I had a really good experience here. I came in with bleach blonde hair (done at home) and mad roots, and came out with a beautiful blended blonde that's darker at the roots and works with my complexion. Definitely not the most cost conscious option out there, but they sure know what they're doing and I feel like it's worth it. I'll be going back.

The stylists are incredibly talented, extremely knowledgeable and always ahead of the trends; their products are nothing short of fantastic; they nailed the entire salon experience from start to finish; and when I walk in, I feel like I'm part of the family. Oh, and if you want the best colour of your life, this is the place to go! I recommend Village on a weekly basis and have even converted a New Yorker to travel to this fine establishment for her hair. Nothing but great things to say about this place. Excellent energy. I've been a customer here for 5+ years. I wanted to try something different from the usual buzz head hair cut and then found Hair Village Studio. Still coming in even that I had moved to Toronto. The experience is something not to pass on, even though there's other great places as we all know but it becomes more of a nice set of friendly and family kind of feelings once you're in it for a period of time. Haven't ever been dissapointed leaving the place, I've always asked if needed for something to be slightly adjusted and working with the hairdresser will make your visit a lot more satisfying. Wanted to get hair extensions for the longest time and today I finally did it. All thanks to Heather who, did a mix of tape and hot fusion. I also got my hair colored as well and I am absolutely in love. Got 18inch because I didn’t want to go too long and they were perfect and they feel amazing. Heather and everyone else in the salon was so sweet and welcoming. I enjoyed every second of it. Though, the whole process was definitely faster than I thought and I could not have asked for a better hairstylist. She made it blend so effortlessly were I can style it up and not have to worry. Before coming to this studio, I got my hair coloured and the colour turned out way off than what I wanted. It was like a honey/brassy colour and it didn’t match me at all. I wish I had known about this place sooner!! I absolutely love Cindy(owner)She made me feel so comfortable and at ease with my surroundings. I think we spoke for almost half an hour on my concerns and what I could do. She definitely knows her hair anatomy and it definitely shows when she was explaining to me my problem areas. Not once did she say to buy products from her or tell me that this is the only solution. She was very proactive with the recommendations and that is a plus in my books. On June 30th, I had my first mani/pedi in many many months it was a gentle reminder of the wonderful nail services that Andy provides. It is always such a pleasure, his one person spa is nicely furnished the layout and the cleanliness ensures ones safety while making it a more intimate experience during these rather unique times. You enter his spa by the back door of the salon coming only in contact with Andy who happily welcomes you at the door. If you are looking for quality nail service, in a safe environment I would highly recommend you visit Andy. Fortunately for me he was recommended by a neighbour many years ago and he may well be one of the best kept secrets in Streetsville. I highly recommend you pamper yourself and go visit him!

They went through every single detail with me on the extension process, quote, maintenance, color, absolutely everything. So I went ahead to book the appointment. Once I got the extensions put in by Heather (who is phenomenal) the transformation was crazy. This amazing hair looks seamlessly natural and boosted my confidence 10000%. The staff, the service, the professionalism & the talent is all here. If you need extensions this is definitely the place to go. Thanks to Maya for giving me a cute little makeover, during the pandemic I had bleached my hair and due to that reason my hair had a lot of brassiness. Maya not only toned it perfectly for me, but styled my hair just the way I like it. I was the last customer but she did not rush me at all. Here are before, after pics and my hair in natural waves after I showered. The salon is neat and clean, soothing smells and amazing shampoo/cleaning products. I usually have flaky scalp but the products used in my hair didn’t cause any build up and no more flaky scalp!! Highly recommend this place!

