I went to this salon for the first time after last lockdown was over. My hair stylist was Raquel. I really liked her personality and her work. I got a hair cut and I loved the cut. I am planning to go back to get my colour/balayage done. I liked that she did not rush me to get it done asap. She said that I still could wait it out. Looking forward to going back to this salon once the lockdown is over.

My hair seems to magically stop growing after a certain length and I always wanted to have longer hair than what I currently have, shoulder length. I visited various salons during the past few years asking for help as well as asked about extensions to be told “NO” can’t do it for your hair type. Very desperate as my son’s wedding was fast approaching so I set out again and I came across Locale J Hair. Spoke with a super nice guy “Joe” and he never once said “NO”, he said let’s see what I can do. Needless to say I have the most amazing extensions, looks 100% natural. No one at the wedding, friends or family ever questioned my hair but all said that my hair was so beautiful and can’t believe how long it got! Suffice to say I’ve had these extension since September 2014, 2 touch-ups (every 4-months). This hair salon knows their stuff. They are very professional, not about taking your money, customer oriented and ensure that their value clientele are 100% satisfied. I recommend Locale J Hair to everyone!

I got a great haircut from Joe [tattoo Joe, younger Joe,) I told him to cut it like someone else and although it wasn't exactly how I wanted it ended up being perfect and I actually ended up loving it. He has many awards on his table and he is a very good haircutter.

Exactly what I wanted. I went by one online review about Steven, and I must completely concur with the reviewer that he is talented. I had a tight graduation bob and it looked amazing. I would totally fork up the money to have this man cut and style my hair.

Horrible customer service!!! I went years ago and got a cut with Steve. Initially I liked what he did so I went back for a very drastic cut. He didn't listen to what i wanted at all! He cut my hair waaaaay too short and i atead of balayage, I ended up with one thick blonde streak on the left side of my head. I attempted to get it fixed which they did for me, but it didn't really help. I hadn't been back for years because of that experience, until last week. My regular stylist is no longer working i Toronto so i had to find a new one. A friend recommended a different stylist at Local J so i thought I'd give it a try. Alessia did a great job with the cut and the color is pretty. However, again, she didnt really listen to what i asked for. I wanted ombre, i got highlights. I wanted sunkissed honey colored blonde, i got ashy sand blonde. I specifically asked her to NOT make the blonde stripey or ashy, but somehow thats exactly what i ended up with. The worst part is that even though, i am not unhappy with the result, i am extremely dissatisfied. When you pay close to $300 for a service, you'd expect to get what you want! Even if you didnt ask for it but are unhappy, you should still provide good customer service and please the client! After multiple emails back and forth with Alessia, she has not offered to fix my hair at all, unless I pay more of course (but that was only after the 3rd email). I will definitely not be going back there!!!
