I’ve been visiting this place this year and their hair school is amazing!! The teachers are so good, they understand your hair, texture (all different types!!) and oversee the students so you’re essentially getting the best service for the cheapest possible price! From hair dye to cuts to blow dries, the students are amazing! I took my mom there and she had an equally amazing experience. They even do kids and the students are sooooo amazing with kids, they kept mine distracted and got the cut done even when she’d refused to let anyone touch her hair! Amazing amazing amazing! I would never go anywhere else for my hair now :)

I am currently enrolled full time in the Medical Aesthetics program - (graduating soon) Vaughan location. I absolutely loved my instructors Olga and Anna. They are both well educated, informed and go over and above their requirements of teaching. Olga is definitely over qualified and extremely valued by all. The school would not be the same without her. I feel that the services are current; you have more than enough time to practice what is being taught and every accommodation is made by management to ensure the students are happy. I highly recommend this school!

Schooling here has been so great for me! I got a job even before I finished my makeup diploma and I can confidently say Angelina (our makeup teacher) and Jenny (another makeup teacher) played a role in boosting my confidence. I had one of my worst hair experiences here today. Being a student I figured I’d give this place a try to save a few bucks. Big mistake. I wanted them to do a root touch up and pull the colour through, but apparently they don’t do that. Why? I have no clue but whatever it is, it’s a joke. I just wanted my roots dyed and the rest of my hair refreshed. They said they would match my current colour (which was faded) and I’m like okay whatever I’ll live with it. Before the student mixed my hair colour she went and double checked with the head hair instructor who came back with her and determined my colour was supposed to be 6. I have been a 4 (a warm brown) for many years, and for reference a 7 is a blonde. Right before the student goes to apply the colour I voice my concerns and she’s like “no! Let me show you!” And brings the colour swatch over and puts it up against my hair and I’m like “OMG ITS SO LIGHT!!!!” And she’s like “no, trust me. It will be fine.” and just starts putting the colour on my hair while I’m in protest mode. That really upset me. And once she’s done my roots she starts PULLING THE COLOUR THROUGH (which they said they don’t do!!!) and the instructor comes in and YELLS at her. This instructor (a lady with red hair - I think her name was Misty) was the rudest and most unprofessional woman I have ever met in my life. She was just walking around barking orders and she was even rude to me. I felt so sorry for these girls who had to deal with her. She was not making it a friendly (of safe for that matter) environment. I wanted to call her out for her behaviour but she already gave me flack for wanting to colour my roots a 4 and pull the colour through that I just let it be. Anyway, I was right - a 6 was WAY too light. I ended up with blonde roots. I was mortified. Like I know this is a school and they’re learning, but this was the girl’s LAST DAY. She was GRADUATING. And she honestly seemed like she was clueless. She also did a horrible job at cutting my hair. But upon realizing my hair was messed up, I told her to get the red headed instructor back in here. The lady barged in and I said “I told you I was a 4 and you made her put a 6 on me! Look at how light my roots are!” And the lady says “no, we matched your regrowth”, which is my NATURAL colour (technically a 6) but the rest of my hair was a faded 4! Then she has the audacity to throw her student under the bus and say “your roots are lighter because she pulled the colour through your hair and made the rest of it darker”..... HOW IS THIS WOMAN A TEACHER???? Any person who passed kidergarten knows putting a light colour (6) on top of a dark colour (4) will NOT make it darker. I was so disgusted by her lack of knowledge and how she made her student take the blame when she was the one who told her what to do in the first place. They didn’t even listen to me in the first place which isn’t showing the students good client relationship skills. The miserable instructor told the girl to re-do it and I’m like heck no I am going to get it fixed by a professional. The worst part is the girl told me she felt like she should have mixed a 4 and 5 together to do my root touch up, but went with a 6 because her instructor told her to. If she would have went with her gut this could have been a reasonable experience. Regardless, I refused to pay for my colour. Honestly, that red haired instructor should be fired for treating students and clients so poorly. Don’t go here trying to save money. Every other client who was at the salon was complaining about other things as well. Just go get it done by a professional.

