I have reached out to mountain beauties 3 times now trying to inquire about their services for my elopement with no response.

Joanne and Nadine were more than phenomenal on my wedding day. There was 6 of us total getting our hair done, 2 of us getting our make up and the way the two of them worked together couldn't have gone more smoothly in the limited prep time you have before your wedding! The whole bridal party was blown away not only by their beautiful transformations, yet by the amount of help in organization the team played in preparing for my wedding day. If it wasn't for their presence the nerves would have gotten the best of me and I would have been late for the Ceremony. Joanne and Nadine's first priority is to take care of the bride and to ensure nothing takes form them that day. I would highly recommend Mountain Beauties team to anyone who is in search for some fun, friendly assistance on their wedding day. Through the whole booking process, the trial day, right to the day itself, Joanne was very responsive with any updates/questions I had. Thank you again for keeping me worry free on the day of my wedding day! ... Okay the next day too.. my hair and make up was still on fleek!

Mountain Beauties, with a shoutout to Andrea Clarkson, did an incredible job with my wedding make up. They were very accommodating with my challenging schedule to book a trial session, made me feel comfortable and helped me have a lot of fun at the trial. The day of the wedding Andrea did my make-up, the mother of the bride, sister of the bride and best friend of the bride and she did an incredible job. I felt absolutely stunning. She asked questions to make sure my make up fit me, and was the look I wanted. She absolutely nailed it! Andrea was open to changes when I felt things weren’t quite “me,” such as we ended up switching my lipstick colour to suit me a bit better. All of the makeup she did was incredible. I was also very suspicious about the glue on eyelashes however they looked incredible for my girls, (I had previously had my eyelashes done for the big day). Could not have been happier. Mountain beauties was very accommodating and willing to go out of their way to make sure my make-up was exactly “me” for my big day, and they did it all in the middle of a pandemic. Special shoutout to Andrea again who made us all feel at ease, did an incredible job and helped us relax and get pumped for my big day, and made me feel stunning. THANK YOU!!!

These ladies were amazing! I booked them for myself and two bridesmaids for my August 2020 wedding, and they were very quick to respond and accommodating when I had to cancel one of the hair services (thanks to the pandemic). Prices were reasonable and they made the morning of very fun and light. They were easy to talk to and the quality of work was top notch! Our hair and makeup survived a lot of sweat as I got married on a very hot day. They made recommendations on the inspiration photos that I brought to improve it and make it better suited for my look and personality.

Attempted to book for hair and makeup for my sisters wedding party. We filled out the contact form twice, and never heard back. Finally we emailed directly and received an autoreply that they will contact within 7-10 days "if they are able to help". About a week later I received a real reply that they are fully booked and "only reply to inquiries that we can accommodate at this time." Very unprofessional to have such long contact times and to only respond if they are not booked. Leaving people hanging when trying to make arrangements for one of the most important days is bad business practice. EDIT: Wow, the reply from the company confirms their extreme unprofessionalism. I’m sure they provide great hair and makeup services but could use some help with communication and customer service. As a professional in a client service industry, my company would NEVER stand up for me if I spoke to customers in this manner. Nothing in my review is false, it is an account of my experience and not sure that it would qualify as “abusive”. Best wishes!

Joanne and Nikysha made me feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day! The wedding was postponed a couple times due to Covid and Joanne was so understanding and accommodating with every change. These ladies made me so relaxed on my wedding day and we had such a great time. My bridesmaids were all SO happy with their hair and makeup as well. Definitely recommend Joanne and team!

I simply cannot articulate how incredible Joanne was. She was so much more than simply a tremendously skilled hair artist, she was instrumental in making my day run more smoothly than it ever could have without her. Her experience and impeccable execution made the entire process as easy and efficient as possible. Not only did she precisely execute my own hair - which flawlessly withstood 60 km wind gusts - she also envisioned and crafted breathtaking styles for 2 attendants who simply did not know what to do with their look. When one showed up with wet hair, she effortlessly shifted gears to accommodate the scheduling changes needed to address it. Even though that would be enough for me to leave a glowing review, it doesn't begin to fully express all the crucial details she took charge of and made work perfectly. She offered advice on scheduling, logistics, and even steamed my dress when it looked like it might need some attention. I felt so completely taken care of, and utterly confident in her expertise. You simply cannot do better than to book with Mountain Beauties! Thank you so much for everything!!