I walked into the salon a boxed dye red which didn't suit my skin tone or personality. I had a complimentary consultation with Brandon where he did a test strip before I actually came in for my appointment and explained all the steps needed to give me the transformation I was looking for. My hair was very damaged from highlights and did not look good. She fixed it by changing the colour and cutting my dry ends. Everyone was just so wonderful and kind and accomodating. I went in for the first time and Brandy did my hair. I asked for a cut/style with layers and bangs and I cannot say that anyone has ever done as good a job with my hair as she did! She uses a razor to get the ends even and her technique was something else! The layers blended so naturally and my hair honestly never looked better. She even finished my hair off with some beautiful beach waves that made me ready for an evening out. I recently had my hair colour done with Heather. I walked into this salon not having read any reviews or done my research. I’m always trying new hairstylists. When I walked in here on a snowy Thursday night, I took off my hood and was greeted by the most lovely ladies. They were generous with their advice on how to take care of my long curls, and they took a great interest in wanting to meet my needs. I was impressed with Heather in particular as she described how she was going to bring my dull blond highlighted curls to life. I made an appointment for the following Friday. I was skeptical as usual but she went over her vision, went to the back and mixed the colour and told me the total cost before moving forward. I was appreciative of that because I hate being surprised at the end. She was confident from the beginning that I would love my hair. She put on the colour, washed it and taught me how to take care of my curls. I walked out of that salon with my best curls yet! I went to village hair studio my first time in September and got my hair cut by Brandon. Hands down one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Everyone at the salon was friendly and welcoming. Moreover I had not made an appointment and they had no problem accomodating me which i thought was very generous of them. Tried this place for the first time, and Heather's blow out, blew me away. She was kind, knowledgeable and definitely skilled. She used a blow dryer and a brush and worked her magic to give me luxurious curls, bounce and volume. Total glam look! This review is being posted 3 days later and my hair looks just as good. I am impressed and recommend everyone gives Heather a visit! Only reason I have it a four stars is the price I was quoted over the phone when making my appointment, was not what I was actually charged :(.

Amazing Salon! I had never visited a hair salon before... and was searching on Google for " the best salon in the gta". The first 5 star salon that popped up was this one! I read the review's followed thier facebook page and saw that they did great work on peoples hair. I went in for a consultation, and had a total of 2 sessions done. I am in love with the result! It was well worth the money, time and effort. Shanessa put alot of effort and time to get me to my desired hair, and it was much appreciated! The employees are friendly and always ask if you need anything etc. This will be my goto salon from here on out. He also kept a lot of the length for the cut which I appreciated lol. We did a smudged root (his idea) so the maintenance would be more manageable. Prior to my visit on Saturday, I hadn’t been to Village in over 10 years (no rhyme or reason - just started doing my own hair) I needed a serious change though and decided to go back. I went in for a consultation with Shanessa and Cindy. They were both very helpful and honest with helping me choose my new colour and style! (Side note - I’ve always reacted to hair dye. My head gets extremely itchy. I mentioned that to them both) I booked my appointment with Shanessa. The day before I got a call from Cindy saying that she had pulled my notes from years ago and since I’ve always had a reaction that they didn’t want to mess around with that. So they decided to change my original hair plan and to go with something different I found that very honest and amazing of them, that they went through everything and thought of my well-being before proceeding. When I got there on Saturday both cindy and Shanessa discussed my options with me. I’m absolutely in love with my hair! Shanessa did an amazing job! She made me feel confident and great about the change! She’s so kind and did a wicked job! I’ve already received so many compliments!!! I also want to mention that, I had two or three separate stylists come and ask how my head was feeling. That just shows how well they all communicate with each other and how much they truly care about not only their own clients but all their co-workers clients too! I have been searching for a salon since my hairstylist retired. I’ve been to quite a few. I can’t say I’ve been disappointed with those salons but I’ve never been “wow’ed”. Village Hair Studio has completely changed that. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you feel pampered and you get your money’s worth. The first time I called the salon, I was in desperate need of a hair makeover. I just had a baby and had not done anything to my hair for a year. I spoke with Heather on the phone. I gave her a scatterbrained, I’m not sure what I want but here is a verbal description of what my hair looks like. With the little info I gave her she was able to ask the right questions and help me narrow down what I should do with my hair. She booked me an appointment with Brandon and said he would give me a more thorough consultation. I thought what could be more thorough than the conversation we had. I secretly wished she was available because of the great vibe I got from her on the phone. Well, I met with Brandon and he was just as informative and wonderfully professional as Heather. The more visits I have here the more I realize that all the stylists have the same professionalism. You can’t go wrong with anyone! I look forward to my visits with Brandon and always know that I’m in good hands. I give him a brief idea of what I want and let him express his creativity. He loves to give little tips and educate me on hair care as he does my hair. He also explains what he is doing as he is doing it. Brandon never disappoints! I walk out “wow’ed.” I always get compliments, even months after. The location is perfect, lots of parking spaces and nice area. Clean salon (very important to me) and recently renovated. I also know that if Brandon is not available one day (which I’ve never had an issue with) I would be happy to go to any stylist. Just from what I’ve seen, everyone is great. The salon was clean and followed all safety measures. Maya was amazing. She was cordial and warm. At every step, she enquired about my preferences and provided her suggestions. I was offered a coffee and a magazine very friendly service as well the interior is absolutely gorgeous I was getting my roots done brown to blonde I had 4 inches of regrowth which normally is very hard to do, my hair turned out absolutely flawless the exact white blonde I wanted and it feels much healthier is well definitely recommend trying out this salon and best service I've ever had! ☺️