I bought 9 facials through Groupon for this school. I only wanted the 3 ultrasound facials and booked all 3 appointments at once. The first appointment went very well and the supervisor was in and out and warned the student not to do microdermabrasion because of my ethnicity. At the second appointment, the student tried to convince me to do microdermabrasion which was one on the list of facials I bought. I told her no and the supervisor came in and stated that I was not to have that. The student then convinced me to do a chemical peel at my next appointment as I was paying for 9 facials and only getting 3 or 4. She stated that it would refresh my skin. (I must mention that I regularly go to a very good esthetician but decided to go to the Canadian Beauty College as it was close to where I work which is an hour from my esthetician. As well, I was looking for a place to send my daughter who lives near the CBC.) At the third appointment, the student forgot to do the ultrasound facial and started on the peel. My ultrasound facial was then scheduled for mid September. My skin was burning badly and I let her know. She said it was normal. After the session, my skin was very red and the student told me that it would be that way for a couple of days. A week went by before the burning stopped and I was left with red blotches on my skin. Not only red but I had scabs!!! I was unable to get back to CBC as I had emergency family business out west. When I went in for the ultrasound facial, I told the student that the peel had burnt my skin badly and redness remained. The student tried to sell me an I.P. Facial which cost $199.00. I was floored. I spoke to the school and they said they were sorry but did not offer any resolution. DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL. I spent tons getting my skin in great condition with a professional esthetician and only went there for ultra sound facials. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO THOUGHTS ON DESTROYING ONE'S SKIN. THIS IS A MONEY GRAB! They also mentioned to not go through Groupon cause they had to pay Groupon half and would give the same deal. Unethical and unprofessional!!! BEWARE!!!

At the Canadian Beauty College (Vaughan Campus), Sandra was very helpful. Her positive attitude made me feel very welcomed in a new and unfamiliar campus. She answered so many of my questions, and made the entire process from enrolment to classes very easy. I had a couple of issues with my scheduling, but Sandra assisted me and solved all my problems very quickly. Sandra is AMAZING!

I did my certificate course with Ninozka and my diploma with Sandra. They are both masters of their field. So patient and eager to teach and tolerant of students wanting to learn. It was honestly the best time of my life learning from them and going to class and being in that environment. I highly recommend going to their campus because they don’t just do the basic and send you off they are always there for you even after the program ends. If you want or seek their advice after graduating they will always be there for you. The knowledge you gain from them will be beneficial to you in many ways. Their program is wholesome and extremely detailed. I absolutely love the teachers I have had and they are a part of my life to this very day. Ninozka is so energetic and joyful and such a total delight to learn from. She’s passionate about teaching makeup and she has great knowledge to share.

I first want to start by saying that if you have had a negative experience, write about it like an adult. Don't write about it like a child that has had her candy bar taken away from her. Be an adult, and be respectful. On to more positive things. I just finished this course and it was fantastic. Stefania, the instructor is a fountain of information. She is positive, upbeat, supportive and encouraging. I learned so much and thanks to her tutelage, I now work in the beauty industry and I LOVE it. The makeup used in class is about 90% Make Up For Ever (the kits we have the option to purchase though are 100% MUFE). The reason there is "no name" products (which as still very good quality) is because SOME students are abusive of them. Taking handfuls when only a pea size is needed. Scraping out half of the aqua liner when they only need a tiny bit. How can one expect a school to function when some of the students don't even care? The disrespect that I witnessed of both the products AND the teachers astounded me. I loved this course and I adore Stef. The rest of the staff that I had the pleasure of meeting were also great and always interested in the work that the students do. Sandra specifically stuck out as well, another MUA teacher, she would check in, say hi and always had tips. I received much more education than I anticipated and I had a great time while doing so. Thank you Stef and Canadian Beauty College for the wonderful experience and preparing me for the Makeup industry. -Becka

I am currently a student at the Vaughan campus taking the laser technician program. I had Carmen for skin care 1 and 2 and she was an amazing teacher! She helped me with my own skin a lot as well as taught me how to treat all other types. I’m in the laser part of the program now and although it’s more challenging K.O is great when it comes to learning what we need in real day to day situations. i just graduated from canadian beauty college and i would just like to start off by saying this was one of the best schools i have ever attended, overall everything and everyone was absolutely fantastic. i was always so excited to wake up and come to school and see all my teachers and the new friends i have made. i was put with nilla petta as a teacher and i absolutely love the way she teaches. she is always uplifting, fun, interesting and extremely knowledgeable. there wasent a class that went by that i was bored or discouraged about the theory that we were learning. Nilla is extremely knowledgeable about what she is teaching and she makes everything that we are learning about very easy going and easy to learn and retain the knowledge. micheala was our clinical teacher and i have only good things to say, her energy is always so uplifting and she always has a smile on her face, michaela is always there for everyone helping us out all the time and always looking over to make sure we are doing everything right and she is always attending to everyone and making sure everything goes smoothly, she is always there for everyone no matter what she is doing, she puts everyone before herself and i will always look up to her with the way she treats us, she makes me want to become a better person myself . sandra and marilu are one of the best managers i have ever seen. they are always on top of their stuff and all the students, very respectful and easy going and always keeping me up on my toes giving me the motivation to do more in life and always giving me tips and advice to help me elevate in life. overall this school has been an absolute blessing to me and if i could i would retake the whole course to be with these beautiful people again i would do it in a heartbeat. this school has become a part of my family and i wouldn’t trade it for the world, i would 10000% recommend this school for anyone who is interested in having a good time while obtaining so much knowledge for your future as a medical aesthetician. thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my experience here the best i have ever had, i will miss everyone here very dearly and they will always have a special place in my heart.

