This is the only place I trust to go for my hair! The staff there makes you feel at home which is really hard to find in a salon! Every time I go there I leave happy and shocked at how amazing of a job they do! I went yesterday with my short choppy brown hair and a bag of bright blonde hair extensions and left with the most beautiful ombre hair I could have imagined. Merri is a miracle worker when it comes to hair. She goes above and beyond to make sure you leave happy and feeling beautiful!Trust me you won’t be disappointed going there! 10/10 for customer service and quality!! :)

July 5,2019 had my hair appointment with Esther, found by doing Google search for top hair salons in Winnipeg as I have just moved here from BC. Cannot say enough amazing things about Esther and the salon, I was in there for a while but came out with exactly what I wanted. She hit the nail on the head she knew exactly what I wanted plus stayed on my budget which I am grateful for. I have my beautiful healthy hair back after a blowing over $400 in the last year going to the worst hair salons in Wpg and Victoria, from overbleaching & botched ballayge jobs. Esther did a cut and color correction, knows exactly what she's doing as I didn't have a clue what color to use for my brunette locks. Noticed the other clients in the salon were also getting amazing hair services coming out with beautiful, sexy hair, friendly and definitely over 40's clientele..I HIGHLY recommend Ambience hair studio! Finally I found a capable stylist! Thank you Esther!

Now, I rank getting my hair done about on the same level as going to the dentist, but Becky did a lovely job cutting my hair, figuring out what I wanted done from my vague description, and not only that, but my hair has never hung so nicely. Most haircuts I've got have just made my hair shorter, but her work made my hair more cooperative, more attractive, lighter weight though still long, and somehow tamed its wild frizz! I've never had my hair this nice before, I'd happily go back. The location is nice, a good downtown location and easy to find. Also looks like the place to go for hair extensions. While I was getting my hair done there were multiple ladies who came in to get sew ins and as far as I could tell, the stylist doing them knew her stuff; they left looking great too. I didn't actually think it was possible to make my hair look nice but somehow she managed it. :D Great job.

Esther did a great job with my hair! Although a few days I to my haircut I decided it was just a bit too long for me, when I called to see if they would fix it, they were happy to help!! Will definitely be coming back to Ambience!!

I've been going here for years. I have gotten my hair colored (multiple times and colors from blonde, to red, to purple) and purchased extensions through them that they dyed to match (flawless). I've had my hair styled for my own wedding and wedding parties I've been in since. 10/10 recommend.

They are really good with type 4 hair. I'm very happy with my experience today. I have recently become too busy to handle my hair but I felt like I could trust them to help me manage it. This is one of the best salons I have ever been to in all the years I have been getting my hair done. All the staff are very professional, punctual, friendly, and pay attention to detail. They have been with me through all my major life journeys and have been very helpful with making my hair look set for any and all occasions. Out of all places I’ve gotten my hair done this was the only time I cried my eyes out in the chair. made me insecure for months because I couldn’t even tie my hair in a low pony tail I had to clip it until it grew out. Esther did my hair... after I told her she cut it waaaaayy too short she bailed and started working on someone else’s hair while I sat in the chair crying because I was upset. The manager was sweet to me but Esther didn’t apologize and acted like nothing happened and that she didn’t mess up my hair. It bothers me because it was very tacky of her not to say anything. My hair is a huge part to feeling beautiful everyday and it took a long time for me to love my hair again. (This happened in late April of 2021) so it’s been months now but I can finally tie it up. I wish I could of had a better experience :(

i’ve never been a person to be ‘loyal’ to one salon, but after my appointment with esther that’s gonna change for sure. i was in the salon for 5 hours and paid less than $200 to go from dark brown to highlighter green. in love with the environment and everyone was super kind. in love with how my hair turned out <3

On 29 Oct my friend and I were blessed to have two very talented hair stylist (Esther and Merri) work their magic for a gala event we were attending. As we are from out of town, I googled hair studio closet to the hotel we were staying in. To our fortune, Ambience Hair Studio was not only close by but had the best hours. The service was amazing. I have very thick, long and difficult hair to manage on a good day and Esther was not only the fastest stylist to complete my up-do but probably is now one of my favourite styles. The same can be said about Merri. From my perspective, my friends are was not only gorgeous it was done amazingly fast. If you are out of town, or in town, we both highly recommend Ambience Hair Studio....thanks again ladies!!!

Got a keratin treatment with Merri. She was so welcoming, kind, professional, and experienced! I have insanely dry, curly hair but with the treatment I can air dry my hair and it'll shiny, soft, and straight. Highly recommend this salon because of their knowledge and experience with all hair types!
