I've known Shazam for years and have been following his locations. Port Credit location is very convenient and professional. Men's haircut are much simpler and one could think that any hairdresser can do it right, but this is not true and I have pictures to prove it... Shazam's haircut always feels and looks right. Unless you go onto their website (and who does that every time?) you don't find out that each hairdresser charges differently. I went in for a trim in March and paid $55; went in on Saturday and paid $72! My hair is pretty short so that seems an extravagant price . However, I'll take this as a lesson learned and go somewhere that is a little more transparent with their pricing.

Speaking from experience, this is the only salon I trust to get my hair done. I'm always leaving the salon looking better every time. The customer service is amazing! Everyone is very kind and welcoming. The staff care about each and every one of their customers. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. My friend got her hair done here, needed to go from black to blonde. She had to go back the next day because the colour was not even. At the second appointment they bleached her hair again which is never recommended among professionals. They ended up giving her a chemical burn on her scalp, it’s incredibly itchy and painful for her.

okay, anyone else ever bounced around hair salons, desperately looking for the perfect hair stylist, great studio, friendly staff, basically" the works"? yah that was me for years, always trying new salons, always leaving a little less than satisfied, until the day I walked into Shazam hair studio. I was just a walk in customer, hoping to get a decent hair cut. Well, I received way more. Almost 4 years later, I travel an hour and a half for every appointment with the extremely talented, and equally lovely Joanna, my hair stylist, who i'm fortunate enough to call a friend. Since my very first time, I've always been greeted by all staff with a smile and friendly "hello's". The studio is clean, well organized & ideally located. The staff are incredibly talented (honestly, I've seen amazing work and all of their clients leave with smiles on their faces), honest (very important), warm and friendly, & very professional. If you're currently struggling to find the right hair studio, take my word for it and head to Shazam's. Came for a root touch-up and colour correction, left with ABSOLUTELY FRIED HAIR and it currently won't stop falling out :') My hair was supposed to be a platinum icy white colour which I understood takes some time to get but can be properly achieved with a professional. My hair was already bleached twice coming in but I wasn't worried because my hair has never gotten fried before. In fact, it usually still remained soft to the point that every other salon I've been to asks how I keep it so soft. No one has ever put level straight 30 developer in my hair, only 20 sometimes mixed with 30. I can't even imagine why anyone would want to be level 30 on roots. I realized something was wrong towards the end when I was in the salon and my hair was falling out onto my lap and they were brushing my concerns off. No, don't tell me it's normal. It ISNT NORMAL for hair to fall out like this I know it's not my hair's fault because this has never happened ever. My hair is strong and thick and once again, even the stylist (Shazam) commented on it. I get that the pandemic is rough but don't cut corners and screw up someone's hair like that. It's so unprofessional and I'm truly disappointed because I thought this studio was a hidden gem :( I have no choice but to grow out my hair now and probably get a wig because the hair doesn't stop falling.

Their customer service is pitiful. After previous amazing experiences at the salon with Blanca and their wonderful esthetician, I booked several weeks in advance to secure an appt once I heard salons were reopening and pay the deposit to secure child care for that day as I knew the appointment would take several hours. Upon receiving my reminder call it was realized that the receptionist had made an error with my appointment (I understand mistakes happen from time to time) but I was extremely surprised to essentially have my appointment canceled due to her mistake and being informed that they could not provide me the service that I had originally booked for. I was given a lackluster apology and essentially no attempt was made to make up for it. After much back and forth I was made to feel like an absolute burden for simply wanting to keep my appointment as I had originally booked, the owner spent far too much time trying to talk me out of the service I requested and for something that I did not want as it would be easier for them and their time constraints. I was then quoted a completely different price from the one I was initially told the day I booked. I'm glad they seem to be busy enough that they don't have to focus on certain aspects such as customer service - but I will absolutely never waste my time or money at this establishment again after the treatment I received.

Took my brother to this place for a men perm, it was our first time but they treated us very good with great customer service. We were not sure how the curly hair would turn out on short hair but we were really surprised by the end results. It was everything we hoped for, tight nice curls. The ladies are all fantastic and friendly, and happy to give advice or an opinion about a cut, style or colour. Shazam, having been my stylist for so long...knows every cowlick, curl and eccentricity of my hair and knows if what I’m asking for will work with my hairs particular tendencies...and if not, will make a solid recommendation on how to accomplish something similar but that my hair won’t fight. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I travel over an hour each way just to have my hair in the most capable hands possible. ♥️

She did my wedding day hair ten years ago and I will forever be grateful for her beautiful work. Bonus, we have amazingly fun chats during my appointments! The entire staff at the salon take Covid very seriously and I have felt safe during the pandemic - when they were allowed to be open. My temperature is checked before even sitting down and mask precautions are followed diligently. Shazam, the owner, is an absolute gem of a human being which makes me want to support this business even more, so much that I convinced my husband to be a new client! Pre-pandemic my husband had short hair that was easily maintained with a trimmer. He's gone for a longer, "beachy" look and Shazam has been styling it perfectly! If you're looking for a new salon, I (obviously!) can't recommend Shazam enough! This place rocks!

