EDIT: I am grateful for the customer service from this hair salon. They offered to fix my hair color and were receptive of our opinion (my mom's and mine). I don't regret saying what I had to say previously, but I'm also satisfied with the new result! Thank you for your kindness and have a nice day. PREVIOUS: I came to this hair salon and was highly shocked when I saw the receipt. I was charged over 480$ for the bleach and hair color!! I was expecting around 200$ because the website said around 80 to 120$, but I still assumed it would be more because my hair is long. My mom (whose credit card belonged to) was livid and didn't spare me the scolding. The people were nice to me so I was too shy to say anything, but I still wanted to leave a review because I felt bad that my mom spent so much money needlessly. Don't make the same mistake as me and confirm the price before getting your service because these guys charge a whole lot!!! Not to mention I did end up lowkey getting different shades of color around my head instead of just one uniform color... :( I wouldn't mind too much (it doesn't look bad) if I hadn't been charged a monstrous price...

I have been to a lot of high end salons, Deauville, Samuel Augustin, Mod's on Greene avenue but they all had something in common which made me get fed up over time and leave. I really love going here! Ask for Chanel, she's the best and fantastic :) She can do any haircut that I show her with pictures (and she remembers them after a whole month too!). And the options are huge so I'm pretty certain they can do anything you'd want (for Male and Female too). It even sends you a text message confirmation which is great so you don't forget your appointment. The interior is really well lit, modern, super clean, new and super welcoming. It's a great sign that it's always full and busy too since everyone loves going here. If you live in the building, it's a perfect option to switch to because it's awesome to be so close. And if you don't live in the building, it's still a really great place to go with the free parking inside. I've been going here monthly now and I will continue for a long time! I am so disappointed with my experience here. I came in asking for a bleach of the roots and a platinum tone. I had a few areas that were brassy but nowhere near this bad. When I was at the sink I double checked to make sure i was getting a platinum tone.... when they washed it out they informed me they had "warmed it up to look more natural". Essentially they did not do what I asked and only let me know when it was already done....Additionally, I sat with bleach in my roots for over an hour. It has been four days and my scalp is itching and peeling (in the two years I have bleached my hair elsewhere this has never happened!).... I explained that I normally wear platinum extensions and they continued to tone my hair the wrong colour. Now I am unable to wear extensions or even wear my hair down because I look like a clown! I am never one to write bad reviews but I have gone from loving my hair to hiding it under hats scarves etc...... so not worth the 350$! I felt like i was not even greeted with a warm welcome and they were all wearing their masks under their noses to make it worse. Sorry but I definitely do not recommend coming here.

Marsi Spadafora did a great job. She really took her time to not damage the hair. I've been in this salon several times and she is the best because she combined different techniques of balayage to get to the results of a natural looking healthy hair and because she wasn't in a hurry to finish and take another client and I think that's what we should pay for. Had Chanel do my wedding hair and it was a dream! She went for exactly what I wanted, and was really patient when if I changed my mind about anything. Her priority was always that I was happy and got exactly what I wanted, and was super professional. I’ve had experiences with people who have a vision and will not listen to their client, and this was NOT it. She gave suggestions, but always went for what I wanted no problem. My hair lasted all day and I all night. We took pictures before the ceremony next to a lake in November (SUPER windy) and my hair was somehow flowey and soft and beautiful while staying in place. I had a complete down-do with curls and the curls looked soft and beautiful ALL night (through wind, dancing, hugging lots of people). I highly recommend Chanel. She’s truly an artist. Chelsea also was on my hair team and worked on some of my bridesmaids, and they were all so happy with her work. We all looked amazing when the pictures started at 10 AM, app the way until they ended past midnight. You have to hire this sister duo if you have a larger bridal party!

Having had a bad experience in 2010, for the last 11 years I've purposely avoided coloring my hair. After months of research with the help of family and friends, I decided based on Patricia's diverse knowledge and past results, she was the one that could successfully transform my hair. If you're looking for a true hair specialist, look no further. The color I was able to achieve with zero damage is next to impossible with my very dark pigmented hair. I've actually been told many times, the color I have now is unachievable without multiple visits to the salon or possible damage. I'm still in disbelief with the perfect, healthy results to the point where I keep having to remind myself these are not remi hair extensions. Thank you so much Patricia!

It was my first time visiting the salon and I was lucky to have Chanel as my hair stylist. Due to some bad experiences in other places, I was apprehensive to visit a hair salon, but eventually I needed a trim. Chanel sensed my hesitancy, so she sat down and listened to me before even picking up the scissors. Her work on the haircut began after shampooing my hair and she demonstrated her progress as she proceeded. I have a very long curly hair and maybe Chanel knows the relationship one develops with long hair :) therefore she was so careful with it. We decided to try the new haircut for the next few days. In case I felt like cutting it shorter, Chanel offered me to come back and add in more layers, free of charge. I ended up returning the following week (It was so easy to reschedule an appointment). I also got introduced to a new product for getting frizz under control that I am using now, and I am loving it on my hair.

She’s super informative and doesn’t proceed without your confirmation on what it is exactly you want (and your budget which is a bonus.. considering you won’t be surprised when you get to the cash). And tbh, I told her to choose the color according to her expertise and I’m SO glad that I did. The only one in 5 years to be able to lighten my hair tremendously from always dying my roots a 4-5. After reading several amazing reviews I decided to book with Chelsea. I have to say the salon was beautiful from the moment I walked in and the products are top quality. Now for my experience with Chelsea. When I pay that kind of money for my hair I would expect a professional service not someone who was constantly on her phone talking texting or FaceTiming. Not once was I offered anything to drink and to be honest I get better service at half the cost. A little side note for the owners, please talk to your stylists on presentability and professionalism. They are the face of your business and this wasn’t a good look.
