I have been going to Mod Salon for years. A couple of years ago I moved away from Kelowna — I have still never gone anywhere else. I go to Kelowna to get my hair done now even if I’m about 7 hours away. Jess has been my stylist for all of those years and I’m very loyal to her (for good reason). She’s an incredible colorist and stylist! Highly recommend!

I've been a Mod Salon client since they were in their location in downtown Kelowna. I started to see Tessa at Mod Style Bar when they opened and I just had my hair done again over the weekend and I couldn't be happier! The salon itself it beautiful and everyone that works their is friendly, polite, and welcoming. Tessa does a wonderful job with my colour and cut and she has helped me get my hair back to being healthy after years of never having it cut, coloured, or styled. I definitely recommend Mod Salon and Style Bar to everyone!

She talked me through everything so I knew what to expect the whole way through. Mod salon on Lakeshore were professional, stylish and had such a fun vibe from the staff there. The staff and vibe at Mod are absolutely wonderful! I’ve been seeing Dusty regularly for over a year now and she is always so pleasant, kind, and informative and she just nails my hair every time! I don’t know how she does it, but it always gets better and better and far exceeds my expectations! Craig is a delight and so friendly. You can tell the staff are happy to work at Mod and they offer a professional, trend-setting, comfortable atmosphere and approach to hair and beauty. Once again another great hair cur from Mod! Went to the new location because they're open on Saturdays. Kaden's awesome at his job. He listened to what I wanted, was fast but still payed attention to detail. I hate sitting in the chair for long. Rose sparkling wine was delicious. The lakeshore building is beautiful as well. What a great job!

I saw the one and only Tabs today at Mod Style Bar. She took my 10-year over processed dark brown hair to a beautiful "bronde" in ONE session. Yes ladies that is right... one fun, relaxing and beautiful hair day. Not only did Tabs remarkably achieve a beautiful color with impeccable dimension, but she also maintained the length, integrity, and health of my hair. The products at Mod are like none-other. They make our hair and our planet beautiful. Win-win!! A day at Mod Style Bar is a taste of pure luxury! It is the most perfect escape. The space is absolutly breathtaking! It is a beautiful balance of femininity and flare. You are served complimentary sparkling or flat water with fruit infused ice cubes. You can also enjoy a little bubbly or a crafted cocktail. I can not recommend Tabs and her team enough. She'll take you from drab to fab, achieving the most challenging transformation with ease.

Stack on the talented staff who seem to always be learning new techniques. Need I say more. Mod has set the bar rather high for other salons. I do not work for the salon nor do I post reviews often. Just felt this needed to be shared!

Tabatha has put so much thought into the NEW Mod Style Bar, its stunning! Ok so I left Mod Salon after seeing Kirsten my stylist yesterday where do I begin... I came to Kirsten in July after moving to Kelowna. To say my hair was a mess is an understatement. Us girls know how challenging it is to find your “person” especially us girls with long blonde hair Kirsten confidentially told me don’t worry we can fix this and to my surprise (as I had to go to my last stylist every 5-6 weeks)she said you won’t have to come as often, minimum she wanted me to wait 8 weeks between appointments. I fought her a bit on this but she assured me my hair would look better than I’d expected. I also told her the products I was using to try to make my hair look somewhat healthy ( over 12 different products! No joke!) Kirsten said you don’t need all of that brought me down to less than half that. Would’ve been even less but I liked the smell of some things she used so I bought them. It is now the end of November well Kirsten was true to her word. My hair hadn’t grown in years, well let me clarify I’d get roots but no length. My hair was so thin you could see through it. My hair is not only longer now but thick, shiny, healthy for the first time in what feels like forever! And my colour grows out beautifully! While you sit in Kirsten’s chair her focus is on you, she is one of the kindest sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She makes you feel safe in her capable hands, she engages in effortless conversation, like talking to an old friend. She pampers you, I could go on but you get the idea. I am so grateful to have found “‘my person” thank you Kirsten for making me look and feel beautiful. ???? Oh and a shout-out too the rest of the staff at Mod Salon ( Lakeshore) Craig and all the girls ( I don’t remember all of their names yet) are always friendly, genuine and helpful.

The salon is beautiful and front desk was pleasant... that’s about the only nice things I can say... Stylist skills and attitude made my first experience there an uncomfortable one. She acted bored and didn’t tell me about any of the products she was using. I brought a picture of an angled bob and after the third time cutting I still didn’t get what I asked for...she blamed it on my hair’s “ curl” pattern... if it wasn’t the right cut for me I would have appreciated guidance or a suggestion of some sort. I was really looking forward to find a new stylist in Kelowna I could stick with and have fresh new style to go with it.. and instead I am feeling nothing but regret..
