I absolutely love this place! The ladies are amazing!! They listen to my concerns and manage to make my terrible explanation of what I thought I wanted, into a gorgeous hairdo, perfectly suited to my level of maintenance. I will probably go for a color change soon. The waxing salon is amazing and affordable - very comfortable to go here! Would recommend this to anyone, hands down!!

In a good way.....I do wish they could have a karaoke stage to provide entertainment, and most people end up singing along to the music eventually, so it just makes sense....

I highly recommend Studio 66! I have been in New West for two years and after trying various salons for my hair and nails, I was delighted to discover Studio 66. The salon is my go-to place to get my hair cut and coloured and my nails done. The vibe is upbeat, warm and friendly, and the salon is really clean. The stylists and nail technicians are experienced and professional and they instill confidence. Leanne is my super talented hairdresser. I walk out of the salon each time all happy with a bounce in my step because my hair is all bouncy and shiny from a great cut and colour. One time I couldn't get an appointment with Leanne as she was booked, so Viv did my hair. Another great stylist!! My hair looked, and felt, amazing. While I'm there, I see the work that the junior stylists are doing and how happy their clients are when they leave, so to be honest, I feel confident about recommending them as well. For my nails, Amanda is seriously the best nail technician around. I get the gels and like to mix it up with either solid colour, a glitter fade that Amanda introduced me to (Yah Glitter! Super fun :) or a French manicure (You haven't had a French manicure until you've had Amanda give you a French Manicure.) Enjoy!!

I've been going to Studio 66 for more than 3 years and have always had exceptional services. I've had gel/acrylic nails for more than 10 years and Amanda is the most professional, knowledgable, and creative tech I've ever had. Her pedi's are also amazing. Viv does my hair and streaks and is a master stylist on all account. Leanne, the owner, is fantastic and runs a friendly and professional shop. You get what you pay for here. Highly recommend the services.

I got a Brazilian wax done here and it was a huge mistake. There's a clear reason my usual place was booked far in advance and this place had openings. I came out of the wax bruised which I discovered when I got home, and spots were still painful 2 days later. The technique and body positioning were poor and led to some spots being done multiple times which is probably why I was in so much pain for such a long time (this wasn't my first wax and I don't have an especially low pain tolerance). Savvy Wax Lounge is just up the street and well worth the wait.

UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! Can I give zero stars?? I went to get my brows waxed because my usual esthetician, at Savvy Wax Lounge (RECOMMEND!!), was all booked and I had a function that night. I am usually very particular with my brows and I like to have them thick and identical to each other. So, I always ask to have them outlined before they wax so i can see how they look. When I asked this Asian lady, she looked like she was in a huge rush and told me she didn't have anything like a pencil. RED FLAG. I told her numerous times to keep it thick and EVEN on both sides. It seemed like she was just slapping on wax wherever. when she handed me the mirror, my eyebrows were thinner than they'd ever been!! And a whole chunk of my left eyebrow was gone!!!! One was a different shape than the other. When I asked her why she did that, SHE BLAMED ME AND SAID MY EYEBROWS ARE JUST LIKE THAT!!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL. DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE. I paid and walked out very upset. Skip this place, go somewhere where they will listen to what you want. Savvy is up the street.

Had an amazing experience with Briana! She understood perfectly what I wanted done with my hair and was super informative about the whole process and my future hair goals. I was a bit worried that my hair would be difficult to work with but it was no problem for her. She gave me options whenever she could, and worked quickly and efficiently to get me out of the salon in time as I had to be somewhere. I'm in love with the result! It's exactly what I was envisioning. She is super friendly and funny and will be my go-to stylist for as long as I live in New West!

I've had bleached hair for a bit over a year but I've been getting pretty significant breakage at the back of my head so I decided to go back darker to try to nurse my hair back to health...haha. My stylist today was Viv and she was absolutely amazing at working with me and taking the time to thoroughly explain different options that I could choose from. She really works with you to get the best result possible and I walked out today with a really nice brown hair colour that turned out much better than I would have ever imagined for a very fair price. Viv does magic! Today was my first time here, and I can tell the staff here are friendly and lovely. Thank you Viv and Studio 66, I will be back ????

