I’d been searching for a salon in Halifax for years, and have been loyal to Dime since 2014. Gréât salon, great people, great service. My stylist is a great communicator, and she’s always looking to learn more about my hair type. We feel like a hair team. I always leave feeling amazing. And their prices are so reasonable. It always feels like money well spent.

Absolutely 100% the only and best place to get your hair done. Want that Victoria’s Secret bounce in your hair? Done. Classy and clean men’s cut? Done. Vibrant colours that are unbelievably long lasting? Yep. Stylists that become an essential friend in your life? You bet. These ladies have the strongest hair game. After getting my hair done in Ottawa, Montreal and Munich, some of which were insane overhauls, the darling Dime stylists are where I’ve hung my hat. From my engagement shoot to my wedding to job interviews to balls, no one has rocked my world as much as they have. I almost don’t recommend because I don’t want competition but it’s an opportunity you should never miss. Melissa Dalley is an angel ☀️

I have seen Meghan a number of times and she is a wizard. I have straight long hair that I sometimes color (sometimes explore letting it go grey) and I can walk in and say, "What do we do here?" and she always leaves me feeling like it's in a much better place - even if it's only a trim. She is very honest about color and style and I know she'll tell me the truth (what she thinks will work, what won't work). She has a fun personality and she's very funny herself. I have tried other places and I always come back to her. She makes my hair look great. Highly recommend. Worth the price!

I emailed the salon in regards to booking for my bridal parties hair and makeup. I was in touch with Orla (the owner) and asked her if there was a proper make up portfolio that I could view and she said they don't have any make up pictures only ones that a photographer may have tagged the in. I then said that it was unusual to not have any make up photos and that I was hesitant to book but would keep her updated. She then emailed back saying "If you don't feel comfortable than its not good fit, good luck with your wedding planning." After reading the salons great reviews I followed up and let Orla know that I was feeling confident enough to secure a spot for my wedding. She said: " as mentioned in the previous email I think this may not be a good fit." I emailed back and then she never responded. It was very disappointing that all I did was ask for make up pictures and she ended up rejecting my wedding party because of it. A wedding is a very special day and I wanted to be fully aware of what I was paying for in advance which I think is completely reasonable. I hope that no one else gets treated this way simply because they want an idea of the quality of the service they're receiving.
