I went to Serenity for the first time earlier this week. My stylist was Becca and she did a FANTASTIC job on my hair. I got about 7 inches cut off, so my new “do” is a short bob that is shorter in the back and longer in the front. Becca took her time making sure the cut was just right and, let me tell you, it’s perfect! Got SO MANY positive compliments today at work. I think I have found “The One” in becca and will definitely be going back!!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff with reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Had a morning appointment today with Jessica. I’m not good with explaining what kind of haircut I want so all I could do was show some pictures to give her a general idea of what I’m looking for and the haircut after wash took about 20-25 mins. Really impressed, I’ve never been so satisfied with my haircut ever. Would definitely come back!

Had a great experience here - great haircut and then when I styled it myself I had one part I wanted a teeny bit different (just cause of how I style it) and they got me back in to fix it super quick and it was great! My favourite part is there referral system too! Awesome incentive! Would definitely recommend

I've been getting my hair done at Serenity for 2.5 years, which is almost as long as I've lived in Nanaimo! Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their tea selection is incredible. Their stylists are tremendously talented. I previously had been one of those people who would rarely go to the same stylist/salon more than once or twice. This was usually due to a combination of not loving my hair and not feeling comfortable. Not at Serenity! My hair always turns out great and I always feel at ease. And the friends who I send to the salon always agree! You're definitely in good hands at Serenity Salon!

I feel it is very expensive. I had highlights put in, 2 colors, med shoulder length hair, cost me $175 without the tip. It took only 2 hrs. and atmosphere was anything but serene. I'm going to move on unfortunately

I arrived with a really bad haircut from a different salon day before. They did an amazing job of repairing the cut without loosing too much length. The stylist had an amazing understanding of hair and worked with me regarding my habit of air-drying my hair. I also appreciated being able to ask questions regarding my hair and having an honest answer, as well as learning about hair with the practicum student observing. Overall great experience and I wish i had gone here in the first place!

I love this salon! Comfortable, great staff and the best haircuts ever! I have long, thick, curly hair. I am always happy with the results and never leave feeling like I wasn't being listened too. I would definitely recommend and my favourite stylist is Heidi! Easy to access and parking isn't a problem.

My daughter called around to a few salons to inquire about a bang trim and got quite a few no answers. But Serenity answered and she was able to make an appointment for the next day. I took her there and she was asked to wear a mask beforehand, which she did and they did a fast, awesome job on her bangs and when she went to pay, they said it was no charge! She was very happy with the professionalism and the positive and happy and relaxed atmosphere. I was highly satisfied and impressed and we will be going here again! Thanks Serenity!

Google asks what I love about this place!? How can I even begin?! I love everything about Serenity Salon. The staff is amazing, they are so kind and caring- when you go in they remember you and whats been going on with you, and they really share their lives with you as well. Personalities aside, they do amazing work as well. One stylist (Heidi) took the time after my cut to teach me how to properly French braid my hair so I could protect it from breakage. They are very knowledgeable- always taking courses to learn the new cutting edge techniques (pun not intended, but keeping it anyway) I highly recommend Serenity Salon!

I love this place, Tiffany my stylist is the best and at this point the only one i trust, went to another barber in march because they were already closed from covid-19. Was dissapointed with my result there and could not be happier to be back! Best Salon in Nanaimo. I went in for a colour correction, I was scared as my hair was very damaged from the previous colour removal then a ombré. I was nervous as I did not want my hair to be dry and brittle and I walked out of there compleley amazed. My hair felt brand new, refreshed and the colour blended perfectly very close to my natural colour. Weeks later the blending keeps getting better and better. The expertise in this salon is far above any other salon I have been to in Nanaimo. Keep up the great work.
