I'm one of those people who has a love hate relationship with hairdressers... And it can take me years to recover from a bad experience at the receiving end of a pair of scissors. Today I decided four years of trying to trim, shape, colour and curl all by myself has been four years too long, so I ventured forth and presented myself (and my mess of hair) to Shaun at Bay Hair Design & Beauty... Two hours later I walked out of the salon with the most gorgeous head of hair - exactly the shade of red I've been trying to achieve for sooooo long. Everything was just perfect - everyone at the salon was helpful, kind, "fun" and professional... I love my new hair and the process itself was entirely magical... Self-care hasn't felt this good in years. Thanks to Shaun and the team...

It would be zero stars if that was an option. My first time getting my eyebrows done here was great! I went back today and had Ritu who i hadn't had last time and she has completely butchered my eyebrows! she has taken a centimeter off the end of my left eyebrow and left patches in the top of my right eyebrow, they are completely different shapes and sizes and have NEVER looked worse. I am angry and upset and will never be returning to bay hair design and beauty.

Got my hair done by Amanda. She did such an amazing job, she took her time doing my hair. This was my first time coming here and honestly the environment is so calm and clean. The staff are lovely, they made me feel so comfortable while I was having my hair cut. Would definitely recommend and I'd definitely come back here again!! ????????

Beauty staff is great, hair dresser is not so good, booked an appointment since I have been going to beauty staff regularly. felt completely bullied by hair dresser. instead of suggesting me what I should be doing with my hair she was asking me and it felt like she was attacking me rather than helping me. all in all she wanted me to cancel my appointment. felt very racist behaviour so if you are other than kiwi race. you won't be treated good at least by hair dressing staff.
