I spent a good amount of money for a cut and a colour and wasn’t very happy with it. The cut was left feeling a bit unfinished and choppy and the colour was much darker than what I asked for.. Overall it’s better than what I went in with (I guess..) but not really what I wanted, though I tried to be very specific. Didn’t even show me the back of my cut before ushering me over to pay. I sent an email outlining the issues I had with my service, as I don’t really like confrontation. and a day later they have sent no response. Extremely unprofessional and honestly not good at what they do.

This is literally the worst haircut I’ve ever had. I asked for a fade from 0. The guy was half an hour late. Took an hour, cut my mask, cut a few chunks out, no discount and did a horrible job.

I had both Chris and Karen and they are both up there among the top hair stylists I have encountered to date. They have demonstrated excellent professionalism, skills, as well as characters. A big plus is also the location, which cannot get any better being so close to the water. I would recommend anyone who simply wants the fanciest hairstyle to this salon. It is definitely a highlight of a week having my hair done here while sipping the complimentary coffee!

I've been going to the Hair Factory for years and years. I started at the St. John's location and now I see Karen at the Halifax location. The Hair Factory is a great salon with fantastic stylists. Karen always knows how to make my short and fine hair look cool and sophisticated. I've gone to other stylists and salons over the years but I've never been as happy with my cut and style as I am with the Hair Factory.

I've been going to the Hair Factory, and specifically Cam, forever! I started with him at the St. John's location, and then found him here when I moved to Halifax in 2012. The salon space is beautiful, everyone is friendly and overall it's a very nice place to spend a few hours. Chris cut my hair and did an amazing job. Very friendly and spoke with me about my hair before starting and was very helpful with suggestions. As I'm an overseas traveller it always makes you feel a bit more relaxed when the hairdresser you pick is so nice and accommodating. Highly recommended.

I was trying to find a blonde hair specialist back in July just because I wasn't happy with my current stylist. They messaged me back on instagram very fast and had set up a time for me to come in for a consultation to see where my hair is which is fine and I replied back that it would work for me. They NEVER messaged back until today expecting me to still call in for a hair appointment. Just disappointed with the service is all, I really wanted to give the hair factory a chance. (I wouldn't have written a review if they hadn't messaged me back because it just feels like they care even less)

Very affordable with a man that is talented at his craft. You can get a haircut while your partner shops or has a beer in Keith's. This place is good for residents and tourists.
