A year and 4 months later, I am STILL struggling to regrow my hair back to what it was after this salon destroyed my nice HEALTHY hair 2 weeks before my wedding (August 2017)!! I understand that the past is the past and build bridges and move on but this experience really damaged me and I am STILL struggling from hair loss and damage a year and a half almost later!! I wasn't going to share this, but many friends have convinced me that I shouldn't have to live with this without sharing what happened to me!! I am a young mom of 4 kids, I DON'T do salons, I never treat myself, because I can't afford to. Someone suggested I do my hair before my wedding so I decided to go to this salon as I was gifted a GC for a hair style (which I never even got to use because come time for my wedding my hair had all crumbled away and there was nothing to style). It took me 4-5 year to get my hair to a medium/comfortable length and this salon fried it all off in a matter of hours. I heard the girl that was doing my hair whispering to the owner behind the privacy screen and I am pretty sure I heard her say that she forgot to put something in to prevent the damage, I felt like something was off just by her disposition. Meanwhile hours later I was still charged and sent home with such damaged hair that it was even crumbling in the chair when she was blow drying it! I was there for a total of 6 hours, paid over $200 and left with severely damaged hair. I have had many profession hair stylists look at my hair since this experience and they all were sick at how damaged my hair is even to this day! They told me that even my new growth was coming in damaged. ???? The owner put tape in extensions for me to try to make up for it, but they were SO itchy I had to have them removed that night, as my skin broke out in a rash and she only put them on the sides and front of my face so I had big thick hair around my face and was thin and.. balding.. in the back!! After all of this and speaking to other hair stylists I decided not to return to this salon for a 3rd attempt. I am hoping by sharing this I can save someone else from having the same thing happen to them! ???? I am so embarrassed I want to walk around in a hat 24/7 but I know I can't because it won't help heal the damage they have caused! ???? I have uploaded photo's as those speak louder than words. I've been going to Secret Hair Affair for years for a huge variety of hair cuts - long, short, curly and straight. I've always been happy with the result. Last visit Sharleen gave me a Keratin treatment to straighten my crazy hair. I absolutely loved the results and will definitely be back to have it again. I was beyond disappointed with the turn out of my nearly 6 hour visit with Secret Affair. I will NEVER recommend this salon to anyone in the Okanagan! Not only did she not complete what I had asked for but the amount I was charged was unreasonable ! Thankfully, I did find a salon and she fixed thier major muck up within two hours!! If you want to get ripped off and waste nearly a whole day, then I would strongly recommend going to see the lovely young lady. Ended up costing me hundreds of dollars and not to mention my hair was so damaged afterwards, that my new hairdresser almost cried!!! Way to break a girl's heart & my bank!!!????????????

I got a deva cut for my wavy/curly hair. Sharleen was very knowledgeable and gave me a wonderful cut that accentuates my curls. She was professional and had plenty of helpful tricks for curly hair and how to manage it.

I can't say enough about Sharlene and her salon Secret Hair Affair. I've been a loyal customer for more than ten years and have had a variety of treatments and styles from permanent straightening to amazing curls teased from my naturally curly hair. Sharlene is not only professional but a blast to chat with. I hesitate to recommend her only because I don't want her to get so busy that I can't get in. Highly recommend!!!

I watched a young woman have the most embarrassing, mortifying experience at this salon and for nothing. I was part of a group of models who were receiving hairstyles for a bridal expo this past Sunday. Not only was one styles in particular being quite rude to many of the girls by saying uncalled for comments about their appearance and hair, but she went as far as telling one of the younger models that she had lice and was unable to do her hair. Not only did the model NOT have lice as she was checked by a professional and 2 other hair dressers after the fact, but she was caused unneeded stress and anxiety by almost being pulled from the show and being embarrassed in front of her peers. Myself and many other models were appalled and angry and will not be returning to this salon.

It was my first time going here and I had a wonderful experience. Andrina was my stylist and I'm so happy with my entire experience at this salon. I had my hair professionally bleached a year and a half ago at a different salon and the ends just never recovered no matter what I tried. I knew coming in there was a good chance I'd have to cut off more than I wanted. Andrina gave it to me strait there was no saving my ends and chopped off what needed to go. She gave me such a beautiful haircut and I got a deep conditioning treatment that was very much needed. I recieved lots of good tips and felt comfortable the entire time. My hair feels amazing I'll definitely be coming back.
