DO NOT go here for hair colouring!!! Went to lighten up my brown and they sent me home with the same colour I came in with but with a bright orange hue mixed in! One of the workers was very rough washing my hair and had one of the worst dye jobs I've ever seen (bright red with black roots). If the staff has bad hair, that's the biggest sign to TURN AROUND. Good thing it's close to Halloween because my hair looks SCARY and ORANGE!!!

Dana and her crew are fantastic. They use top quality hair dye that lasts for months. They know how to cut curly hair properly. My sister got married recently and the whole wedding party got their hair done. Everyone was treated fantastic, no one was rushed. We all left looking like goddesses.

The foils were left in FAR TOO LONG and my hair broke off. The entire underneath of my hair is short compared to the rest of my head. The colour didn't last and I'm left with very damaged hair. So disappointing.

Really enjoy coming here and getting my hair done. Amanda is amazing! Came in first to try a cut and see how I liked it. Then came for a colour and keratin treatment. Now I'm back for my touch up. Excellent location with lots of parking. Great hours. Friendly staff. Cleaner than most salons I've been too which makes the whole experience fantastic. You can book online which is why I tried them in the first place but now I'm rebooking after each service because I love the way my hair looks. I have mixed hair which is super curly when I'm between relaxers. I don't get my relaxers done here but everything else. Worth the switch.

My experience purely with the people at Shear Oasis was amazing. I went in for bio gel nails, but the nail tech was on holidays. They offered to book an appointment, but I was from out of town so I didn't know when I would be back again. Instead of pushing to book an appointment still, like most places would've, they immediately suggested another place saying "_______ down the streets is also really good for the same price". Defiantly will go back and have my nails done there to see if their job is as good as their customer service! The salon also look to be very clean, well kept and professional with a very fun and close team working there. Defiantly want to go back!

Probably the best place to get a haircut in North Bay. I've been going here for almost 3 years now and they've done an amazing job every time. Some may say the price is steep, but you're paying for consistency every single time. Plus the staff are always super nice. Great place all around.

Went here for a haircut. The hairdresser was nice, she styled in the way I asked her to, and the price was good. I would make this review four stars, if it weren't for you guys really pushing the boundaries of the red zone restrictions. The maximum amount of people allowed in buildings during red zone restrictions is 10, and there were maybe 10 clients in the building when I went, but with each a corresponding hair dresser, and with other employees coming and going from the back of the building. You guys were really pushing it. Having the front door open does not compensate for this. Plus, what's with the "no more lockdowns" sign in the front window? It was seriously off-putting. Not a professional look at all. Despite the good service, I won't be going back, not until the establishment becomes a little more covid-protocol friendly at least. EDIT: Very disappointed in the response from the owners. Even if hair salons are, through some loophole, excluded from the 10 person rule, you completely failed to address the uncomfortable amount of people within the building. I as a client was extremely uncomfortable, and I doubt I was the only one. Just because you're allowed to skirt around that limitation does not mean it is smart or safe to do so. This is especially sleazy considering the borderline "I won't sue you if I catch covid here" paper you make your clients sign before they have their appointments. I should've walked away the second I saw that. You also completely ignored my comment about your tacky, insensitive, and distasteful "no more lockdowns" sign. I hope that means you've taken it down, at the very least. Lockdowns are what keep us safe from covid 19, even if they are strenuous. That sign is a spit in the face to every person who has tragically passed away as a result of covid, and a spit in the face to every person who has lost a family member to covid, is sick or suffering. I'm lowering my review to 2 stars. Will not be coming back here ever again.

Coming here from Sudbury called ahead and they booked me in within the hour. My hairdresser was Kate Stewart, she did a fantastic job with my hair! I had damaged my hair from dying it so i needed to cut it from shoulder length and got a pixie cut. I didn't have anything in mind and she managed to create a really good look. Thank you Kate :)

I am guessing that you are a very sad person Bogey Man, how sad. Maybe you should reach out to loved ones or friends for some help. Small businesses are struggling to stay in business and support a team of staff and you think it’s ok to attack them for following protocols that the health unit provided to them and attack them for having a piece of paper in the window. The staff at Shear Oasis is wonderful, they put the health of their customers first and have followed protocols provided to them by the health unit since the pandemic started. Maybe you could try to give positive reviews as we all struggle with the pandemic! Or maybe just don’t go to a salon until everyone has a vaccine so that you can remain safe.

I used to fear the salon, too many appointments left in tears. I will never avoid the hair dresser again after today! My stylist (I never got your name and I wish I had! The wonderwoman with red hair and a cheerful disposition!) Acheived my desired style instantly. She was kind, she made me feel comfortable, and she gives a damn good head massage while you get your foils, 100/10 would recommend this salon 10000/10 would recommend that stylist!
