The crew at Changes is amazing, I am so glad I found my stylist as she's super awesome at what she does, as well as is super kind sweet person and makes it easy to chat the the time away. If you're looking for a new stylist I am sure they have the right fit for you, they take safety protocols serious and the quality of their work is worth taking the time to make a shout out!

I am new to the area, Your Escape Spa suggested Changes to me and I'm so happy for it!! I had been going to the same hairdresser for over 20 years in the Okanagan so this was a tough move for me. Kameron did an amazing job on my hair, took the time to listen to my requests and I am so happy with the outcome. I'll just start off by saying that I am the type of person who usually avoids salons due to my allergies and sensitive scalp. I've had bad experiences at other salons in the city but when a trusted coworker suggested I check out Changes I did! I was not disappointed. They started out with a relaxing scalp massage, served you whatever drink you wanted and the whole atmosphere of the salon was kind and energetic. You can tell the individuals who work here LOVE their job. The stylist that made my experience so great was Katelyn.I highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone! Very excited to have found this place.

As I'm taking some time to heal after my surgery just over two weeks ago, I have time to reflect on the many people who have gone above and beyond to help make this less stressful for me. I believe that I have been going to Changes Hair Studio since 2009 or 2010. Although I have had a couple different stylists I have been with Jen for the past 5 years I do believe. I can admit that I am probably a bit of a pain in the ass ????but have always been ????% satisfied. I do remember once a few years back that my colour wasn't what I expected, but I was honest, polite and was rebooked around my schedule which isn't the easiest thing to do. It was fixed and I still recommend Changes Hair Studio without hesitation. I walk in and someone is there to take my jacket and offer me a drink. Each hair appointment starts with a relaxation shoulder and head massage while sitting in their beautiful salon. Before I leave my next appointment is booked and I am always thankful for coming in. These last couple months of preparing for a holiday, a crazy week of work and then my surgery where I have to take 4-6 weeks off was made easier knowing Jen "had my back" - and squeezed me in for a quick trim and to make sure that I wouldn't be stressed about my hair while healing up. You guys are awesome and get 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me every time without fail. Thanks!!

I went to Changes, to see Izzy, for the first time yesterday and had an awesome experience and plan to continue to see her as my regular stylist! She patiently listened when I gave her my hair history and gave great advice on my cut/colour. She was also so precise with my cut ( an inverted bob). Futhermore, I had a service done at another salon called KODE (smoothing treatment) a month prior so, she used a piece of my cut hair to do a strand test before discussing safe colouring options and also told me she looked up that treatment before she saw me for my appointment - her care and professionalism are very impressive! It also helps that she is friendly and easy to talk to. Thank you Izzy and Changes!

I have had Melissa doing my hair at Hairchanges Studios for years. She has always helped me pick the perfect hair cut and products such as shampoos, conditioners, and leave in products to keep my hair strong and healthy. She recently helped me pick out a color to change the color for the first time. I LOVE IT! Melissa is always personable and knowledgeable, she’s explained the process my hair goes through when coloring and why certain products work better then others. She’s helped me understand what products I have used too often. I have recommend Melissa and the friendly team at hair changes studio to various friends and family!

I have been a customer at changes for a long time. I always got my eyebrows done there and hair. The lady who does the eyebrows is on maternity leave and boy oh boy the person who took over for her and does the reception is terrible. I've never felt so undervalued as a customer. I had a couple Incidents with her but the one a want the share I had to cancel my appointment something came up and I canceled with alot of notice. But she kept asking me why I was canceling. Normally I wouldn't make such a big deal out of it but when I told her I didn't want to share why, she kept Insisting that I tell her. When I said no after the 4th time she then proceeded to make me feel bad. I'm not one to leave a bad review especially about a place I like but this was enough to make me cancel all my appointments.

TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE. Had a junior stylist that was EXTREMELY rude...my foils were uneven and just plain awful. Talked to the owner who assumed me that she would fix it. She then had a member of her staff call me to tell me that she would NOT being fixing the MESS that her stylist made of my hair. Would never recommend this place!!

The WORST hair salon experience I have ever had!! I got a junior hair stylest color my hair, before she got started I made sure to let her know I wanted a honey blonde, when she finished she asked if i wanted to have it dry but i didnt even bother with it as I have curly hair and prefer it to let it air dry. Few hours later when I got home I looked at my hair and it was orange I panicked and called her back I said I needed it fixed she had no problem with it. When i went back I showed her a picture just so she could understand me better, FOUR HOURS later and with some help from the useless manager my hair is completely damaged I mean HANDS FULL OF HAIR coming out and the color close to nothing different than before and nothing like the picture. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED this people don't care if you go home bold. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

I have been going to this salon since I moved here 3 year ago. Katelyn is my stylist; she always does the most beautiful balayage on my hair and cuts/styles it to look healthy. She is kind and fun to talk to as well, which helps pass the time during a long hair-colouring appointment. The salon itself has a laid-back vibe. I've never felt rushed or noticed any other signs of chaos. The staff are friendly but also professional. I will never hesitate to recommend this place-- great team of people, great quality of products, all areas are clean. Overall a great experience every time.

A month ago I was in town visiting and forgot my hair dryer so I decided to phone around to see if I could get just a blowout. I googled “salons that take walk ins” and Changes came up. Being an Aveda salon (and I normally go to an Aveda salon), they were first up. I said “I am visiting from out of town, and wondered if you take walk ins”. I was advised “yes we do”. I said “ when would be a good time, or should I just show up?”. I was then told “ oh, but not today”. Well, then you DO NOT always take walk ins. I went elsewhere. Your receptionist could have handled that a lot better.

I'm new here to Kamloops and needed a trim (dusting) as I am trying to just grow my hair longer and she did exactly as I requested. The scalp massage with the oil I asked for and during the shampoo was amazing, I was so relaxed. Emma you did an amazing job. My hair looked and felt lovely after! I loved it. Great experience! I have been going to Changes Hair Studio since 2005. It's not just a haircut it's an experience! From the products, to the guest reception, to the stylists! I use a variety of products from haircare to skincare. I would highly recommend ANY of their products but my favourites would be the Damage Remedy and Be Curly lines. I also love their Botanical Kinetics skincare line, I use this line, exclusively, and my skin has never been better. I recommend Changes and their Aveda products to everyone, absolutely worth it! ????

Made the appointment. Called in was told 10 minutes. Go in for appointment only to see my stylist shampooing a customer and was told it will be another half hour. Why answer a question if you don't know the answer, go find out the answer. Or was a walk in taken while they knew I was outside in the middle of winter waiting for my appointment? Changes has lost a client!!

- Email inquiries are answered curtly by owner. - Web site advertises services that are not available, no up do's or make up. - Contacting salon 7 months prior to desired appointment dates makes no difference. There are likely salon's in the Kamloops area much more focused on service and creating return clients. Thank you for clarifying and following up.
