I was in search for a korean salon in the Etobicoke/Missisauga area that had great reviews, and chanced upon Hair Shine. I called them and asked about the price for a haircut, and found it to be very reasonable. I went there the same day and I think after my first experience, this will be be my go-to salon from now on. Their place isn’t as fancy as the others, but it’s clean and most of all, the people there know what they’re doing. They don’t speak English very well but you can see that they’re trying their best to befriendly and accomodate your needs and wants. Will definitely be back.

This is my go to place for haircut. The staff are very friendly and professional. They sanitize everything before and after each customer and there are dividers between seats. Price is reasonable and I got the exact hairstyle I wanted. Located on the second floor but easy to access to the salon.

I spent 400 dollars to get pastel blue/purple hair and ended up navy blue. I kept complaining about the colour and they kept saying "don't worry". I'm so angry. 400 dollars and Its almost the same colour as my original hair. You can only see the colour of you're in bright light. I'm going to another place on Thursday to see if they can give me what I actually wanted to begin with for a CHEAPER price (around 200). I'm so outraged how they could look me in the eye and say "beautiful". I'm a student and 400 dollars isn't a walk in the park to get. It's the equivalent of around 3 paychecks.

Im so disappointed, they did not achieve the haircut I wanted even after I showed them the picture and now my hair’s too short for my liking. She was already cutting my hair short before she realized that she cant do the hairstyle that I wanted. I also kept being discouraged to dye my hair because they think it already looks good as it is. All I wanted was to dye it jet black. Anything I suggested to them that does not even take too much of an effort was shut down and discouraged.

The best salon ever! I’ve been waiting so long for them to reopen since Mar and I finally made an appointment yesterday! As always, I had amazing hair cut and perm. They had a temperature check for safety prior to entering and created more private areas between customers to prevent any contact. Even during this pandemic, I felt comfortable and safe. Professional staffs, reasonable price. The stylist I had gave some advice for my 1c type hair. They recovered my damaged hair (which was messed up thru last two years) by some trimming and cuts. For sanity wise, everything is sanitized before each customer. Customers can remain in social distance as the store is spacious and seats are separated with dividers. Tried haircuts in other places in East Mississauga and this was the best one so far.

My hairstylist took the time to discuss the right kind of style I was looking for my perm. She was very friendly and attentive during the entire process from start to finish. For a mid-length hair perm, it took me 2.5 hours, for a very competitive price compared to other salons. I was extremely satisfied with their service and the end results! This was my second time visiting Hair Shine and will definitely go back in the future. Recommended for sure :)

Honestly, I would not go to anywhere else. Second visit today, they opened for me and other customers even though they do not open on Mondays! I've gotten a japanese straight perm and haircuts at Hair Shine 3x already. My hair is thick, frizzy and a pain to manage during summer months when it's super humid. The perm stays until I go back in usually 11-12 months later. And it never damages my hair :)

This is my first time to try this salon. I read the reviews online and then called to make an appointment. Pretty nice place and nice people here. The stylist( I think it’s Mrs Kim) cut my hair quickly and nicely. It’s pretty much what I want. What surprised me is my hair is easily to curl inward at the end after cutting. That’s really amazing since they even didn’t blowout my hair with the round brush, which is always done by other salons I went before in order to creat a curl inward. I did a haircut and hair dye here. The price is pretty reasonable, only $75. If you have anyway question about the price, you can always call the store to ask. They will give the answer to help you decide whether to go or not. BTW, I am highly satisfied with the hair colour. The smell of the dye products is nice, not like many hair dye sets. I think most of their customers are Korean. They speak a lot of Korean, but they can speak English and fully understand what you said. I will come back for sure.

The ladies are all very welcoming and treat you the way you want to be treated. I got my hair cut by Rina Lee and it was absolutely perfect. They ruined my hair twice. Lady was rushed both times and made gave me a cut I didn't ask for, and made it uneven to boot. She also cut my back hair into a slanted line. Only came here because there aren't many Korean hair salons in the area. I'm going to put in the effort to find a new place. Never coming back.

DO NOT get your hair done at this salon the lady has no idea what she’s doing. I asked her for a silver balayage/ombré instead my hair came out orange with a bunch of patchy dark spots at first I thought it still wasn’t done yet so I waited but then the lady starts blow drying my hair and she says it “looks perfect “ like seriously??? so I asked her if it was done and she says Yes. I could not believe they were going to let me out with that hair I could see hear the other workers talking and I could understand them a little one of the workers said “ this is not balayage at all it’s a straight line, balayage is suppose to blend in and her hair is orange and patchy” after all that the lady still charges me full price ($180) ! DO NOT go there they will just damage and ruin ur hair like they did to mine.

I've been coming here for over a year now, and I'm always happy with my hair after. I use to go to salons up at Yonge/Finch, that were more expensive but decided to try Hair Shine since it was close to my workplace. Best decision ever! There's adequate parking in the plaza and the ladies there are super accommodating! On a few occasions I've called in the morning to see if they were able to squeeze me in during my lunch, and had no issues at all! Prices are reasonable, although since COVID they have increased their prices very slightly. I'm more than happy to pay a bit more as they've invested in adequate safety measures to allow for social distancing - temperature check, plastic covers between work stations, sanitation after each guest leaves etc. Highly Recommended! :)

First time getting haircut here and it was 50/50. Firstly, the person who cut my hair was nice. I showed her a picture of what kind of hairstyle I wanted but she cut my hair a whole different style which was not what I wanted. But the different hairstyle she gave me was OK. I just noticed now when I came home is that the line back of my hair is tilted which got my dying lol! Overall, the price would've been reasonable ($20 men) if she cut my hair the way I wanted to be but nope she did a whole different style and it wasn't worth the price...
