I've been getting my hair done by Loyal at Loyal Hair Therapy for the last 3 years slowly bringing me back from black to blonde. I love how you get treated the minute you walk through the door and adore his team. I know go for a weekly blow-out at the new location Loyal2 which is set up for lashes (AMAZING) by Tana and a blow out bar for the girl on the go! I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for the best.

Excellent experience here. We had a slight hiccup in the booking process, which is why it is not receiving 5 stars. We booked online, and the e-mailed confirmation indicated the location of the hair salon to be the prior location (off Harvey) so we were very late to the appointment. Fortunately once we arrived it was all smoothe sailing. The young girl who cut our Daughter's hair (I forget her name, and I misplaced her card :/ ) was amazing. She didn't seem frazzled that she was pressed for time. She did a thorough job, and was patient and fun for our 8 year old the whole time. I will likely be giving them a shot for my business after re-locating here, and looking for a new Hairdresser.

I am always greeted with a smile and sat down with a wonderful cup of Chai Baba loose tea. I love hearing about how well trained the staff are and about all the continuous workshops, professional development and internships that Loyal requires for his staff to complete on an ongoing basis. He's a salon owner that cares greatly for his staff and his clients by providing us with the highest quality of service and products. I was elated to experience the new studio downtown on St Pauls Ave. It was a great representation of Loyal and the distinctly trend setting vision he has. I was in town for a business meeting got referred to go. I just wanted a blow out. I booked online, the price was around$40. I left a note to call me in the morning as I did have extentions and to confirm with me. Never got the call, but did get the call they were behind and to come 15 min later. When the owner walked in I got one of his many bags bumped into my face as he came racing in and his poor dog dragging along. Chloe was nice but seemed aggravated. Hair blow out was subpar and got charged$65 . I'll do it myself next time. Curl held as long as mine did on my own.

Worst Experience Ever! I was traveling in Kelowna and in need of a cut and color. I booked an appointment with short notice so I probably should have expected what I got. The color was good but this was by far the worst hair cut I have ever experienced! The stylist was obviously inexperienced at cutting hair like mine, although she said that she had worked with my texture before and knew the usual pitfalls. I presented the stylist with a photo and we discussed how long I wanted it kept. However, what I ended up with essentially looks like a bowl cut! And what’s worse is that because she cut it 2-3inches shorter than what I wanted, it’s now too short for me to even contemplate getting it fixed. To top it off they had the nerve to charge me nearly $300.00 for the pleasure. Avoid at all costs!

I love this place! I have been getting my hair done at this salon for several years. The entire staff are friendly, they explain the products that they use in my hair and why they’ve selected those specific products. They do regular training so I know they are using the most current products and are up to date on preset trends. I also appreciate that they are eco friendly and ensure minimal waste in their salon and the products they use and sell. I always love how my hair looks and feels when I walk out the door. Highly recommend

She asked good questions so she understood exactly what hairstyle I expected to have when I left and she delivered! Samantha is an amazing stylist. I wake up in the morning and my hair looks great ... No blow-drying, straightening or curling required .. the cut does it all. Feb 2021 update. I once again had an incredible hair cut from Samantha. Loyal Hair is so convenient with free parking outside the front door. They really take COVID safety seriously with sanitation, masks, plastic barriers between chairs, etc, etc. Samantha asks exactly what I want and also gives her opinion when I ask for it. A perfect haircut again, and it has lasted almost 8 weeks and still looks fresh. And I can't forget the amazing head massage when she washes and conditions my hair. Thank you Samantha!!!

He also walked me through important hair care stuff so that it wouldn't fade and his advice has really worked! 10/10 would dye again lol.

I have been going to Loyal Hair Therapy for over five years and have always walked out with a smile on my face and a great hair cut and style. While I do know the owner and Team personally and while I may also be somewhat biased, I understand at a deep level how much dedication, professional training and passion the team at Loyal Hair Therapy puts into making their clients look and feel beautiful, both inside and out. Their attention to detail and expertise is above many other salons and chair rentals. All new staff are required to undertake an apprenticeship program over the first year with direct training from Loyal and Colin, L'Oreal professionals and hair experts in the industry. Many people don't realize that salons and esthetic studios are not regulated in the province of BC and thus are not required to meet certain standards for quality and health. In many other places including in Quebec, Europe and throughout the United States, salons are regulated by government to ensure these standards are adhered to, but unfortunately this does not happen in many BC salons. Knowing this, I would only choose to go to a salon that I know follows these out of province guidelines. Thus, I'm pleased to continue supporting Loyal Hair Therapy team for their pursuit of excellence and dedication to providing a great customer experience.

Just had my first experience with Loyal - getting first time lashes and a hair cut/color, and I will definitely be back. The eyelashes turned out AMAZING!! Tanna is excellent at what she does and is super cool to boot - highly recommend. Over the years I have had some good experiences in hair salons. Today I had a GREAT experience. I arrived with a horrible botched hair colour that I had been hiding under various hats for multiple days. I was given options that left me feeling like this disaster I created could be fixed all the while keeping within my budget. I called the day before booking my appointment to clarify what the prices are for each stylist, I explained I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on a cut. The lady at the front desk told me Kadan, Loyal and Colin are all top tier and the rest of the ladies are a lower tier. Online it shows their prices range from 55-75 dollars. I ended up booking with a lady on the lower tier but somehow I still ended up having to pay 75$ before taxes. Overall I am happy with the haircut but I wish they were honest about pricing from the start.

A little disappointed with my experience here. Went in for a haircut, the girl was really nice and did a good job. However was surprised by the price I paid. They charge a “covid” fee, they don’t tell you until you pay and the stylist I was with charges 75 for a haircut. On the website it states they start at 55 and vary, however I online booked and had no clue her cuts cost more, they don’t list this on the website and they should list what individual charge or tell you before they start the appointment. I’ve had stylists sit with me before they start and tell me the price and that’s always the best way to do it. I don’t mind paying good money for great services, but the overall experience was not worth the price I paid. I also emailed to ask about the charges and it was not a very friendly email I received back. Apparently I’m supposed to know she was a “level 3 “ stylist.

Very unpleased with my experience. I went to Loyal 2 and I went in to correct damage but I came out with more! I have wavy/curly hair and if you don't brush it correctly it knots and rips out. Well even though I told the stylist multiple times she had to be gentle she ignored my words and proceeded to rip out an extensive amount of hair and now my ends are mangled, my hair is significantly shorter, and thinner - all from her brushing it! I was holding back tears from the pain since her brushing was so aggressive. On top of all that I wanted my hair dyed medium brown, and it's black! I will not be retuning. I gave clear, specific instructions which were completely disregarded. The staff are also unprofessional and gossip with you right in the chair!
