this was my first time at sloans and ruby was extremely nice. her and im guessing the manager of hair colour were talking and preparing on what to do with my hair. we had a nice and comfortable consultation at the start and they all ensured me i had a great time and loved my hair. ruby is also really nice we had a really good and long chat about movies and tv shows we liked. def recommend this place

Excellent. I went on a friend's referral and was really impressed. Warm welcome. Professional set-up. Tea, biscuit and initial consult is done in double-quick time. Clearly they allow enough time to prep and complete each service without the long wait times experienced at other places. Staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this salon more highly.

Outstanding salon and I have been going there on and off for years! Every single time I get my hair done there someone always immediately asks me where I go! Tracey (irish lady) completely restyled my hair last week and I couldn’t be more thrilled! It was a big risk for me to get my hair cut quite short and I’ve had huge raves about it! I love it! The service is exemplary from reception to payment everything is professional and five star!! Only very experienced staff and exceedingly well trained by Scott and Kate! You cannot go wrong with this salon it’s the best!!

I probably had high expectations and was not very impressed after my recent visit for a simple wash, straight trim and dry. I was cut by a senior stylist. There were a couple interruptions, due to several phone calls and friend customers entering the salon. The stylist being constantly distracted and interrupted gave me as a customer an unsettled feeling. As a customer I like to get full attention and care when being helped. I also felt the stylist was very rushed to get the job over and done with and soon went to another customer who entered the store. I didn't feel as if the senior stylist took time for me. A friendly new, junior stylist finished my hair. She was told by the senior stylist to blow-dry my hair straight. Normally, I'm asked how I would like my hair when walking out of the salon (I always straighten it with an hair straightener), but this time I wasn't asked this and after the blow-dry it was all done. I don't feel I got value out of the $80 I payed. The job was very rushed, interrupted and I didn't feel I got a lot of attention from the senior stylist that I really wanted, and I wish I was asked and listened to more. I also had to fill in a questionnaire when I arrived and indicated some concerns and problems with my current shampoo, but I've no idea what happened to the questionnaire as that was never attended to, nor discussed with me. I left without discussing or buying shampoos. Just some points for improvement: -avoid multiple interruptions, such as phone calls and other people entering the store. Try to focus on the customer and minimise the interruptions. -ask and listen to the customer's desires: what hairstyle does the customer want when walking out of the salon? -either discuss the filled in questionnaire, or don't ask the customer to complete it if not used. -I know you guys are time pressed, but don't give the customer a rushed feeling, nor give the customer the impression this is another job that needs to be done quickly before the next customer arrives. Try to give the customer the impression you have all time and attention for them so that they walk happy out of your salon! I hope that this is helpful! All the best!

I'm new to the area and had to find a new hairdresser. I'm very fussy about colour and only use L'oreal so picked this salon to have a regrowth and blow dry - only based on the fact that they stock this product. Extremely happy with my first experience. Nice salon, clean, real coffee, choice of water, salon labelled biscuits. Was immediately seated, offered refreshments and given magazines. Even happier with my stylist Brittany who was knowledgable with plenty of experience and who did a great job at matching my regrowth and turning my humid weather, frizzy hair into shiny, wavy locks. The owner was very engaged with his staff and staff seemed happy there. I certainly did not feel rushed and felt like I got 100% uninterrupted attention. I'll be back, can't wait to see if she's as talented at cutting as well. Thanks Brittany x

I've never left a google review before but this was such a terrible experience that I just felt like I couldn't not. Sloans was by far the worst colour job and salon experience I've ever had. I went in for some simple highlights and walked out with massive dye bleeds (that made me look like I have massive bald patches) and very uneven distribution of foils/colour that are significantly out from the roots. I have had to have them redone at another salon. The staff were extremely arrogant and rude; I was also charged much more than I anticipated - lots of add ons they didn’t quote to me or tell me about prior. An all round completely regrettable experience; and surprising considering they get good reviews. Shocking.

Awful. I have ash blonde hair naturally which has been lightening. I said what I wanted was to blend the ashy regrowth and wanted it to continue to look natural. They recommended blended foils in the lighter blonde and my natural colour. What I got was warm browny blonde striped with bleach white. Plus damaged hair because the hairdresser instructed the helper to comb out my hair when it was shampooed rather than conditioned because she wanted to 'check' it before conditioning but was too busy cutting someone else's hair. Be very careful to ask for someone who earned the rewards that they rave about - the person I had sure didn't!!!

Despite the high prices they only booked me in for 30min for a men’s wash and cut. When I got there they were rushing to get people in and out to maximize turnover so silly me running 7min late meant that my booking got bumped. Judging by the attitude of the receptionist and complete indifference I’m glad I never got to spend my money there. So much for customer service. My recommendation is to find another hairdresser who takes the time to make their customers feel welcome.

The worst ever experience???? Kate, the hairdresser rushed through the whole cut, i advised her that i had just washed my hair, and she still asked me to pop into that chair where they wash your hair. Then quickly did the cut and just blow dried. I asked her not to leave my hair like that as it looked just awful. I asked her to straighten it and she said "I will if I have time"!. In short, the whole experience definitely was not worth the 77$.
