I come in from Toronto SPECIFICALLY to get my hair done with Maria! I'm a performer in the city and hair can be very crucial and I can always trust that she knows where my thought process is going if I need a change or if I want it to stay exactly the same! She's such a gem and so easy to talk to on top of it all, she always gives a big hug and kiss happy to see you. I wouldn't trust anyone else to listen and apply the way she does. I've always been unhappy in the past every time I leave any other salon because no one really listened to what I wanted my look to be, but Maria is a true diamond, always there to give her opinion and execute what you want! Marie Elia is the way to go :)

Had a bad experience. I was scheduled to have my hair done by Maria and it turned out horrible. I showed her the picture of the style I wanted and she kept saying my hair was bad and the picture of the hair style was good and she is not sure about it. Throughout the entire time she was very antisocial compared to the other staff working there even though she knew it was my first time there. She didn't wash my hair properly as if she was afraid to wash my hair making me very uncomfortable throughout the experience. She used excessive heat on my hair to the point I could see the smoke around me. My area smelled like smoke and was covered in smoke and she didn't use heat protectant on my hair. Now my hair is fried from the amount of heat damage. My hair was fully healthy and curly before coming here now half of my hair is stringy! If you have curly hair I would not recomend this place or at least not Maria. She doesn't seem to know what to do with curly hair and styling and washing unfortunately and isn't social. If I was by any chance to come back here I would ask for Michelle or the guy working there at least they are freindly.

I did hair color here 2 months ago and it's soooooooo bad!!! It was even so expensive that it's not worth my money. I didn't enjoy the color of my hair after a week it faded and damaged my hair. The product is low quality and the service was bad!!! Me and my friend went and they even charge you for blow drying your hair!!! What kind of service is that???!!! So my friend and i went home with wet hair.not even gonna lie. My hair color now is so bad i wasted my money on this salon.

in terms of the salon as a whole, it's a really nice, clean and very inviting. But do yourself a favour and do not book appointments with Katilyn. I was unlucky enough that when I called, I was booked with her. Where it may seem after she's done with you that she's done a relatively good job, you come to realize that it's not exactly what you've been expecting. I even showed her a picture of what I want my hair to look like and came out looking nothing like that. I asked for lots of layers and texture overall, but did not get any of that. I specifically asked for layers all over, but maybe only the 2 bottom inches of my hair ended up being layered. I had tons of splits, which were not all gotten rid of. I asked for face framing layers, and the shortest of these were below my chin - that's not face framing at all. not to mention that when I washed my hair at home and styled it, I noticed that the length of the front hair is no even on both sides. Overall a big disappointment and money wasted. Wish I never went there. Or maybe it's just Katilyn that's not a good stylist. But I will never know as I'm not willing to go there again.

Barbara answered the phone and made time for me that night! Barbara gave me a fantastic precise cut, exactly as I requested and had shown in some pictures! I have been told that it is the sign of a great cut when you can style it as the stylist does. It has been weeks since Barbara has cut it and I am often asked if I just had my hair done. No, I styled it myself - thanks to the great cut by Barbara! Everyone at the salon was very polite and friendly. They have a new customer, I will definitely be back to see Barbara for my next cut!!

Went to this place because of reviews, had the most aggressive treatment of my life. The hairdresser was not gentle at all, felt like all my hair will be ripped out-even said to her but she just giggled and said sorry and continued to make my eyes water from the hair pulling (will not say who it is). Also gave a hair cut to my mom, who walked out with her entire neck cut-when we went back a moment later to show this, we were handed this sentence "what do you want me to do now?" Is this a joke? I do not know how well their tools are treated, but it is not just a pandemic, hep B is a threat too. Made sure all our friends and family stay away from this place.

I would like to express my gratitude to Maria for doing an amazing job on my hair this past Saturday. I had previously arranged an appointment with stylist Rosie for 8am on Saturday July 20th as I had a family wedding and due to the fact that it was out of town, timing was extremely important as I had other services to attend following hair. She did not show up for 8am. A phone call was made to her at 8:15am - apparently she was on her way however as of 8:30am still a no show. Thankfully, Maria offered to do my hair seeing that I was a little stressed and once again I cannot thank her enough because not only did she have me done and on my way she exceeded my expectations on how I wanted my hair to look. I would also like to mention that I was extremely disappointed when Rosie did show and no effort was made to come talk to me to simply provide some form of explanation or an apology for being late. I found that to be rude and disrespectful therefore I would not recommend this stylist should you be on a time constraint. Once again Maria, you are truly THE BEST!

