It was a very bad experience. Me and my sister went to do balayage and they ended up messing our hair. They took more than 5 hours to do the balayage and they just colours my top hair while my bottom hair is still black. They even did worst to my sister, she asked for balayage and they did something else and didn’t colour her roots. The worst was one of her student was high I guess her name Stefani and she couldn’t do a proper blow dryer. At they end they ended charging as more than $100. I don’t recommend at least they shouldn’t give client to there student unless they are sure about it. Since we go and pay and they ended destroying our hair.

Very poor management. Unprofessional. They wrote 31th on my certificate instead of 31st and when I told them I live out of town they told me they could meet up with me somewhere in Barrie because they would be there anyways. The day before, they called and said I had to meet them on the complete opposite end of town because that's where they would be. I couldn't as I have a 7 month old and the car was with my fiance. She then told me arrogantly that they werent going to deliver it to my house. I said that wasnt what I was expecting but asked why on earth she said meet up "somewhere" if she knew she would only be going to one place. I also asked for an email or something stating my final grade for my records and she told me that no one else wants their grade and that it's silly that I want it as well as my certificate, so I never recieved written proof of my final grade. They went through two management changes while I was a student there and I think the person who initially enrolled me back in the summer was very kind and professional. They honestly deserve zero stars but the one star is for the amazing teacher I had. She was nice, professional and knowledgeable. It's a shame she has to work for people like this that changed my view on this college. I was considering going back later on for other courses, but now that I've dealt with this I certainly will not be returning.

I am very happy with the wonderful service I received at the Newmarket location of Canadian Beauty College. I have found my new hair salon! I have been there for an initial consultation, a complete blonde colour correction, and pink hilites on three separate visits in the past two weeks. On each visit Maria the Instructor who has 40 years of hair experience helped guide and assist her enthusiastic students in completion of the requested services. My colour correction took almost four hours, but there wasn't one minute wasted - it was one process after another. Maria, Victoria, and Monica all worked on my hair to start and then Adrienne finished the last colour and gave me gorgeous movie star curls. The time went by quickly. I was thrilled at the end of this appointment with my new blonde hair. Next time, I went in for pink hilites done by Adrienne and she did a fantastic job. We even discussed some fun colour ideas for when this colour fades. She told me how much she was looking forward to doing my hair that day and that was really nice to hear. Adrienne once again gave me stunning curls which really last! I've been so happy with the services received here that I am going back next week to get a unique hairstyle for a special evening. Not only are they great but it's so affordable! Thank you to Maria and all her students, especially Adrienne for making the salon/college so welcoming and doing such a great job. In April, 2015, I purchased one WagJag voucher for three non-surgical facelift packages for $99 at the Newmarket location. Each package included one 60-minute Dermalogic revitalizing facial, one diamond-tip microdermabrasion treatment and one non-surgical facelift. Having never had a facial before let alone something as extravagant as this, I had no idea that these appointments needed to be spaced weeks apart. I forget now, but maybe 4 weeks apart, I can't remember. The voucher had to be used within 90 days and expired on July 9, 2015. So, unaware of this, I made my first appointment in June, I think. And my next appointment was intended for July 7th. Now, at this point, I'm aware that I won't get the third package in in time before expiry, so I'm okay with the $33 being banked toward some other aesthetic service, because I was told there would be no expiry on the banked money. Now, here comes the problem. I booked my appointment for Tuesday, July 7th for 1:00 or 2:00 :00 in the afternoon, I'm a little foggy on the time, but it was definitely around there because I know what else I was doing on the 7th. I called on the Monday the 6th, just the day before at 9:00 a.m. as soon as they opened and I booked for the 7th. Literally 2 or 3 hours later, and no later than 12 noon, I cancelled the appointment on the 7th. There was no charge by the way, because although on the WagJag voucher it says cancellation within 48 hours, the policy at the Newmarket location says on their Web site they require 24 hours' notice which they indeed received. However, for some reason, I got a call on the same day on the 6th around 4:00 confirming my appointment. And I told the girl I called and cancelled already. So, for months now, I've been under the impression that I still have $66 banked towards an aesthetic service, right? I made an appointment a few days ago for an eyelash/eyebrow tint and eyebrow wax and on the phone I informed them about my $66 balance. They said, yes, they see something to that effect and will see me for my appointment. I go in for my appointment and they tell me I have $33 not $66 because that July 7th appointment I was a "no-show". I explained to the technician who greeted me (and she was the same technician/aesthetician who did my one and only non-surgical facelift package that I had) what had happened on the day of July 6th regarding that appointment on the 7th and that I had indeed cancelled before the 24 hour time frame. And she kept referring to this "note" in my file that I was a no-show. And I insisted that in my entire 40 adult years (I'm 55) I have never, ever been a no-show and I was very insulted. She got the manager, and the manager said I was not a no-show and that I had, in fact, called late afternoon on the 6th and therefore not within the 24 hours required. I again explained what happened on the 6th. She again read this note which you would think was God's word. I again pleaded and explained profusely the note was incorrect. She took her index finger, for the umpteenth time, and again read this precious note to me. I again explained profusely. Well, this went back and forth far too many times and it was getting childish. It could not have been more evident to me that this manager was not ever going to give me the benefit of the doubt and reinstate my $33. Unbelieveable! And although I still could have kept my appointment and used $33 still remaining out of the $66, well, really, would you? After what had just happened? I had a sick feeling in my stomach and a very bitter taste in my mouth, and I definitely would not have trusted any service I would have received. Whatever happened to giving the customer the benefit of the doubt? I'm astounded by the lengthy back-and-forth banter over $33. I will be in touch with Wag Jag on Monday to see what I can do about a refund of the entire $66.

I attended the College last Friday and received an excellent level of service. My "student" was professional in her approach; she explained each procedure and had all the answers. My skin was absolutely glowing afterwards and the bonus was that I looked at least 10 years younger !The staff was friendly and polite, the facilities were very clean. I chose the Canadian Beauty College for a full-day of birthday services when other spas could not accommodate me. I'm glad I did! As a previous dental student, I know that students really do need the experience for their future careers. I personally think they do a better job as they are eager and wanting to provide amazing service. I have never been disappointed and I have had facials, massages, laser hair removal, and soon I am starting fractional. I have received treatments from both the students and the professionals and I am satisfied either way! They definitely go the extra mile and use great products that have never irritated my sensitive skin. You not only get great service but the pricing is amazing as well. I often like to try out their monthly promos when I want to try a new service and, again, so far I have not been disappointed. Give it a try, you won't be either! :)

I have had many treatments over the past 2 years at this establishment I always have had a great experience with both students and the professionals. This is why I return year after year. I am in the area once again for 3 months and called to see the specials they offered. This is when I was first introduced to Angel who had answered the phone. This lady I will never forget! Angel is professional,knowledgeable , patient as I had a lot of questions to ask about the treatment I was selecting. I loved her enthusiasm explaining the different treatments that were available and her confidence in helping me decide what procedures to start with in order to get the best results. Ofcouse I booked and went yesterday to have my microdermabrasion plus ultrasound a new treatment for me. Jessie was the lady selected to administer this treatment and once again I can say a great experience. There is alot involved in booking a face treatment and giving a facial treatment and both theses ladies delivered 100% .