I booked hair and makeup services for my elopement in Banff. As soon as my team arrived to my hotel, they got straight to work. I could not be happier with the end result, it was everything I wanted and lasted all day. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Banff/Canmore area needing professional makeup and hair for any occasion. They are simply amazing!!!!

I was excited to have my hair and makeup done by them for my wedding May 26, 2021as their work looked so good. With covid restrictions they were unable to provide services in Canmore but informed me I could have services done in Kananaskis or reschedule. We wanted to keep our original date and I messaged the owner that I would love to move services to Kananaskis. My wedding was 5 days away. I did not get a response and I still haven't, despite bring already married over a week now! Unprofessional, lack of communication, no accountability. I do not recommend.

I highly recommend Mountain Beauties! Joanne was very professional and easy to communicate with, and accommodated me last minute for my wedding. I had Andrea for makeup services and she was professional, on time and incredibly talented. I was so happy with my makeup for the day, and so were my sisters and mom! The makeup photographed beautifully but still looked like me.

We had Joanne, the owner, doing our hair and Cecilia doing our makeup for 4 of us, plus hair for our little flower girl for our July 11th, 2021 wedding. These ladies were SUCH a joy to be around and a great fit for our group!! If you're ready to laugh, girl gossip and actually enjoy the morning of your wedding, go with them. The quality of their work was also spectacular. My hair and makeup still looked perfect by the end of the night after some wind during the day and lots of dancing, and I got a ton of compliments on the work. But what drove it home for me was the fact that I did not book hair and makeup for my mother, as she really just wanted to "do it herself" because she's never really had her hair and makeup done. She was too worrried about not having control over what it would look like and not looking like herself. After seeing us, my mom decided it would have been nice to get a little done. Both Cecelia and Joanne then did a quick face and hair for my mom, complimentary, and assured us it was no problem. I couldn't believe it. We were so incredibly thankful that they would do that and it made the day all the more special for us for my mom to feel so good too. THANK YOU again. I highly recommend!!

Our oldest daughter had a destination wedding to Banff in November 2019. The morning of the wedding we had white out conditions. These gals not only arrived on time but arrived happy, smiling and ready to go. Myself and both my girls got the works. I have never had a professional make over and must say I was a little nervous that I may not look like myself. Oh my goodness mountain beauties did an amazing job. I felt wonderful and both my girls were absolutely beautiful On top of the great job both the ladies did. They were so fun and calming. Mountain Beauties did my hair and makeup, as well as my bridesmaids hair and makeup for my wedding this past September. Joanne did the hair, and Nadine took care of the makeup, and we also had an assistant Riley in order to expedite the process. I highly recommend Mountain Beauties as the top tier hair and makeup specialists in the Canmore/Banff area. They are truly passionate about their work, and stand behind it 100%. I did a hair and makeup trial in June (FYI - they do trials on Sundays only at a Salon in Canmore, so I recommend booking well in advance to be sure you can get in). The trial was pricey, BUT they each did 3 looks for hair and 3 looks for makeup to give you multiple options to choose from for your big day. Much easier than just going for one look and hoping it is what you wanted in the end. The morning of the wedding the girls arrived at my home in Canmore and got right to it. My bridesmaids were able to just show a few ideas they had from pinterest, and Joanne was amazing and making their ideas work with their varying types of hair (think everything from fine and straight to VERY long, thick, anc curly), and everyone's faces looked flawless ALL. DAY. LONG. All styles held up well! They also guarantee your style and will come back and fix it if it doesn't hold up (which I don't think you would need). I was so so pleased.