I had THE best experience today at Shazam Hair Studio. My hairdresser Nicole gave me a beautiful cut and balayage colour! She listened to what I wanted and gave me more thane expected. I have also worked with Rachel who is spectacular as well! I felt very comfortable and safe there, they are following all COVID protocols. I went in just for a hair consultation, but ended up staying for a highlight color and cut by Shazam. I told him about my hair dye allergy, and he was very careful with my scalp. It's been a few days now, and I've not had any reactions. Everyone I interacted with was nice and kind, and they're super gentle with your hair. If you have very curly hair and/or a sensitive scalp, I'd highly recommend coming here!

I have been a client of Shazam for 3 years, after stopping a woman with a stunning haircut/color on the street in Port Cresit to ask where she got her hair done. I live in NJ, work in NYC, and come up here every couple months to get my hair done by Shazam (with the added benefit of visiting my family here, lol!). I got my hair coloring done here. I wanted a haircolour without bleach and of a perticular brand or colour. I forgot to mention it and got a differnt brand of colour mixed up. My stylist Natalie explained me just before applying and changed it at once when I told I wanted a differnt brand of color to be used. She gave me wat I wanted and got a new colour mixed up without cribing. I loved her attitude towards customer satisfaction and going extra mile. If you are looking for a place to get your hair done to the Glamour level, try Shazam. My visit in Studio was a pure delight. Shazam personally advised me regarding color change and made a haircut. I didn't explain much about how and what. And in just under one hour Shazam made magic with my hair. I left the Studio like a star. When at home my kids asked "Is this a wig?" Two weeks past and my hair still feel amazing, even without styling, they are light, silky and naturally looking. Thank you Shazam. The price was high, but absolutely worth it!

I recently got a haircut with Blanca after a couple of months from my last appointment. She did a spectacular job and cut it exactly how I wanted. She is an excellent worker, who dedicates herself and time to you and your needs to the maximum. Apart from being a great hairstylist, I come back to her because I am also more comfortable explaining what I want from my appointments in my native language. As she was helping me, an employee (male) told her to stop speaking in Spanish because he could not understand what she was saying. I found this to be disrespectful (and discriminatory) against both, as it implied he wanted to shut down our private (!) conversation. Instead of treating her bilingual ability and dedication to client's comfort as an admirable asset, I feel that this employee's actions tarnishes the primary goals of this studio and leaves a bad after taste in my last appointment. Even if it was supposed to be a joke, I hope this employee understands that it's not acceptable to critique language abilities, especially in front of customers who seek out and pay for specific (and phenomenal) hairstylists, especially in such a multicultural country.

Terrible place and fake reviews - I don't know how this place is running, my wife asked for a hair cut and she asked for a shortest trimming of hair with only 2-3 inches to be cut. He trimmed the hair into half approx chopped off 11 inches hair. We have planned for a europe trip and this event literally spoiled it. Guys if you have an important event coming for you, this is not the place you should go to. I doubt this place is having fake reviews because if you cant even trim, what complex hair styles you will make. This all is done by none other than shazam the stylist. We cant ever trust this place. Got my hair cut from the owner Shazam and he is AWESOME! Knows what he is doing, his experience shows in the confidence with which he recommended the style that would go with my face (even though I was wearing a mask, lol) and I knew I'm going back to him for all my hairstyling needs the moment I heard him recommend what was already on my mind. He cut with such confidence and took the time to make it look perfect. The cut looks great, he didn't press me to get my hair colored (I'm going gray with confidence), rather suggested how I should part my hair so the natural grays look more blended, and didn't try to sell me any hair products when I told him I prefer for the stylists applying them - I already have a cabinet full of them! I've gone to Shazam Hair Studio twice now. The first time I got a haircut from Shazam himself. Despite my hair often being difficult for haircutters (curly when longer, straight when short), he did an exceptional job. The price is a bit high ($52 for men's haircut with Shazam before tax and tip), but he's definitely one of the two best haircutters I've ever had (the other charged $47, so comparable). My wife also got a haircut from Shazam, and we're both very happy with her haircut as well. Since women need haircuts far less often, and are typically charged more, I'd say this was definitely worth the price ($88) and would recommend Shazam in a heartbeat. So why not 5 stars? Well the second time I got a haircut from one of the lower-price haircutters (they're all $35+, so definitely not cheap), it was disappointing to say the least. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the worst cut I've ever had, but for that price point it's quite bad. (The worst ones I've ever had were back when I was a student and paid ~$10-15, so this is double the price and only marginally better; I've definitely had better $20 haircuts.) I might try another (non-Shazam) stylist at some point, but at this point it seems there's a large skill gap. Admittedly I've only tried one non-Shazam stylist at this point, but I have to say the price feels unreasonable if the quality doesn't match.

