This was my horrible first impression of Hairacy's.
I made an appointment for a trim to rid me of my dead ends, no layering.
My appointment was at 7 but I was brought back at 7:15, and rushed out for 7:30.
I have never not been asked if I wanted a shampoo/cut/style (I just assumed that was what I was paying for, but I guess not), so she cut my hair while dry. Mind you, I have naturally very wavy/curly hair, and it had been in a bun when I went in, and she brushed it so it was a poofy/frizzy disaster. She cut it dry when my hair was extremely uneven, and it showed. It looks like my hair was severed with a butcher knife.
Then, she charged me for the full shampoo/cut/style, which was $55 before tax. Thankfully I talked to their lovely receptionist, Laura, and she refunded me some money to make the charge $35 for a botched dry trim.
I talked to Jason, the owner, and he did not even ask to see my hair, and said he stands behind his stylists and that she could have just had a rough day. To me, this is not a valid excuse for a professional hair salon. He offered for me to go back in for it to be fixed, but to even out my hair, I would have ridiculously short hair, so I decided to just deal with it. Instead he left me a leave-in conditioner spray worth $27.
So they made up for most of the money, but not for the horrible experience.
She did cut my undercut just fine, but it's pretty hard to screw that up, as my friend with no hair experience usually buzzes that for me.
Her "style" at the end was literally just braiding my hair (pictured).
Maybe other stylists at Hairacy's are good at their job (I won't be going back to find out), but Heather was my stylist and I do NOT recommend her, especially since she "specializes" in curly hair.
See photos for this horrendous trim.
