I had my hair cut and coloured at 180 Degree Hair Studio shortly after moving from Langley to Kelowna. Normally I wouldn't have someone colour my hair on the first appointment, however, in my defense a stylist I knew in Langley recommended one stylist at this salon. The cut was alright but the colour was terrible. Not only was it brassy and under toned but the roots were crooked. For ex. One side of where the foil would be was somewhat near the roots and as you went down the foil it got farther and farther off the root. Also I had asked for a partial highlight and she did my entire head. I noticed this as she was going and she admitted afterwards that maybe she had done a few too many foils. So the terrible roots are all over my head. In addition, I have curly hair underneath and it was so bleached out that I couldn't even comb through it. When I showered or washed my hair it balled up into a knot. The stylist claimed to have 12 or 13 years experience but it was the worst colour I have had as an adult in my mid 30's. I paid for the service and debated having the colour corrected but decided that was much too risky. Instead I drove back to Langley and had my stylist try and correct it but I was there for 4 hours and of course had to pay for the service again. I normally wouldn't write a review but the salon did nothing to compensate me for the bad hair job and after discussions with other people and reviews of the other Google reviews, this wasn't the first time. I hope by leaving a review, this will save someone else.

This hair salon is by far the most interactive hair salon in Kelowna. The hair stylists there are all so friendly and my hair always looks perfect. They have a great hair product selection too for meeting both my hair and skin care needs! Definitely worth giving them a call!

I have been getting my hair done at 180 Degrees since 2008 - going for regular trims and drastic haircuts. At that time, I was constantly box dying my hair at home from dark brown to black to bright red. After I met their hairstylist Heather (as cliche as it sounds), everything changed! Yes, getting your hair dyed at a salon is much more expensive than dying it with box dye from Walmart. But you could never and WILL never get the same quality of colour with a box compared to a salon quality dye job. Heather had told me straight up that my hair was extremely damaged from the constant (and I mean CONSTANT) box dyes. She told me with regular haircuts and NO MORE BOX DYING, my hair would regain it's somewhat normal state. With her advice, the only times I would dye my hair would be at 180 Degrees with Heather - except for one last time. I was bored of my hair colour and my bank account of lacking, so I purchased some brown hair dye and it absolutely destroyed my hair. Brought me back to square one. After some time, last summer she had taken me from my fried, over processed hair to a beautiful ombre. We had cut off my hair to my shoulders and it felt better than ever - and it looked absolutely beautiful and healthy. Quite recently, the hair trend of 2015 looks like it's leaning towards those pastel and silver colours. Of course wanting it, I bleached my hair at home to save some money. My hair went orange so I toned it with Wella 118. Didn't work. Re-bleached it. It went yellow. So I made a DIY toner with Manic Panic Purple Haze and Fuchsia and conditioner. It turned pink, but the yellow/orange tones were masked away. I then booked a hair appointment with the one and only Heather to save my horrid, horrid hair game. Upon arrival, we discussed tones of silver, undertones and length. We cut my hair again to my shoulders and thanks to my pre-lightened hair, we began to bleach. We bleached my entire head using the highest volume developer and Olaplex! (Olaplex is AHMAZING). It saved my entire head of hair and not one strand of hair fell out in the process :) Using steps 1 and 2 of Olaplex, we bleached my hair then proceeded to dye it with Joico Colour Intensity in Titanium, we diluted it with Joico's "Clear". She also mixed in some purple dye to give it that nice undertone of lilac. After 4 hours it was complete! Sleek, shiny, smooth, silver and best of all NOT fried!! Heather is the most amazing hair stylist and colourist. She is unreal at what she does and I am very, very happy that she is my hair stylist (and she will be for a long time!) Julia, 19 - Kelowna

Finally decided to get my long hair cut, amid concerns as to how I would like it and manage it. Found a photo on the internet that looked similar to what I wanted except it was on wavy hair. I have straight hair - although I have always wished for a few waves, Heather not only gave me a medium length bob , her cut provided me with enough curls to hold the style . She even explained to me what she was doing to encourage the waves. LOVE iT! Best of all, today I washed my hair - first time since the cut --and low and behold, it was easy to manage and attain a "just out of the salon " look. Thanks Heather. !

I had an awful experience. They turned my hair orange. I was so upset. They didn't even offer to fix it or give my money back. Horrible customer service and horrible hair dresser. Would not recommend to anyone unless you want to risk a hair disaster. :(

I’ve been here before and it was great. This time I went my neck and my ear both got cut and drew blood. It was was basically just a buzz cut (fade) and it was $30 where before I had the same cut for $15. It was a male barber. Won’t be going back.

Got my haircut by Sarah yesterday and had a lovely experience. We chatted for a bit about what I was looking for - I have long think hair and get annoyed when it gets long as it gets heavy in the shower, and feels like a heavy mop on my head when I sweat from exercise. At the same time I love the length and wanted to add some layers around my face. After washing my hair she suggested taking an inch off and having me run my fingers through my hair to check how it feels. These check in happened throughout the haircut. I'm very happy with the results and will be back. Thank you Sarah!

Called today to book an appointment for a hair cut, I have been getting my hair cut here for 6 years, Today when I called I was told that I would need to remember the name of the stylist that cut my hair last time in order to book a appointment, when I told the girl I couldn't remember her name she said she couldn't book an appointment for me. WHAT? The last time I booked they just booked me with whoever was available, since my last stylist had quit, but not today. I have always posted good reviews for this salon but not now. So disappointing

Nice salon but despite their advertisement on the website, rather child unfriendly. The lady that did my 3 year old sons hair cut didn't introduce herself to him when she came to pick us up. Not a single smile was given and not a single word was uttered to my kid. When she suggested to me to have his hair washed, and me replying that my son dislikes his hair being washed (again, contrary to their website where they state they wouldn't do so cause it's scary), the lady seemed to have an issue with it. When I asked if she couldn't cut his hair otherwise she reluctantly said the water spray would do. When my son was sitting down, again not a word was uttered to him and while I tried to distract him she seemed irritated that I was standing in front of him. She then suddenly stopped cutting and stared at her finger. When I asked what was going on, since she didn't say a thing, she said she had cut herself. After grabbing a band aid (which is understandable of course), she continued to cut silently. No smile was offered when we departed.