I get my hair cut and styled by Brandy (my natural hair type is wavy/loosely curled). She is very professional and definitely an expert in her craft! I leave the salon with a huge smile on my face after every haircut. I was here this past Saturday as a new client. I was skeptical about this salon only have 5 star ratings on google, as this is extremely rare. Well all I can say is that I see why they have a 5 star and why I gave them a 5 Star. My experience was great!! I was early, as I take the bus, I was promptly greeted, asked if I wanted something to drink and confirmed my appointment. As I sat sipping on my coffee, you could tell how the business was run. Everyone was smiling, talking like old friends and catching up. Salon was spotless (including the bathroom). Although my appointment was behind about 20 minutes (not the fault of the associates working there), Heather made up for the delay in spades. I have curly hair and have not been able to find a hairdresser that understands that you cannot use bleach on my hair (it dries it out and kills it), or cut my hair without it going up 4 inches due to the curl, usually you say take 1/2 inch and they take 2 only to find out it comes up 4 inches or actually listen to any concerns you may have. I listed about 5 concerns and Heather walked me through the process step for step. This is my new salon and will continue to come to Heather for years to come. Heather even took the time to order some lunch for me from next door. They truly look after their customers. Awesome, Awesome place!!

I've been going Brandy for fabulous hair cuts and colour highlights for years. I get numerous compliments on my hair, which is quite fine, and have even had strangers come up to me asking where I get my hair cut and could I give them the salons number! I have never posted a review for anything, but I have had such wonderful hair experiences with Brandy that I had to share. I am not great about cutting and colouring my hair in a timely manner, but the haircut grows out so nicely that I can get away with it. She even convinced me to try lash extensions, which I would normally never have done as I tend to like a very natural look. But I trust her judgement and was thrilled with the results. The reviews looked amazing, I placed a call (to someone who was super friendly) and made an appointment with Brandon (unbeknownst to me at that point that he would work a miracle). I went for my appointment, and met the wonderful Brandon, who was so patient and kind with a first timer to the salon – he answered my many questions and gave me the support I needed to make such a drastic change. I CUT my hair -super short. We looked at the pile of hair on the floor and just laughed so hard. My eyes filled with tears as he added the finishing touches and I took a look at the mirror for the first time. I was speechless and felt so transformed. It was exactly what I needed. Brandon was able to help provide me with the vision that I wanted for myself and I couldn’t be more grateful. Village Hair Studio has been my "go to" place for all things to do with hair. I had an initial cosultation with Paula T (who is amazing, honest and so talented). She has been my hair stylist ever since. You come to realize not many people know how to cut hair especially thick and wavy hair. Paula has an eye for what suits you, type of hair color and style. I have been going to this studio now for almost two years and it is such a fun, warm and welcoming environment. My hair looks and feels healthy again. Thank you Paula T, I get nothing but compliments from friends and family. Btw, she is a master at ombre colouring. Also, you have to try a hair treatment product called VHS. It suppose to lock in your color and shine ... after 5 washes so far, i am impressed. I feel like i have salon hair after I wash and blow dry myself. So worth it. Thank you Paula! I went to this place solely because they had a 5 star review. I was very nervous taken I wanted something specific and I also have a lot of hair and my hair was very long. It's been two weeks and I still hate my haircut more than anything. It was like she got scissor happy which is my fear when getting haircuts. I lost at least 10 inches of hair for no reason, and it looked nothing like the picture I showed her at the beginning. What made it worse was I asked about 3 times if she could do what was in the picture and she kept saying yes. And then afterwards it was obvious I wasn't pleased with the haircut but she insisted that it looked good and that's how it was supposed to be cut for the shape of my face. It looks like a mullet. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow back and I'm not the type of person that wears makeup or anything, my hair was the only thing I had going for me. So this is a very upsetting experience.

I had eyelash extensions applied by Brandy and I was so impressed and happy with the end result. She is a true professional and takes her time to apply the individual single lashes. They were gorgeous and the amazing thing is that they lasted such a long time. I can honestly say they lasted perfectly for 4 weeks and even 6 weeks later, they were still looking good and very manageable, having just to fill in the sides with a touch of mascara. The first time I went for lash extensions, at a different salon, they were falling out after 2 weeks! If you want the job done right the first time and for them to last....don’t bother going anywhere else ...you won’t be disappointed!
