Didn't want to perform the cut I requested and called my idea stupid even though it was my hair. He did so in front of staff as well as other customers. His ideas are old and conventional. My ideas always work out with other hair stylists. I won't be coming back. Decent prices but I guess you get what you pay for.

I had quite long hair. I wanted about 3-4'' taken off the dead ends. Rio even showed me with his hands he much he was going to take off and I agreed. I left there with a bob. No joke my hair is about 3'' off the back of my neck now FFS!! I couldn't see thee length he was taking off while cutting and when I stood up I wanted to just die. He took about 12-14'' of my length..... Left me with 3''. It took years to grow my hair. All I could do was leave without bursting into tears.

Absolutely terrible! She butchered my beard in 5 minutes & then had the nerve to charge me $22 & give me an evil glare when I didn't tip. If you don't know how to trim a beard, then just say it. I will never go here again.

This is a lovely salon. Chamilla is excellent at threading, waxing, hair dying and cutting. The stylists are just that, stylists. This isn't a hole in the wall super cuts. They cut my husbands' and boys hair with scissors. All for seriously reasonable pricing. The boys tend to see the owner and Rui (sp?) My daughter and I see Chamilla. Not one of us has ever had a bad cut here or experience. Everyone I have recommended this place to has had their expectations exceeded. Love this place ❤

I have been going here for three years now. Staff is friendly and the prices are great, men's cuts are only $24 and they don't charge extra for a post cut wash, unlike some other places I've been. I've received cuts from most of the stylists which were good, but after getting one cut from Rio 2 years ago I exclusively ask for him. His attention to detail is unmatched and every time I get a cut he gets better and better at perfecting it. I have also seen him do some incredible women's cuts and colors and would recommend him to women too.

Definitely the best salon on the west end if not the city! Alright so here’s a story explaining this... November 30 2018 I’ve been going here for 3+ years and Today I have graduation photos I scheduled an appointment for a hair clean up they said $10 I was shocked at the low price, so I went in got it done and the stylist that always cuts my hair (Rio his name) gave me a the full cut and did and Amazing job as always we chatted about my insanely busy day and other things and finished up then I walked to go and pay the fee plus a tip and he completely rejected my payment.. he said “next time” and gave me a smile.. I couldn’t have been so uplifted by such a kindness. MC hair mayfield common 10/10 great staff,service and skill!

I really enjoyed my experience at M.C. Hair. I was recommended to Abe by one of my very close friends, and I have to say that I received one of the best haircuts that I’ve gotten in my life. Abe takes his time with his clients to ensure that they’re getting exactly what they want because, as Abe says, once the hair is cut, you have to wait a long time to get it right again. I enjoy the customer service here, too. Once, Abe was packed, with 10 clients waiting, and I really needed a hair cut. So, instead of having me wait a few hours, Abe told me to go run my errands and he would call me shortly before a spot freed up. Talk about customer service! Overall, if you’re looking for a good haircut, regardless of what part of the city you’re in, you should definitely visit Abe at M.C. Hair—you won’t regret it!
