I will definitely give it a 2 star because i tried a blow dry with 3 hair stylists there and i didn't like it .. no one is actually formed to blow dry a thick hair without burning it .. if you are going to straighten my hair with a flat iron until it burns then i can just do it myself in the house . You should practise to straighten a thick with just a brush and a profesional dryer !!!

We brought our 2 year son in for his first haircut. We asked parents in our neighbourhood where to go and they said go to make an appointment at Bogie and Becall with Nicholas. At first meeting him you could tell he took great pride and cared about making my sons first cut a pleasant experience. It was refreshing to see his professionalism and love for his job. My family will be going to him for the rest of all our further haircuts, thank for a great day.

I booked 2 appointments for the same time slot with two stylists, Kailey & Daphne, for my daughter and me on a Thursday afternoon. We were 9 minutes late. The receptionist went to the back to tell the stylists we were there for our appointments. She was gone 5 minutes. I thought it odd that it was taking her so long but never expected her response when she returned. They wouldn’t take us. They’d booked us for 45 minute appts—we were 9 minutes late. Are you kidding? We just wanted a cut. Skip the styling if you must, but to just refuse to take us? Ridiculously pretentious. Will never go back. Too bad because we’ve been going to Bogie & Bacall for many years. We drove in from Lake Country for that. Ugh.

Love it! Been looking for awhile for a good hair cut in Kelowna. I have been going to see Tracy for two years now, that's it found the one. I'll be getting my haircut there until she leaves. The shop is clean. People are friendly. I like the location in the mall. Booking is easy over the phone and you get a reminder phone call which I like.

I've been visiting Shelby for a number of years now after a chance drop in when another salon let me down. I sincerely look forward to my visits where I can relax, know I'm in good hands and have a good catch up. Shelby is knowledgeable and comfortable to chat to about all my hair woes! I trusted her with my wedding hair, gave her little direction as I'm so indecisive, and she nailed it. My step-daughter now uses her and we couldn't recommend more. All of the staff are friendly & passionate about what they do and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great experience. At first the hair dresser didn't know how to cut my hair the way I wanted and had never cut that style before so instead of not doing it she got help from other hair dressers and cut it perfectly. It took a little longer then usual but I was giving free product to make up for it. I got great customer service, and the exact hair style I wanted. This company cares about their customers!

I have been here twice now and left very underwhelmed. I am sure there are great hairdressers that work there, but after booking in on a whim both times that was not my experience. This second time, I had a very inexperienced hairdresser who was supposed to give me an angled bob. When I wasn’t happy with the back of my hair she asked for help, which the advice was to thin out the back. So it was clear to me I wasn’t going to get what I asked for and basically I paid $50 for a trim, and a hairstyle that I came in with. Super disappointed and I won’t be back.

I visited this salon a handful of times to have my hair cut and each time it has not been up to par. To clarify I do wear human hair extensions to which salon stylists should be trained and have the necessary experience with extensions before taking on a client with said extensions to ensure that you'll be getting the best outcome. The stylist I had most recently seen clearly did not have this experience. I had asked for a layered cut and she flat out told me 'No, that won't work with your hair," and she made no attempt at all not even having touched my hair once. To proceed with the cut, settling for just a trim, I noticed that there were no sanitary jars at any stations as well as her tools were still filthy from her last client (having hair still on the scissors). I was in a rush for time so I went with it and was left with a mediocre cut that I wasn't satisfied with. Lesson learned, if you have a favourite stylist at a salon stick with them. It's hard to find someone that knows what you want and understands your style.

My mom and I both had incredible hair cuts with Daphne! I have very thick and difficult hair, and I have anxiety about going to new hairdressers as I’ve had many bad experiences with hairdressers not knowing how to deal with my hair and giving a bad cut, or worse, being annoyed and making me feel like a huge burden for it. But Daphne is just such an awesome person and she put all my anxiety at ease right away and she gave me an incredible cut that I needed so badly! My mom wasn’t even planning on getting a cut, but when she saw how amazing Daphne was, she got one too, and we’re both so happy. Thank you so much Daphne!

I went into the Salon and asked for someone who is experienced or good with grey hair. They assured me that they would. I made an appointment. The hair dresser I received was very inexperienced with hair cutting and had no idea what to do with grey. I normally wouldnt mind getting a rookie but I specifically asked for someone experienced with grey. She cut a little bit off of the bottom at the back but left my front and sides undone. I still need a hair cut, even though I paid 60 dollars with tip. Very disappointed. I will not go there again.

Worst hair cut of my life. I made a huge mistake and booked a last minute hair cut with Alex. I asked for a classic angled bob. Short in the back and long in the front. She left me two pieces of hair at the front that were chin length then chopped all the rest of my hair to one length 3 inches shorter than the front pieces. Not layered, not angled. She styled is super carefully and curled it when I left so I didn’t realize how short my hair was. There’s nothing I can do because my hair is so short everywhere except for the two small front pieces. Everyday I wake up and regret going to this place. Regret seeing Alex who obviously had no clue what she was doing. This is the worst hair cut I’ve ever had and I’m stuck with it for MONTHS. Save your money, save your sanity and go literally ANYWHERE else.

Like that they are open late to accommodate our busy schedule and the lady we had cutting my son's hair was gentle and great even without knowing he has autism so made the experience comfortable and fun from the start. I will definitely take my boys back there to get their haircuts, my nephew goes there and always leaves with temp color in his hair at no charge. Reasonable prices also.. just not a fan of the hair products they use but that's my opinion for my own hair I prefer Davines or bumble and bumble products over Joico or redken But again my personal opopinion

I’m sure there must be some stylists at Bogie and Bacall that are very good - but Daphne is NOT one of them. She gave me my worst haircut ever - complete with a horrendously arrogant attitude. She said her hair cut would be way better than what I had. Well her haircut has been a disaster - it has not worked once! I have had to wear a hat all summer to hide the cut. My previous cut (done in Vancouver) worked brilliantly every single day. Daphne cut my asymmetrical hair trim with only a razor- there will literally be two pieces of hair right beside each other - but an inch and half difference in length. Using a razor has also made my hair look very thin - which it normally isn’t. My hair should have a sweep to the side - she razored huge chunks out of it - it looks like I was attacked by a weed eater. Even though it is supposed to be an asymmetrical style - she parted it in the center when she cut it - not off to the side. So nothing works together and it just falls apart. I have worn a hat all summer and I am hoping my stylist in Vancouver can fix it! Lose the attitude Daphne and please acquire some skills!

Absolutely AWFUL experience. Rude staff who pretended to not understand my Arabic mother-in-law after canceling her daughter's appointment without notification. After rebooking, they continued to pretend they didn't understand her and did the wrong coloring to her daughter's hair. They also sent her out with still-wet hair. Would give 0 stars if we could.

Today I managed to get in for a walk in appointment. I haven't been to a hair salon in 3 maybe 4 years. My hair was severely damaged from not being trimmed, dying and bleaching it at home, and heat damage. I was so scared going in at how much hair I was going to loose. I have extremely thick and curly hair that was growing pretty long as I've been growing it out for years. Daphne did an amazing job and kept all the length she could and definitely brought my confidence back when it comes to my hair. I haven't worn it 100% down in months and today I confidently wore it down everywhere! I am incredibly happy with it and will be back for sure!
