Top shelf barber! With the increase of these “modern” barber shops popping up it is a breath of fresh air to find the real deal. I recommend this place highly and will continue to go there but the cherry on top was the cut was $12!

I really have no idea whether all the 5 star reviews here are fakes, paid for, or genuine experiences, but take this as a warning - DO NOT trust this guy with your hair. I saw him today, the shop was nice, little museum section, nice seating area, seemed to have regular clientele, so I decided to give it a shot. I do not have hard hair to work with, I asked for a basic cut in side parting, with a #2 fade. This barber cuts your hair so you're facing away from the mirror, so you can't really tell what he's doing until he hands you the handheld mirror at the end of the haircut. When he did that, I right away noticed how uneven the haircut was on both sides of the parting. Not surprising considering how he used clippers and a comb the whole time. When I asked him to fix that he actually made it worse by digging his clippers further in and making it more uneven. Eventually I told him to leave it alone, and had to go to another barber shop (Gem on 6th St) who fixed it up for me. Amazingly enough the worst thing about this was not the actual botched haircut, but the fact that this barber said barely 10 words the whole interaction, and then proceeded to charge me for the cut. No effort to talk about what went wrong (even though I was visibly upset), no apology, nothing. I'm not asking for small talk, but if you're unable to have a conversation with a client, you're in the wrong business. To sum up: Nice shop The shoulder massage is a nice touch ZERO attention to detail and a total lack of basic skills as a barber ZERO ability to have a conversation with a client Cheap haircut You've been warned.

Called in to get my son's hair cut ages 3 and 7. Told me they could do 7 year old but not 3. He said going to a hair salon would be better for the 3 year old because they have more patience. So you're telling me that the barbers at 12st barbers have NO Patince to cut a 3 years old hair ? I even explained my son has been cutting his hair since 1 and he sits still and doesn't cry . He still said no. I have been to diffrent barbers with my kids and I have never heard of this in my life . They should be about to have barbers to do all ages . Guess I won't be every going there.

Amazing place. I have been going to this place all my life, its the only barber who actually cares about peoples hair. My dad has been going to this place for about 15-20 years. I really love this place. 1 year later and I realized that he is NOT actually a good barber, my hair has consistently been butchered by him who seemingly doesn't know how to style hair. Don't go to him, he's just gotten worse.

Excellent cut, non-rushed service. Vacuum, massage—a proper barbershop. Enjoyed the atmosphere, he's got something of a barbershop museum there with cool old barbershop stuff in cases. Cannot recommend enough.

Clean shop and a good experience. The barber was professional, quick, and experienced. The rates are great and a light massage is included. Barber didn't converse too much which was great for me as I do not like small talk that usually comes with a haircut experience. Overall, I loved the experience and will be going back regularly.

1) My hair is blond/thin and lots of people have trouble cuting it properly. The guy did a good job on cuting my hair for the first time. 2) Once he started he didnt say one word, for me this is a +. 3) He did lots of jumping around and looked like he was really trying and made it a fun experience, also a +. 4) The price was $12...a bargain imo, also a + and gives you more tiping power. * Overall very satisfied.

Haircut is good and mostly he used cut my hair using trimmer rather scissors (I like cut my hair using scissors). He is very professional and quick. Only my concern is he won't clean the hair after cutting others from floor but he cleans the chair. As a customer I am really bothered about this and reduced 2 stars. But I recommend to others as the price is cheap 14$ for both kids and men.

Old town hospitality and old time prices. Most of the time the barber gives you a back massage as well. Keeps a coin jar up front for those who need to feed the parking meter on the street.
