Fresh looking salon. Friendly staff. I have been going to Laurie for more years than I care to mention. She knows exactly what is best for you and listens to how you want your hair cut. She is always challenging her staff to keep up with the latest trends and encouraging them to take courses to keep on top of things. Convenient salon with lots of parking close by right outside the upper door of the Bay at Cataraqui Mall. Hair cuts are very personal and you need to trust your stylist that they know what they are doing. You will not be disappointed with any stylist at Brushez

Of course I will be biased as I worked here.... but I will say after doing hair for 18 years this was the best Environment that I have ever worked in and that in itself should speak volumes!!!!!! Hated having to leave.. This is the best group of women who not only work well together they will absolutely take care of you and all of your hair care needs.... cut, colour, ombré, balayage, perm, fades you name it!!!! Loved everything about this salon, this was my first visit and I was nervous. The covid precautions were excellent and explained throughout. Laurie did a wonderful job with my cut and colour and I found out afterwards that she is the owner of the salon. I plan on returning.

Went to brushez today to get the ends of my hair blue and it turned out even better than I expected! The hairdressers are so nice and they always try really hard to make your hair look amazing no matter how long it takes! I love Brushez. Lena is my hair stylist, and she knows exactly what I like, how I like it, and always fits me in, accommodates me, and makes me feel like a princess! Tonight she fit me in with a cancelation and I came rushing in, and she stayed late past close for me. Gave me the full treatment and we talked and talked and talked. It was so awesome. Brushez also did my wedding party in September 2019, and all the stylists were amazing. I was so pleased with the timing, the professionalism, and care we received. I've followed them from over in the mall when they first were open, called a different name then when brushez was evolved at Hudson Bay to their new location! I am a huge brushez fan. I’m so embarrassed of the cut I received yesterday. I even provided a photo of what I wanted (a straight Bob with a bit of layering) and what I received was a literal helmet. It’s horrendous and my self-esteem has never been lower in my entire life. I left holding back tears and cried in the parking lot afterwards. I can’t afford extensions and there’s no way I can style it to make it work.

I have been going to see Laurie for longer then a decant. She has always done an amazing job & made me feel great & beautiful!! I have tried a few others over the years, but didn’t like the atmosphere, color or cut. Laurie does what I want & always have great talks. I followed her to her new shop & refuse to ever go anywhere else. Also my 15 yr old son will only go to Laurie or any staff at Brushez. I always took him to the cheaper salons, figured it’s just a simple boy cut, but after several very disappointing & upsetting haircuts the few extra dollars is well worth it.

I walked in and told them what I wanted, which although not complex, can be difficult for many. She gave me what I wanted, not what she wanted which is what I find awful about all these "high end" salons. This place was great, will definitely go back. Everyone was very friendly.
