my experience was unstatisfactory specifically with the owner. not only do they overcharge for their organic products I do not believe the owner understands what true customer service is. my hair is black asked for highlights and got a brassy orange colour. the next day I went back to ask about toner and he said he would have to charge me more for black to convert it back. I explained I was very unhappy and suggested a refund or credit for the poor service but was basically told I should've had said something that day. I'm not impressed and didn't want to stay another 2 hrs afte being there for already 4hrs. they charge extra 20 bucks for each service for every 5 inches of hair so essentially paid 40 bucks extra for colour highlights root touch up. also charge extra for products organic. there are many other hair salons that at least offered to compromise a result on my poor experience. salon is nice but experience is lacking. Language barrier and attitude of owner poor.

NJ is an extremely talented barber. My son has had his hair cut by NJ for several years now. His precision , fade and texturizing Make my son look & feel his best ! We are so excited NJ has opened his own shop and he is now the salon director of NJ's Organic Hair Salon near Sopa Square in Kelowna. The salon is cosy and modern , and gorgeously designed richly styled with wood, metal & concrete elements. It has a masculine and warm vibe. I love it ! The salon focuses on using only organic colour and products which is perfect for people who have raised awareness about product ingredients or sensitivities or have had health challenges including things like cancer in the past. I highly recommend booking a service & checking out the salon for yourself ! Congratulations NJ and team , what a great addition to Kelowna!

Messes up hair and forces people to sign paperwork to not share their bad experiences while leaving customers with bad hair and attacking them to get their "paperwork" back. Poor behaviour. Own to your mistakes

New salon just down the way, got a discount in the mail and had organic hair colour before so i was STOKED. April was an awesome receptionist and got me in in a day! Victoria was my hair stylist, personable, so fun to talk to and had some good laughs! She suggested I get my hair cut and styled and trusted her judgement. I LOVE my hair and it feels amazing with the organic hair colour. Thank you SO much NJ's hair salon for saving my hair and making me feel confident. 11/10 rating! (prices arent bad, best for organic hair colour and city living, you get what you pay for!!!) :)

Was pressed for time and no where in town was available for a walk in. NJ's took me right away. Walked in. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff super friendly. Had to get my short hair style cleaned up, and they did it exactly how I wanted it. The products they used were great with a cooling effect on the skin. Got a nice shampoo and a scalp and shoulder message too. And this was all for like $35. Best price in Kelowna. Not going anywhere else now. This is where I want to keep going.

We went in asking for them to dye the blonde in my hair back to a copper colour to match my roots. I was met with a very difficult language barrier that made it almost impossible to Communicate she was hard to understand and didn’t seem to get what we were asking for at all. She dyed my hair a green/ gray colour. A colour so far out of the ball park of what I wanted! It’s not even in the same colour spectrum! My hair felt crusty and was the wrong colour. She seemed to have no clue what she was doing. Very unhappy! Do not go to Soo Jin to get your hair coloured ! I had gone here acouple times before but will not be returning again!

NJ did a cut and colour for me and I love it. I was greeted by friendly staff and brought organic green tea, explained what I wanted to achieve, and he worked his magic. Also the most comfortable sink I’ve had my hair washed in and he gives a nice head massage ???? Thank you NJ!

Amazing experience after having my hair coloured, toned and cut by Bailey! I had a bad hair dye a few months ago and came to NJ’s to see what they could do. Bailey understood exactly what I wanted, a dye that was easy to maintain but still a nice beachy blonde. She did exactly that and was able to colour correct the previous dye and create a beautiful balayage. I have quite curly hair and she did an awesome job cutting it. The happiest I’ve ever been walking out of a salon. Thanks so much Bailey!!

Unhappy with my experience the second time at the salon, will not be returning for a third time. I had the same stylist both times. During the second visit, there was a breakdown in communication that left me with about a 1/3 of the long hair I had before. Afterwards, I told the stylist my concerns but his solutions for fixing the problem basically involved going even shorter - no thanks, I've moved on to taking hair growth pills and crying. I felt like I was blamed for how the haircut turned out (awkward, since I'm not the professional in this situation - please tell me BEFORE you pick up the scissors if you think something won't work out).

This was my second visit and I have been very impressed with both the company and stylist. After having been to many other places over the years, I can confidently say this is by far the best one I have experienced. I never felt like I was being rushed as just another number. The whole atmosphere, and experience was very relaxing. I was really worried to go to any salon, because not a lot people know how to deal with curly hair but Victoria knew so much! I've started to restore my curly hair and she helped me learn a lot, like How to take care of my hair and my hair type, I got a fairly short cut a change from my long hair and I wasn't worried a bit! Victoria really helped me, im really happy with my haircut and style! I had fun chatting as well! Awesome place I recommend! I'll be coming there from now on ! My first time where I didnt think how long will it take to grow back( as well my appointment was at 12.30 and we came a couple minutes early thinking we'd wait for a bit but got service right away! I started seeing Victoria Skelton at NJ's in September when I moved to Kelowna from Vancouver. She's absolutely brilliant! Not only do I love that the salon uses more natural products (so I don't feel high off chemicals after my appointment), but my hair colour is finally what I've been striving for for ages. Other stylists in Vancouver told me that my hair couldn't go the shade of red I was after. But when I explained what I wanted to Victoria she did a bit of research and came back with some ideas. She was clear that there were no guarantees and that different hair can react to die differently though we would likely at least get nearer what I was after if not exactly it. As luck would have it the combination of Victoria's skill and my rather cooperative hair, I ended up with pretty much exactly the kind of natural looking copper/ginger I was after. In addition to all that, Victoria's genuinely a lovely person. I don't feel pressure to gossip as I do with many other stylists. The conversation is genuine and easy. I can't recommend Victoria and NJ's Salon enough!