Our instructor, Ninozka, is absolutely amazing! She is such an awesome makeup artist and person. She genuinely believes in you and wants to see you succeed. Ninozka provides her students with in depth knowledge from her own experiences in the field, emphasis on professionalism, the importance of sanitization/cleanliness and best business practices. We went through different make up looks, colour matching, tools, products and much more. Through all of the learning we did Ninozka instructed in a way that made it fun and memorable! We also had ample time for in class practice application on our peers which helped build lots of confidence in a supportive space. back in March 2019 I went to CBC(Vaughan Campus) to get some information on their Laser Technician program and the school coordinator Triana was extremely helpful and detailed about the Diploma program and what it entailed that I decided to follow through and sign up for the course. All the teachers in the school were helpful and I can say that I did learn a lot in this program. You do get a lot of hands on experience during your practical hours, and if you needed more the teachers -specifically Kalia allowed us to bring in more models in the evening and practice more which was great. I did go on Saturdays to learn additional treatments with Nadia who was so helpful and fun to work with. Overall good experience!

She made it a fun environment to work and learn in, she was able to make the curriculum engaging and interesting. She was really good at teaching both hands on and theoretically. I was able to apply my knowledge easily when it came to working on clients. I was lucky to have her as an instructor. When it came to completing my clinical hours, I worked with Nadia. She was very patient when it came to showing us how to properly work with clients and always maintained a fun yet professional work environment. For the past four (4) years I have been going to the CBC Newmarket Campus knowing that there was the Vaughan Campus and not thinking to try it out. Foolish me. I just got home from a great facial done by a graduating student. I loved the treatment so much have now booked a whole bunch of facials for 2020. The only pitfall is parking through the week as the university students grab the parking spaces which is so unfortunate for this establishment.

Where do I even begin to describe my experience here at Canadian Beauty College Vaughan Campus! The support system and education team here are exceptionally attentive. I feel like the individual needs of each student is always met and always put as a priority by the staff here. Personally going back to school in my 40s and obtaining a career was not a reality due to some of life's obstacles until I met the team at CBC. Starting with my first initial phone call with Triana, I immediately felt a sense of trust and encouragement from her. Meeting her in person only heightened that sense of genuine welcome. So I decided to take a chance and enroll in their Medical Aesthetics Diploma program. I began my class with my instructor Rosemary B, who went above and beyond her role to not only ensure I was successful but that I truly could believe in myself. For half of my semester I had the opportunity to work with Stephanie K, who as an instructor really ensured her students obtained the skills we required to be successful in this industry. Amanda F and Melissa C were a huge support system for me in times I needed extra help with studying, figuring out difficult questions and being there on the rough days where giving up was easier to do. Sohir H, is another instructor here who inspires me everyday. Another critical support system for me here was the campus manager Sandra L, which I can truly say is the heart behind this entire operation. While studying I was challenged with emotion road blocks and Sandra's office was always open to me if I needed her. She always provides a positive influence, starting your day with a smile and a beautiful "Good morning!". As I am now completing my final clinical hours, I end my experience here working along side the most professional and skilled clinical staff. Marilu Z, the clinic supervisor, Nadia N and Silan S, the Medical Aestheticians have shaped me into believing in myself and to have the confidence in my own skills. I couldn't have asked for a more loving team. I am one HAPPY student that is very excited to start my new career. I would highly recommend joining the CBC team if you want to achieve the highest level quality of education.

I have been here on 2 occasions. Ine for a facial and another for highlights, cut and style. The staff and students are professional. Getting my hair done there was excellent. The hair professor, Jennifer guided the student and I felt the result was from a high end salon. It is obvious she is very knowledgable in her profession and is very good with the students. My facial was excellent also, as it was personalized for my skin. I highly reccomend here for services or anyone looking to attend this school.

A huge thanks to instructor (Miss Lisa). she is really friendly and trustable. she has the good knowledg for customer service which is so important. I never used a lot of beauty products until I was introduced to Dermalogica and makeup forever. Now I will always get my products from the College as they carry all high end brands at reasonable prices.

After taking some time off from CBC to work, I decided to go back and finish my studies in Makeup Artistry and was lucky to get a great instructor like Ninozka. She always made sure to carefully explain different techniques, sanitation, history and different paths we can pursue. Ninozka also has experience in the film industry herself so it was very helpful and insightful to hear her experiences working with different people. She helped me work on my confidence a lot more and one of the best teachers you could ask for!
