I can't recommend Union highly enough. I have been seeing Raven for all my hair needs for over a year and she is a colour goddess. The atmosphere in the shop is so welcoming and unique and I always feel comfortable and valued. I was thrilled when my go-to nail gal Hannah joined the Union team because now it's a one stop shop for all my beauty needs. And if the amazingly talented ladies there aren't reason enough to check it out then wait till you hear the best part... They have a shop dog named Franny and she is the bestest girl.

Really friendly, professional and talented people. Book in advance to make sure you get your cut and color in when you want to - they fill up fast as a good hairstylist is hard to find! Jessica Drake makes my hair beautiful every time but I'd recommend booking with any of them. My partner and kids go to the barber side and look forward to seeing everyone, pinball, and getting cleaned up pretty dang nice. Super positive and relaxing atmosphere.

My partner and I have similar length hair and both went in for roughly the same service, to remove split ends and reduce length to be more manageable. The only difference in service is I got a "men's haircut" and the wifey got a "women's haircut", her cut took less time with none of the layering I got but was still charged nearly thirty dollars more. Great staff and great service, scummy gendered pricing. I won't be recommending this business until this is addressed, which is a shame because everything else is top notch. Thanks for reading, I hope this conveys this specific problem.

I went here for a clean up, as my stylist is out of Calgary. I told the stylist that cut my hair at Union, to take off an eighth of an inch, just clean it up. Basically, follow the same length throughout, except taper the sides as it grows out much quicker. She rounded the sides. I had to point out the inconsistencies on the sides a couple times, as it was not an even line, let alone no taper. It felt like she was sanding down table legs to level out the table, but kept over sanding each leg, eventually having no legs left to stand. I ended up with a very generic men's cut, especially in the back, where before the hair came to a unique and neat intertwined point. Not the cool, trendy, slick cut I came in with. Perhaps the barbers are good there, but I have my reservations. My hair is medium length as a reference. I have heard good things from other stylists there, but the one I saw was average.

I was looking for a barber shop that could take my wild beard. I took to Google and Union was the first choice. i went in and was not disappointed! Chad was incredible. It was my first true barber experience and it was awesome. My haircut is awesome, he shaped my beard so it's all nice and sharp looking, and the overall vibe in the shop was great! It felt real old-school and new school all at the same time. And there was no millennial soapbox ranting, so I don't know what that one review was talking about. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants that barbershop vibe!

For the past 6 months, due to the COVID19 pandemic I had to give my self questionable haircuts. I was excited to get a proper haircut eventually after waiting for about a week for my appointment. As this was my first visit I prepared a few photos of my previous haircuts to show an example of what I had in mind. I showed it to the gentleman who was assigned to cut my hair, and added some verbal notes as well, just to make sure we were on the same page. For the first time in my life I had to sit not facing the mirror! Attention to details like hot towel, different kinds of sprays and so on was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! However, I was there to get a decent haircut, which I did not get, and at this point after spending more than $40 I miss those terrible haircuts I used to give myself during the pandemic.
