If you want to pay $50+ on a wash and a wash and terrible trim this is the place to go! My hair is uneven, and looks terrible! It took the person 5 minutes to cut my hair and they did a horrible job.

The best salon ever!! I moved to Niagara Falls from Toronto recently, and not knowing any one here, I was very apprehensive to have my hair cut and coloured by someone that I did not have a referral from. From the moment that I walked through the door, Studio 55 felt like "home". Owner John, did both my cut and foils and it turned out incredible. He is an extremely talented artist who listens to what you want and offers suggestions and options too. Studio 55 is very warm and welcoming, as well as a beautiful location. It's so comforting to know that I have found the ideal hair salon . I would highly recommend Studio 55 in a heartbeat.

The salon was clean, friendly, and sophisticated looking and all of the hairdressers seem to know what they were doing. Very proffessional. I had an appointment with John, who I believe is the owner of the salon. So I have to give some background on my hair. I have very thin hair. But I've had very good hair cuts and left salons feeling great about myself after a great cut. I sat in John's chair and he proceeded to ask me if I have considered laser hair transplants. I honestly haven't .. so that made me feel a bit sad to be honest. Then he was asking me.. what length would you like, what products would you like me to use. No direction.... No encouragement besides telling me to get invasive laser surgery. Ok besides this... The cut was just.... Sub par. I came home and cut my own hair and did a fringe on my own bangs. There was no shape or style to my hair at all. No one noticed that I had a hair cut. I've had cuts where I walked out feeling like a million bucks. This wasn't one of them. I will be cutting my own hair from now on. I am not here to hurt any one... Just share my experience and what I feel was sub par service for the money. Thanks.

I have been looking for a great hair salon to take care of my long hair. I tried studio 55 today and was extremely happy with this choice. Wanda was not only a fantastic hairdresser but she is very knowledgeable about hair care. She offered me tips and products to take care of my long hair, prevent breakage/split ends, and ensure it grows longer in the years to come. I am very excited to return for my next appointment which I booked before leaving. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable hair salon.

I'm from Toronto, but the drive is ALWAYS worth it to see Anthony, whom I followed from another salon. His colour work, and hair care knowledge is incredible. He's remarkably attentive as well during consultations, and during processing, always checking in to make sure I'm alright! The salon itself is beautiful. Every area is always impeccably clean, and styling room has such large windows, it's always so bright and you can really get a true look at your hair in natural light before you leave. The staff is so friendly, and always smiling, and I always feel welcomed.

In an effort to summarize: At the end of November, I went to Studio 55 for a change in my hair colour after dying my hair dark for years. I was told in the consultation it would take two appointments: the first to bleach me to a level 10, and the next appointment to put in the grey. I was told the first appointment would consist of two bleachings, Olaplex, and toning. You will see from the photo that I was definitely not left with level 10 blonde, and that the condition of my hair was severely compromised. My once soft, healthy hair was brittle and severely damaged and I was devastated. In the days following the bleaching appointment, I lost a lot of hair (most of my length was compromised, and the hair down the back of my head was pulp due to the second bleaching process, where the stylist did not use foils and instead applied bleach on my hair, and then twisted it all into a French roll down the back of my head and then pressed on one piece of foil on top for it to cook from the heat of my scalp), and was forced to wear a toque whenever I went out of the house. I was urged by my husband to consult with three different well known stylists in the region. The comments from all three were exact: 1) to get silver, you need level 10 blonde which was 100% impossible with my hair and that I should have been told that, 2) there was no way any Olaplex was used because otherwise my hair wouldn’t have been in that condition, 3) the second bleaching process was done incorrectly and foils should have been used, 4) the toning was done incorrectly, hence why I left with orange hair, 5) the bleach was not properly rinsed out of my hair, hence why my scalp was inflamed and the skin was peeling off my finger tips (from touching my scalp), and finally 6) that in no way should it have cost me over $300. I sent an email to the owner John about the misrepresentation and it was met with total disregard and false claims of fabricated conversations (which means now any communication must be in writing). So because a hair salon was willing to destroy my hair right before Christmas simply to get some business/money in the door, I am left spending hundreds trying to fix the devastation I was left with. What makes it even worse is that I could have achieved a similar result, minus the severe damage, by bleaching at home for $30. I should have been permitted to make an informed decision with accurate information and expectations. That was not afforded to me, however. If I had been informed the way I should have, I never would have gone forward with that first appointment, because whereas I didn’t have beautiful SILVER hair, I still had beautiful hair. This is not subjective – anyone in my position, had they been provided truthful information about the outcome, would not have gone forward with the service. Photos accompany my review for anyone who is interested in seeing. FYI: Misrepresentation (falsely claiming a service can be accomplished when it cannot) is against the law and is a fineable offence. The Ministry of Consumer Services will investigate and can order fines in these cases, so please do not let a salon do to you what Studio 55 did to me. *****In response to the owners reply to my review: go check the review thread on their Facebook page. Lots of trickery unveiled there. And FYI, leaving a bad review about a NAIL salon does not make me a problem, nor does believing Anthony when he said he could give me silver hair. Having all your friends leave 5-star reviews after I posted mine doesn’t reverse the fact that you ruined my hair. It doesn’t eliminate the devastation. I just pray to God that others see through the fake reviews and see that mistakes are never resolved, admitted to, or apologized for. The customer is always the “problem” when it comes to Studio 55.

In the beginning the experience was good and I felt that things were going to work out. After a short while of communication I started to realize this was not in the cards for me. A person named "Brian" NEVER got my name correctly, which was very insulting being that I was the bride booking for a bridal party. I had different quotes for prices and while calculating totals, there were errors (more than one), that I caught upon review. When I addressed the errors in a email, I never heard back from the company regarding my booking. I consider this very unprofessional, and it says to me that my business did not matter! The emails I received were not professional in nature in the least bit, which was shocking considering the prior reviews I had read. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it was hurtful that I was treated in this regard and that being that I was trying to book for something special, the experience with them was ruined, but thankfully I did not book with them and found another amazing place to book!

Worst experience ever schedule a flat Iron appointment and then changed my mind to have curls . Had the curls put in and fell within 20 mins and went back and was told that how is curls are . Just went to Studio 55 for the first time. My hair was a mess. Frizzy, thick and unmanageable. I had Wanda and she did a fantastic job! At other salons it usually took over an hour just to blow dry my hair but Wanda did a great wash and had my hair looking smooth and beautiful in under 45 minutes.

Terrible Services. Lack of client respect. My daughter's birthday present was to get highlights like the photo #1. I paid almost $200 without excitation because I was expecting great results. As you may see in photo #2 that what she got. I spoke with the manager and with the hairstylist and their answer was that I need to pay an extra $140. This is unbelievable. What a great way to lose clients and built a very bad reputation.
