If you are expecting a spa/pampering experience this is not for you. Akram gives a consistent fast and excellent haircut at a very affordable price. I have found an alternative to high priced salons as I enter the retirement era of my life - For my length and type of hair (medium length and coarse) I have never been disappointed with Akram's expertise with the scissors and am confident with his color choice. He is a friendly no nonsense, no frills salon owner/operator who has made my hair look its best and not just the latest fad but what suits me. I have seen young men come in and leave with funky shaved styles, older men leave neat and tidy and myself very happy with now manageable hair. I started out with a totally different hair style when I first came to his shop. I gave him an idea of what I wanted it to look like eventually and he made it looks good in between while my hair grew out to the required amount for the particular style. He totally nailed it once my hair was long enough as well. Best style I've ever had. Akram really values his customers and he absolutely remembers me. Now I can come in and simply say "give me the usual" and it's that easy. It's nice to have a little personal touch this day in age.

Please don't go here if you have long hair... He only spent about 10 minutes cutting my hair, and it really showed; there were uneven chunks everywhere... I had to get my friend to fix it up for me, but I'll probably end up losing at least 4" of hair, if not more, trying to grow out the damage from this cut. Maybe it was a bad day for him, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like he puts very much effort or carefulness into his work. I thought I'd be okay getting a cheap cut, but I ended up paying 16$ to set myself back about a year of hair growth... So I definitely regret going here.