I dont beleive this - after spending 300$ on a very bad cut and colour - the owner blames me for coming late and spending 4hrs at his salon. Shazam thin out my hair so much that from a bouncy nice fuller hair - now my hair looks like a cancer patient.. when i reached late due to rain - i clearly gave an option of doing just the cut and colour can be done another day - but it was his decision to do both - but it came with a cost of bad cut and damaged hair. He bleached my hair with 40vol - he did not even bother checking if my hair had strength to handle such heavy bleaching- on top of it he left my head under heat with bleach in it until he finished another cut - this has resulted in breakage and excess damage now - i trusted him assuming he is an expert but he destroyed the quality of my hair which i dont think can be repaired- after such heavy bleaching - i did not like the blonde look - so to reverse that i had to waste another 3 hours in salon - About thinning - he said he would like to take weight off - which i thought would be more of texturing - which any good stylist usually does after blowdrying hair - but thinning in my hair was done in wet hair even without detangling it - The cut is so bad - it cannot be fixed. I regret putting my trust in you

I really wanted to like this place since it is close by and the staff is really friendly, but unfortunately they were not able to handle the nature of my hair. I have extremely straight short hair and I just needed it cleaned up on the sides and back. The stylist started just directly cutting my hair as how I wear it and not sectioned. She just keep cutting on random parts. When it wasn't coming out okay she tried fixing it and even asked for advice from another stylist. They tried to fix it and my hair seemed acceptable when i left with the hair product they placed. But i noticed after I washed it at home and dried it that one side was really uneven, like I wouldn't know what to make of it no matter how I style it. I will just have to cover it up until i grow it long enough to have it fix and even out. :(

Excellent service ! Love this salon, always feels great to visit. Nicole is awesome. I just want to add the the safety protocol being take at the salon is thorough. You can come in until your appointment. Then hand sanitizer and everyone wears a mask. They even take your temp. At least 12 feet between clients. Chair and surface are being disinfected between clients. I get very safe. Great job everyone !

I had an appointment with Shazam! He was amazing. I have thick, curly hair and he was able to handle it with no problems in a decent amount of time. Honestly, best cut Ive had in at least a decade! Go see Shazam, you will not be disappointed. Cant wait for my highlights in 3 weeks.

I went to Shazam Hair Studio for the first time. When I entered the salon, I was greeted by all the friendly staff and offered a coffee. I enjoyed the atmosphere - very clean and comfortable studio. Tess cut my hair. She was wonderful! I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with my hair and asked Tess to give me some suggestions. Even though she had only met me for the first time, her suggestions were all ideas that suited what I wanted and I was able to make a quick decision. She took great care of me, paying attention to every detail - from the wonderful scalp massage to the final styling of my hair! My experience at Shazam Hair Studio was GREAT and I highly recommend visiting this studio for your next haircut!!

Tuesday February morning I was looking all over Mississauga for a really good hair studio that would give me the dramatic change I personally needed. Its definitely a huge change since I had over 12 inches of hair. I chose a super short, trendy, layered, angled bob, shorter in the back, slight length to the front cut. Went straight for the top of the line hair studio professional, none other than Shazam himself! Just as I thought I couldn't go wrong with that. His studio is worth it! The friendly, professional staff all work together in making your hair dream-look come to life along with a comfortable studio experience. No kidding Shazam really knew how to add that SHAZAM to my complicated hair. I'm sure even if he had not cut my hair, I can assure you he can offer the best advice possible or give you the confident consult or encouragement you need for yourself to go for the look you've always wanted. Also, bought one of his hair creams recommended for a medium hold to style my hair the way he suggested. Love there shampoo and conditioner Aloe-based products, Euforia brand. Overall, I left with a wash, cut and style plus a product, it was money well spent. Complimentary beverage and a friendly, comfortable experienced staff with excellent customer & salon etiquette! They even helped me donate my hair to charity, which was heart warming. RECOMMENDED! Great location along Lakeshore Rd. E. I even overheard a man walkout happy with his own cut. Ladies don't hesitate.

I went to Shazam to get a hair cut for my son. To be fair they did inform me that they only have a Junior stylist available. I went ahead because I only needed his hair trimmed, nothing much else. I specifically informed the stylist that I needed his hair shortened a bit so that it doesn't get into his eyes. Nothing else. And she proceeded to cut off all his hair and go in a completely different direction. Not only that the hair was patchy and not cut neatly. I understand that she was a junior stylist but by going to a professional location I expect the stylist to have some ability to cut hair.