Lady cutting my hair did not listen to a word I was saying in regards to how I wanted my hair cut. She did things her way. I paid over $70 for the haircut and even tipped the lady as I had been coming to this salon for a while and felt it’s a respectful thing to do. I expressed my concern that I was not happy with the cut and did not get what I asked for, the lady insisted this is what she could do because according to her my hair was too long and silky for layers and she just could not add more volume (all she gave me was a cut, she added no layers at all and my bangs were not properly cut either) ... I scheduled an appointment to get my hair fixed by another lady at the salon who ended up doing an amazing job and gave me exactly what I wanted. But never was I told I would be charged until after the cut when the owner had the audacity to ask me to pay full price for the cut !!!! Why should someone who has already paid over $70 the first time for a terrible cut have to pay an extra $50+ to fix a horrible job done by the salon employee who originally cut my hair? Extremely bad customer service, not once did I get an apology from the lady who originally cut my hair and Phil the owner did nothing to rectify the situation. This is not customer service. Extremely dissatisfied with this experience. I don’t recommend this place.

If I could give a 0/5 rating I would, this is an absolute nightmare. I asked for a platinum blonde and came out with white/grey/pink/purple roots and ginger/red ends. The stylist Maria started bleaching from my roots, which was virgin hair and then went to the ends which is where my coloured hair was. I had told her I had coloured hair and she knew this because she dyed it herself. After she bleached, the roots were white and the ends were dark brown. EVERY STYLIST KNOWS TO NEVER START FROM THE ROOTS BECAUSE THEY LIFT FASTER. She had to ultimately bleach the ends a second time to get it to lift which turned the ends orange and damaged. Another female stylist with glasses and platinum hair walked by and gasped, then Maria put PINK toner in my hair which she left for 40 MINUTES to go blow dry another client. Even the salon owner had to come wash my hair because she left me, and he was shocked to see my red hair. The toner left my hair pink and purple, and my white roots turned grey. I looked in the mirror and wanted to cry, she kept trying to lie to me to make me feel better saying, "oh it looks nice" and pressuring me into liking it. This went on for 40 min as she cut and blow dried my hair. I collapsed under pressure and simply said "it doesn't look that bad". The end result was white and grey/pink/purple roots, ginger and red ends. My mom came and she hated it, we paid $250 which was a mistake and we deserve a refund. I was lectured for 4 hours on my hair and everyone made fun of it. I didn't deserve this and I just wanted my hair to look nice for my birthday. All the salon owner offered was a dumb discount for the next time. But I will never go back there to do my hair and I warn everyone else from going. Absolute garbage hair I want to shave off.

I have been going to Michelle for those 10 years and she is amazing. She knows my hair like no other so I feel so great to be able to go and she just knows what to do. thanks team!

Been going here for about 3 years now. The entire team is accommodating and friendly. Phil and his team make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere of the entire place is like a lounge where you can sit, relax and socialize with a team that treat you like family. Refreshments are always offered while you wait along with pleasant conversation from everyone. Prices are more than reasonable. They are very competitive and I doubt you'll find better prices anywhere else. I can honestly tell you, I wouldn't go anywhere else, the atmosphere is just to good to leave behind. It's feels more like going to meet up with your friends when you go and less like going for a haircut. As for my haircut, I have been serviced by two stylists - Barbara and Areta - Barbara being my regular stylist since I started going does a perfect job each time I go in. Areta took care of me a couple of times when Barbara was on vacation and had no problem cutting my hair exactly the way Barbara does it which is just the way I like. Perfect!

I had a hard time finding a great stylist for my hair . Luckily my cousin recommended Structure For Hair Salon. I had the pleasure of meeting all the incredible, friendly, helpful staff. They make you feel so at home. It's a very loving salon. Maria always takes such great care of me and my hair. She is amazing and takes her time to make sure I am happy with my hair. She is an incredible hairdresser!! Couldn't be happier!!!!!

My wife and I have been going to structure for 6 years now and we love it. For men's hair, Phil, the owner is great, he keeps up with new trends and really knows how to cut my hair in a way make it easy to style daily. My wife gets her hair done with Michelle who is great as well, they can accommodate various religious needs by having women in private area in the back. The place has that modern salon look, but has the small local business feel. I can go in early, have a cappuccino, talk to the staff then sit down for my cut. Really making it an enjoyable experience. Pricing is very competitive, and to me represents good value for your dollar.
