Everyone there are wonderful, polite, attentive receptive from the minute you walk in. Fantabulous hairdressers! Sloane's offer coffee, tea,, wine or water, juices to drink with food snacks as you want or need. Sloanes offer anything you require while you are being attended to there. Jake, Dom and all the staff make everything easy for you. Fantastic results with all styles, cuts and colours. Terrific wash with incredibly relaxing head massage too. Every client there was given first rate attention and the results from all hairdressing was outstanding. Jake gave me a complete restyle with a magnificent cut and colour. Everything in every area at Sloane's was all together fabulous, every aspect was very impressive top quality. You will find everything about this salon is dazzling and elegant. Free wifi, a comfortable place to work from as well. There are a great choice of high quality products for all hair types as well. Enjoy!

Jordan is literally the only person I let touch my hair. I love to have my appts with him and always leave feeling like my hair looks fresher, healthier and more beautiful. I went in to Sloans with hopes for a miracle that would fix a horrible haircut I got a couple days prior. Choppy, blocky, uneven and un-blended huge layers in the front was what I was dealing with and Sam is THE MAGICIAN who saved my life (not exaggerating). He is an absolute legend and I will never put my hair in anyone else's hands. He took his time to examine the damage, explain our options, what the process will look like to fix it over time and what we can do to make it look as best as it can for now while the horrible chops in the front grow out and stop giving me grief. I left the salon feeling comfortable with wearing my hair down which I honestly thought wouldn't happen for a while. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH SAM!!!!!!!!!!

This review is very belated, but hopefully valuable nonetheless. Salon itself - good location, nice set up, had a dog in when I went which was lovely! They also used Kerastase, which is what I was already using on my hair at the time and the products are nice. Staff seemed to have a nice vibe between themselves, and that day it was an apprentice's birthday so they had bought her a cake (although they were surprised when she ate it all to herself in the back room without sharing, and they all had a laugh about that lol). I had a consultation and it was looking at around the $400 mark - crazy expensive but I was willing to pay to have dreamy hair. I used to go to Sloans Lane Cove back in the day (~10years ago) and the girls there always gave me great hair! On the day of my appointment, Jordan said he would add something on to my hair which would make it just over $500. It felt mental to pay that much, but again I had high hopes and the promise of princess hair! I should have walked out as soon as they handed the waiver to sign. I have since seen many other stylists and none have had me sign a waiver to say that you understand what the stylist is going to do. If anything they should sign one to say that they understand what the client wants. Very strange and immediately made me worried that perhaps they often make mistakes and this is to cover their backs? Not sure if they still do this; hopefully not. During the process there were a couple of things going on that I hadn't asked for and when I mentioned it I was met with a defensive and patronising response that made me feel like I couldn't discuss my own hair. The communication could have been a little more considerate and positive, rather than what might be seen as 'rude'. At the end of the day, I wasn't completely happy with my colour, which I fully expected to be for the price. The cut was nice. I really hoped to love the result from this salon, it is unfortunate that this wasn't the case on this occasion. And the fact I had dropped a sweet $500 on it made it all the worse. I see that many other clients are happy with their results, which is great, but this was my experience at Sloans North Syd.

If Jordan ever retires he better believe I’ll be pulling up a chair in his living room for my 10 weekly cuts! There are so many elements that make Sloans the ONLY salon in Sydney to trust with your hair, the attention to detail, the professionalism, the knowledge, and the salon itself is always in immaculate clean condition (even before COVID). Not to mention all the extra touches of service make the whole experience a pure delight. I have referred at least 6 other people to the salon and they, like myself, are all now long term clients of Sloans. The truth is in the pudding there.

I visited Sloans North Sydney on November 4th to have my hair coloured and cut prior to an event. On initial consultation with Jordan, I told him that I wanted to have creamy light brown foils (3/4 head). He told me he understood and then made me sign a form that says they don't offer refunds, before he had even started. After five hours in the salon, I left with grey foils. Some started at the roots of my hair and others half way down my head. There were obvious bleeds along the scalp and the root my hair was yellow. He bleached my hair to the extent that I started to have breakage the next day when brushing my hair. I then booked an appointment with another hairdresser my mum knew who I had confidence could fix my hair as I did not trust Jordan to do so. After sending 2 emails to Sloans to have this rectified, as it was almost another $400 to have fixed, I received no response. I then called the salon and was met by a very rude Jordan who told me "that's what happens when you go blonde" and "I'm not giving you any money back, its your fault for not coming to me to have it fixed". I am totally disgusted and disappointed in the entire experience and even more so the way my complaint was dealt with.

I requested to have the split ends cut from my long hair – about 3 inches. However, the ‘stylist’ cut 10 inches to create a bob with NO input from me. Additionally, the ‘stylist’ lacked the skills to cut my curly hair and excluded all layers and styling. I would NOT recommend this salon for any anyone wanting input into how their hair looks. The salon’s client management is also appalling; after blaming me for the cut when I stated my concerns, the owner was condescending and insulting.

Sloan's North Sydney IS THE BEST!!! Once a month we head to Sloans. As busy working mums, we walk in exhausted & walk out feeling fabulous. "It's our one & only down time". Staff are so professional and fun, so many laughs!!! They actually listen and make us feel special. Excellent experience. I had Sam myself, but everyone else seemed just as friendly, professional, and capable. I also love the fact that I was quoted at the start and asked if I was okay to proceed; I think its a common experience for people to be stung at the end with extra fees etc. This salon has a lot of integrity and above average customer service.
