Not much care went into my hair cut. I have a bob with a bit of layering & just needed 2"s shorter to clean it up a bit. Its been 4 weeks since the cut & still finding hairs 2"s longer than the length and when I hold my head level one side is off by an inch. Friends & family have told me its noticeably uneven. I don't go back because I don't even live in Kingston & if I did live in Kingston I still wouldn't go back...I gave the guy a good tip too. ????

Got some good recommendations about this. Walked in and since it was busy, I got an appointment with Dwight in half hour. He was very knowledgeable and so do others in the store seem. Extremely casual people and they know what is young people need eg. fades and other cuts. He always gave me suggestions to grow my hair and I got a haircut exactly like what I wanted. Not going to any other store in town. Price is reasonable too. 5/5

Super disappointed. I'm new to Kingston and the reviews for this place were great, but I am really unhappy with my hair. The stylist did not take the time to listen to what I wanted, I asked for layers and volume, and ended up with very straight and flat hair.

Terrible experience. My hair dresser was more into gossiping with the other stylist then she was into doing my hair. After she was done I told her I was unhappy with the finish product and she even admitted "it wasn't her best work" and told me she would fix it on a later date. When I called to rebook I would never get her and they told me to try to contact her elsewhere. I did message her on her Facebook hair page and she blocked me. The only nice thing I can say is that the salon was nice and clean.

I was recommended to this business. I tried phoning but was advised that voice mail was not set up and, of course, no one answered the phone. So I tried to register as a new customer but was disconcerted to note that I was required to share my date of birth. What has that got to do with getting a hair cut? I found this to be intrusive and offensive. I typed in my name, phone number etc than saw a message that I would be sent a SMS code. What a palaver just to get a hair appointment. Anyway I retrieved thee code and entered it in as required but kept getting a message that I had to check the SMS code again. Who has time for all this rigmarole? I could probably get in to the FBI computer easier than get a hair appointment.

Incredible place all and all. Gustavo and Tanya really know how to work a successful business. They have superb customer service — on top of being incredibly welcoming and fun. Always with some nice Spanish/pop/modern music, makes it a fun place to spend an hour or two. I’ve had my hair done by Calista, Jamie and Jess, Tanya and Gustavo. All have been amazing. It is a good hair salon but I guess because they are good so they do not care at all. Because “people will still come to me no matter what”. They need to work on their bookings better. Can’t just say see you then and later can’t take you anymore because they messed up the timing. Basically she told me what time and I got it written down right away when she said the time spot. Then when I was a couple mins late and called her, she said she couldn’t take me anymore because she wrote my appointment was an hour earlier. Pfffffff

I live in Mississauga, and only get my hair cut when I go to Kingston to visit my family. For me, there is no match to the family-like feeling you get from the staff which, when paired with their extraordinary talents and the fresh/modern feeling of the space, makes for a very comfortable and satisfying experience ... and I always leave looking great! My only suggestion is that Gustavo and Tania start an academy which strives to pass on these great traits to up-and-coming stylists, as we could certainly do with more of them. Cheers!

I got some blonde highlights recently and my experience was so-so. The hairdresser did not wash or condition my hair after rinsing out the toner. Then proceeded to brush my hair very vigorously. The highlights turned out nicely but I am not sure if I will be going back.

I went from a dirty strawberry blonde to a silver grey thanks to Amana! What an amazingly big place from the outside. Big on atmosphere, friendliness, quality and respect. They listen to what you want to do respect what you like and your routine! Amazing place and affordable after being quoted almost 300 from another salon these guys first won me over with price and affordability. Once the experience was over they won me over with their kindness, I will be coming back for sure! By far the best place I’ve gone in Kingston!
