hair, then all of a sudden Leila started to talk to me in a very bad way, which later it ended in a fight and she started cursing me. After that Leila told me that I have started the fight because I didn't want to pay for their service, which then I got very mad and asked the mall security to come. Thank God that her husband which was a good man was there to stop the fight, but that would not make me want to go back there ever again. She was also very rude to other hairdressers that were working there. I think that Leila should understand that she should learn how to treat people nicely because her actions were not acceptable at all !!

If I were you, steer clear from this salon!! They would not give you the actual price for your hair when you ask for an estimate. They would just lure you into getting your hair done at that location and tell you the price once your hair is done. Mind you, this salon charges a fortune and it is not worth your money!! no wonder not a lot of people go there!!

This is by far the WORST hair salon ever. The customer service is terrible. They are crooks! I have been going here for 2 years and i have been paying $50 every time. I booked a haircut for yesterday and i asked the man on the phone if it is still $50 and he said yes. I go and they charge me $67. I explained that i was told $50 and he said "we raised the prices" well then don't tell me $50 and charge me more. I have NO issues paying $67 for a ladies haircut as that is a standard fair price these days. What i DO NOT appreciate is being lied to, all he said to say was "unfortunately $50 cannot be honoured anymore as with covid we had to raise our prices" . Because of the lying i am taking my business elsewhere. I told the owner and his response was " I don't care go elsewhere" .. some great business. My family and i have been coming here for years and there are always problems. Due to their lying and terrible customer service myself and my family will be finding another place.

THE WORST HORRIBLE STORY OF MY LIFE! Speaking to one of the ladies over the phone first…. (There is only 2 people who usually do laser hair removal) - So I had seen an ad online to have laser hair removal, full body would be $300. I decided to call and I ended up speaking to a very nice lady who had advised me that it would take about 6 treatments and anything after 6 treatments would be free. I specifically asked that question a few times, since I couldn't believe what I heard, so the lady on the phone said, “yes, don't worry I will touch up any areas I missed for free”. I had also advised her that I have a trip the following month and she said I will be fine as long as I have 1 week of space before going on my trip. I told her that my trip is at the ending of next month and she said I have a lot of time. So I said okay, please book for the following day. Going into the Salon…. I went in for my appointment around 11 40, being 40 minutes late, they still took me, which I found nice of them, The front desk person (I believe whose name is Elli Last name which I believe is Farqoor) Told me to have a seat. She then seemed very hesitant about helping me and giving me this laser hair removal package. She pretty much said everything in the book to avoid me from taking it, but never explaining to me why. ( I found out now, that's its first time for doing laser hair removal for someone with my color - brown) She also told me that no there will be no free touch up-then said maybe there might be one. We then went into the back room to have my full legs done. She told me to sign this piece of paper and then told me to take off my pants and underwear and to lie down. She also gave me these goggles for your eyes and told me to put it on. Now that I have these goggles on, I couldn’t see one single thing. Without notice, she started putting this freezing cold jelly like substance on me. I get that's part of her job, but a heads up would have been nice. Maybe if she had said “hey I’m going to put something on you, it might be a bit cold- don’t worry its normal" I probably wouldn’t have mind. When she started the laser hair removal, it hurt a lot and I kept on jumping. I managed to take the pain, and let her get through a few rows. She then scraped the jelly substance off my legs put them on the other leg and repeated the same process there. She then noticed red swelling on my skin (I removed my goggles at this point) and she said that happening because I kept on jumping. She then left the room, and went to get a cup to scrape off all the jelly substance off the front of my body. This wouldn’t have been so bad, had she not left the door open to our room. I was half naked for Christ sakes! There were also male employees working there too! I found this very rude of her! She then pumped some aloe based gel on my legs and told me to rub them in. (she also acted like she was grossed out to touch me, which pissed me off even more since this is part of her job) ... So I’m thinking at this point, I’m paying you $200, to do some of the work for MY OWN treatment!?!? The jelly substance got all over my sweater, to make matters worse! She then finished the back of my legs, never touch the sides. When I asked her why only the front and back was a bit swollen and not the sides, she said “Oh don’t worry I did those parts, it’s just you didn’t jump so it didn’t leave marks” I never felt the machine touch me on my sides, so I know she was lying. When I asked her for a towel to get the substance off my legs she left the door open again, and came back with a towel. When I finished whipping my legs and placed the towel on the bed, she picked up using 2 fingers as if she was grossed out by me. - go to my google page to read the rest of this nightmare. I would also leave a ”O” re The Lab Hair Salon. In November 2019, I had a hair cut, coloured of my hair roots and highlight by Leila. The highlight was too light. So Leila put a toner all over my hair and my highlights were all gone. Also I told Leila that I wanted the right side of my hair longer as shown in the picture of a model but she cut it short. It was a waste of my $150.00. . When I came home, I realized that my highlight was all gone and the base color didn’t cover my roots of my white hair. I called the hair salon and the male owner was very rude on the phone. He talked very loud and told me to go back to show Leila. I went back to the hair salon. I told Leila I was not happy with her job and that the root color was too light and didn’t cover my white hair, all the highlights were gone and she didn’t do what I told her to leave the right side of my hair longer same as the picture of the model I showed to her. She didn’t respond to me. So I asked her if she can do something about my hair. Leila then told me she would touch up my roots but was busy and couldn’t touch up my hair roots on that day. I asked if I could go back the next Friday and she said OK and no charge for me. When I went back the next Friday, Leila and the owner had a very unfriendly look and long face. I sat on the couch and waited for Leila to finish blow drying her client for 15 mins. After Leila finished her job with her client, she came over to me and then changed her promise and said that I would have to pay in order to have my hair roots done again. I was very upset and she didn’t care at all. I would never go back to this hair salon.

I got haircut from last week. I ask for a short layered hair cut. The lady cut it to short on top it ended up looking like a mullet from the 70s. U guys shud update ur styles, its 2018. Now i have to deal with this ugly haircut for half a year.

After the long covid lockdown, I was excited that the salons were finally opened. The first thing I wanted was a haircut and highlights for my hair. Lab salon was love at first sight (literally). When I and my friend went there for our hair cut, we met Leila. She was so friendly and understood what we wanted for our hair. She quickly gave me a beautiful highlights for my hair. I loved the color she put on my hair. After I saw the outcome of what she did to my hair, I was totally speechless, it was so amazing. Most of my friends told me that my haircolor was their favorite ( who wouldn’t want to have a hair that’s actually everyone’s fav lol).
