I'm a fairly new client and I've seen Dani about 3 times. Her work is great & definitely deserves a 5/5 rating. She cuts mens hair very well for a good price. Two weeks ago at this point I got a haircut and it turned out good! But I realized a few days later I wanted the back fixed because some hair stuck out. So a few days later I called the salon back and I told them I just wanted a touch up from Dani. When I spoke to the woman on the phone she said Dani was away on holiday and wouldn't around until the new year. So I asked if I could get a touch up from someone else. She said yeah I could get a "trim up" from someone else. I asked for clarity if it was going to cost me anything and she said it'll cost me full price. I told her other salons offer touch ups for free within the first week of a cut and she told me I should just grow my hair back out and come back later. wow. Honestly that left me disappointed because I like Defy, and Dani is personable and easy to get along with. The service this time left me feeling let down and I don't think I'm going to come back. - Deepak

The only salon that I go to. Staff is always friendly and they have so many services to offer. I am always happy when I leave! My hair is always done perfect same with my nails. I have had a pedicure and it was amazing! They even have laser hair removal and piercing! I always find new things to try while I am there. I always recommend friends and people I meet to go there and always get compliments for my nails and hair thank you Defy! ????

So Defy is the reason why I started a google account as I wanted to RAV about Dani - I have struggled with overpriced hair cuts/dye and have hated every one of them...proof in this is when I saw Dani Nov 28 2020 I had not had a haircut since last year September long weekend and it cost me over $300 and I hated it... Dani was knowledgeable, soooo honest and worked with my grey. She understood that I am only in my 30's and do not want to look old/grey but wanted to work with my grey/play with it... She accommodated everything soft ended my grey to a peekaboo ash blonde ( As I have a odd grey skunk line in the middle of my head) darkened my hair to match my roots so that I could let it grow out and provide time in between hair colors, she understood everything I wanted and I am very happy --- The price point was a little high BUT i know this was because of the dye damage and amount of hair I had but she has promised that after this color correction I will be able to maintain a more reasonable budget and I can honestly say I will be going back 1) to have my hair done as I love it and 2) because I would love to be able to maintain my hair within my budget.

I was worried about going to a new salon in Kelowna, especially since Defy's prices are lower than other places in the city. But it was such a good experience! Dani was very thorough in highlighting my hair, but also finished quite quickly! She did an excellent job dying my hair and asked questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted. She is a talented stylist and a good conversationist. I will be going back to Defy and would highly recommend to anyone!