Such a welcoming environment, the ladies at Studio 66 are all so friendly. I’ve been seeing Amanda for shellac manicures for a year now and I am always, without fail, 100% satisfied. She really is a fantastic nail technician and will take the time to educate and answer all question you have about nail care and products. I've been coming to Amanda at Studio 66 for a couple of years to get my nails done and I love the work she does. Amanda always does an amazing job and is very precise. I am a bit OCD about my nails and I've never had an issue with anything. I also get my hair cut/styled by Brianna who does great work as well. Brianna is patient with my lack of care for my hair sometimes and always has suggestions to help me maintain it. The salon is also quite clean and stylish and the employees and atmosphere are great. I always feel welcome there! I recommend Amanda for Aesthetics and Brianna for hair! Both great employees!

The atmosphere in the salon is one of warmth and there is always laughter and smiles from everyone. You cannot get better bang for your buck and have fun while at it. This was my first time here. I found briana off of her Instagram page and my expectations were definitely exceeded! I have never dyed my hair before and have always been hesitant about how it would turn out. I showed briana only a couple of photos and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted. One of the best salons in the new west/Burnaby area. Always very clean, and welcoming. My nail tech here is Amanda, she is the best I’ve ever had. I get shellac manicures from her bi weekly. She does a perfect application, and precise job every time! Best part is she takes her time and doesn’t just slap on your polish to stay on schedule like most places. Also she uses the highest quality products even for the removal. I recently booked for her a Brazilian as well so if you’re wanting the most painless, accurate wax you’ll ever have then ask for Amanda. She does a excellent job, is always on top of latest trends/techniques and is just very pleasant to be around. All in all this is for sure a one stop shop salon! Great nails great waxing. The owner is very nice and makes you feel very well taken care of. All staff is knowledgeable and friendly. You’ll feel like you’ve been going to this salon for years on your first visit.

This was my first time at studio 66, and will definitely not be the last. I went for a haircut and manicure. My hair stylist was Brianna and she was great at understanding what I wanted done. She also provided suggestions that were great and improved the overall look in the end. I love how my hair looks now! As for the nails, Caitey was who did a wonderful job at that as well. She was also great at shaping my eyebrows. Overall an excellent experience, loved the place and the people. Will be going back :)

Love Studio 66! I've been getting both manicures and pedicures from Amanda and hair styling from Vivian for ages. Everyone in the salon is so friendly, meticulous and the price is right. If you want acrylic nails done right, see Amanda. Amanda keeps my natural nails healthy and is great at nail art too, so I get a ton of compliments. I go at least every second Saturday because it is always so much fun to hang out while getting amazing nails and pretty hair.

If I could give this less than 1 star I WOULD. MORGAN is the LEAST professional and least put together person I’ve EVER met at a hair salon. If you’re gonna work at a salon at least know how to do your own hair. She did not know ANYTHING about my curls or how to maintain. She was extremely bad at the consult which should’ve been my first red flag, she didn’t understand what I wanted done to my hair at all, but I’m a trusting person so I gave this young lady a chance. Mistakes. Were. Made. I hope you can replace her with someone more knowledgeable in general and in curly hair. I did NOT ask for this mullet looking hair. ????

Leanne was patient in helping her pick out exactly the right custom-mixed colour and also cutting/styling her hair just in time for back-to-school. Saleena LOVES her hair!! First time here, and Amanda did a great job with shellac on my short nails. Unlike most places I've been to she was really meticulous with making sure my cuticles were cleaned up properly and that the shellac was applied evenly, as close to the cuticles as possible which I like because it extends the amount of time I'll be able to wear this color before the grow out gap is noticeable. The studio was clean and all of the staff were genuinely friendly. Highly recommended!
