Celeste has been doing my hair for over a year now. I had the same stylist for 12 years prior but she moved to another province forcing me to find someone new. I tried a few before finding Celeste. This salon is clean and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Everyone is lovely. Celeste is fantastic.

If you want to get your hair ruined, go to this place. I asked for a fade haircut and went home with a mess in my head. The old man who did it, clearly didn't know what he was doing. He was shaky and looked nervous. Never got a fade, just got two horrible lines that he could not fade. In the end, I had to go another place to get that mess fixed. Now, I look like the "Peaky Blinders", far to have the nice fade that I wanted.

there is a guy who looks chinese. He is extremely rude, and does not know how to talk to customer. I went for my son haircut, and he does not know how to talk in front of the kids. Also, his haircut skills are very poor quality , he ruined my son haircut, and also even I asked, he did not clean the tools.. if someone go there, he will get skin disease and never get value of your money. I strongly suggest to avoid going to this salon.

I would not go there again. Been a customer for more than 3 years. Since almost 6 months, i believe the ownership of this place changed and the quality of haircut went downhill. I received a very bad hair cut, i got patches of hair in my head.

There’s a short white lady barber who u should avoid. After she finished with the white customer, (who came in after me but taken in before me), she asked me to sit on the same chair that was full of hair on and around it. I refused to sit until they clean it up and she, very rudely said “You have to sit on the chair and not on the floor” When I insisted on cleaning up, she again very rudely said, “I WILL NOT CUT YOUR HAIR. GO and WAIT. Gosh…How humiliating… If u ever go to this place, I recommend the tall white lady hairstylist. She was very good and courteous

I took my baby boy there for a small hair cut as the hair kept going in his eyes and he didn't seem happy. He has full head of gorgeous waves/curls. I asked the guy for a tiny trim. The attendant just kept snipping my boy's hair as if I was invisible, he went through so fast taking A LOT of the hair, NOT A TRIM. That's more of a shave, in the end he even forced me to pay tip (I did not want to pay for that damage he caused). There was no skip option on the machine, I said no, but he was like "Pay, pay..". Not nice !!! Never going back there, NOT recommending it either. Good Luck if you go!..

I honestly should have went to mega cuts or first choice. When I walked in the receptionist said she would get a barber for me. Walked into the back, and obviously found out, the other barbers were busy. So she sat me down and I gave her a funny look because I wasn't sure if she cut hair. She then asked if I would rather wait for Frank. I said if you know how to do a bald fade then I don't mind if you cut It. She then continued to cut my hair She clearly did not know what she was doing. I had lines in the back of my head from her not blending it properly. At the end of the cut, she was very reluctant to show me the back of my head with the mirror. I Specifically had to ask her to show me, I then saw all the lines and asked her if she could blend it more. She replied once I rinse my hair the lines will go away. As soon as I got home, I realized she was full of it!!And I had to shave my head. I was very disappointed I will never go back again. And overpriced!!!

Hair stylist are very good. They won't let you wait a long in wait area. They are quick and efficient. They know all style and it's easy to tell them which one you want try on your hair. $12 and up for kids/men and $15 and up for women.

Asian guy and girl (I think they’re the owners) are so rude. Honestly I don’t think they know anything about how to provide good customer service and customer experience. Every time I call to ask about something they’re rude, they don’t let you ask questions, they speak over you, and try to end the call so fast they are basically hanging up on you. The only reason I still go to this place is because Grace, a hairstylist there is amazing, she has so many years of experience, knows exactly what you want and always does a great job as well as always gives excellent customer service and overall a great experience. Sucks this place was bought out by 2 people that offer TERRIBLE service. Only reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because Grace is great

Horrible service at this place. We went for a haircut today and they said 30 minutes wait and they asked us to come back in 30 minutes. When we came back, we waited there for another 15 minutes but no one bothered to ask or say anything to us , if we needed help, one old lady employee was too busy to die her own hair and another one just ignored us. We left after being sick of ignoring.

One of their hair stylis made us wait because he already had an appointment with anothet customer who was not there for more than 15 minutes. I asked if they accept appointment but was told they do not... so WHY DID WE HAVE TO WAIT?!. Our time is important too so I suggest you treat ALL your customer the same. I do not appreciate that becuase he has been working there for 50 years that I had to wait because he can pick his customers. This is the first time I experience such poor customer service from a salon.IF YOU DO NOT offer appointment then you don't. Be FAIR!

$15 woman’s haircut turned out to be $20. Asked for not too much to be taken off but Simon kept cutting + so quickly. This salon doesn’t know how to do balayage - I wouldn’t come back for that service. It was just okay.

My best experience at this location is with the hairdresser Grace. She’s talented, takes the time to listen to your needs and delivers an excellent overall experience not mention has serviced this location for years! I’m saddened to see the new management has caused such a drastic change on such great service provided for many years but I hope the committed customers and stylists are able to once again have their needs met and continue with Modern Hair. Have been a customer for a very long time. Love the atmosphere and service. The place is busy on most weeknights and always on weekends. I always call to arrange an appointment, especially on Saturdays - the most convenient day of the week for me. The walk-ins are always accommodated.

The worst haircut that I have had for the last many many years....hair size itself was not consistent...the entire shape was spoilt...I actually wonder if that lady has taken a course for haircut...there is a basic symmetry and basic sense of haircut that every trained barber is supposed to have even if they might not be able to provide a stylish cut...had I given the scissors to my 4yr old I feel he would have done a better job

I usually get a haircut here and I've gotten lots of different styles from various hair dressers. This is one of the only places where I get my hair done that when the stylist is done I don't hate it. I would recommend the splurge to come out happy with the result. Staff is super nice! Price is expensive but I suppose it is normal for a nice salon.

I was recommended by someone on our neighbourhood page that this was an excellent salon and she recommended me to her stylist. I took an appointment for 11:30 AM today. And reached in time. I was asked to wait for some time which I would have gladly done but then the stylist I am referring to came and said the wait would be long as she had two clients one who was late and the other who had an appointment for YESTERDAY but came in today. Her attitude was totally unprofessional and had sparks of RACISM . I just walked out commenting that this is utter unprofessional but she did not even have the decency to apologize.
