Without exaggerating, I think the haircut and beard trim I got from Ryan was the best I've ever had. He took his time to get the details right. The shop is clean, very cool, and inviting. I liked it so much I brought my two sons back in the afternoon. Again, they got the best haircuts from Ryan and Vanessa. I will definitely be coming back here often.

Ryan is an extremely talented barber and really understands the craft well. The telltale sign of a great cut is how it looks as it grows out. Any half decent barber can make your hair look good as you’re walking out the shop door, but only the great ones can shape the cut just right to keep it looking great weeks in. The vibe of the shop is also pretty rad. It’s definitely setup to welcome all walks of life. So if you’re in the market for a great cut in a pretty chill space you’re in luck.

I’ve gotten my hair cut by Ryan twice after getting a recommendation from a coworker. The space itself is spotless, extremely clean, and they take a significant amount of time to sanitize between clients. The cut itself was perfect, Ryan is meticulous and I left feeling very happy with the cut I got. My last appointment I was on hold with the CRA for many hours, and Ryan cut my hair despite me obnoxiously having an earbud in waiting for the CRA to get back to me. He goes above and beyond for his clients and I’d highly recommend this spot.

As a Wortley Village resident intrigued to see a barbershop opening up nearby. Online booking was super easy and was a prepay option which was nice for a quick and efficient appointment. Premises were spotless, bright and cheerful with a hip, minimalist vibe. Ryan was personable, asked for just the right amount of input then executed a great cut. Will definitely return and super excited to see the revitalization of this outpost of commerce in Wortley with JS Ryan, Locomotive etc!

Visited this salon for the first time with 3 other guys on my bothers wedding day. I have to say that this was definately the barber experience we were looking for! Ryan and Vanessa offered varying cut, style and beard trimming services according to each of our needs. We all left looking great and headed straight to the wedding without any of us needing to make adjustments to our style dispite some serious heat and rain. We all brought up the fact that our typical haircuts offer way less attention to detail and we are in and out in 20 minutes or so. Albeit this experience took over 45 minutes, it was well worth it and makes me wonder what I've been missing/paying for with other salons. The shop itself is very clean, fresh and inviting and we all be back again - no question. Thanks again!

I wanted something new and I’ve seen this shop being advertised in the area. I noticed they had a stylist with a deep background in colour and apparently is an amazing stylist so I gave them a shot and booked with a lady by the name of Mekea. As I walked it, it’s just such a nice and welcoming space to come into. Mind you the first thing you notice is that it’s a barber shop. Ladies, don’t be fooled. Check them out. They got a nice line of services to offer. Mekea did a fantastic job with my hair and would highly recommend this shop!

Ryan is an incredibly skilled barber. I was so sad to see him leave Toronto but was pleasantly surprised to see him pop up in London ON. I happened to be there on business where I had the good fortune of visiting his beautiful new space. You won’t find a better quality cut and the conversation is always top drawer as well. London is lucky to have this team in town.

Had perhaps the best haircut in my life here with the Owner. I was recommended here by a different Salon shop after this other salon shop had failed to book me in for an appointment I made over email. Thankfully when I arrived, they recommended J.S. Ryan & Co and that ended up being a great experience: Finally a place that takes the time to actually listen and plan with you (consult) in order to cut and style your hair accordingly. In addition: Friendly and welcoming environment. Fair and reasonably priced. Direct parking lot and street parking available. Detail and customer orientated. Overall, hard to find places like this in London, if any. My understanding is that J.S. Ryan & Co. are new in town and just opened a few days ago, so I recommend you give this place a try.

I've been seeing Mekea for a few years now & she is the only stylist I've met who was able to create the fun & edgy pixie of my dreams! She's super creative & passionate about what she does- can't praise her enough!! Overall a very cool place!

Ryan gives a great cut that looks good for a long time afterwards. On top of that, the shop has a great atmosphere. I'm glad I found this spot, I enjoy getting a cut now - it used to be a chore. I've also been using their Soft Spot Beard cream that makes my face and beard feel and smell so good.
