I saw Levi today and she did an amazing job. Prior I had a bad experience with a stylist and she completely turned it around - my faith in hairdressers is restored! Her highlights are blended, natural and flawless. Her techniques are truly of high quality and standards. The haircut I received completely fixed the prior job I had done and she really did give me the cut I wanted in the first place. Levi is meticulous and delivers, I’m so impressed and she won me over. I had Icon Hair & Body for hair and makeup for my wedding day and I loved them. They came to my hotel and were so organized and prepared. They did hair and makeup for myself, all of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law and we were all very happy with our final looks. I highly recommend them for events, they are so professional and organized which is what you need on your special day to keep your stress to a minimum. Also, they are a great salon in general for hair, nails and waxing!! Such a clean friendly salon.

Do not go for a pedicure. The only reason I'm giving this overpriced salon 2 stars is because the 1st pedicure I had there, in the summer, was fine. But this time, we were misinformed about how long we had to wait to let the polish dry, so it got all messed up. Went back the next day, and the person who had to redo it was clearly irritated, and did a lousy job: missed half of one toe and parts of a few others, had bubbles and holes in several, uneven all over. I didn't have time to go for a 3rd attempt.

I cannot say enough good things about this salon and my amazing stylist. Immediately as you walk in through the door you are welcomed by incredible staff who treat you kindly no matter if you are having a service with them or someone else. They have incredible products and services. I have gone for facials, manicures, and haircuts and always leave satisfied! They also have great communication if anything comes up with your appointment. I am very picky about my hair and have been scarred from poor haircuts in the past at different salons. I see Amanda for my naturally curly hair and she is very attentive to my hair goals and needs! She will never snip or colour a strand of hair unless she is 100% confident it is what I want!

When I started going to see Amanda a year or two ago, my hair was in ROUGH shape. Like R O U G H: colour banding, dry, and what I would call “blorange”. After the first appointment with her, my hair felt healthier and looked amazing. Fast forward to now and Amanda has gotten me to the blonde I’ve always wanted to be AND she even did a killer pink colour once too (in the photos!). How do I even begin to express my appreciation for Icon Hair & Body? I have happily been a client for the past 6 years and every experience exceeds my expectations. This is my go-to salon for ALL my waxing needs -- thank you to Marjorie & Kendal for expertly maintaining my unruly brows and other various body hair – as well as special occasion updos/makeup and of course my regular hair care with Levi. Kendal is incredibly welcoming and a true professional at her craft, she always makes me feel relaxed and comfortable during a generally uncomfortable appointment. The waxing rooms are generously large with 15-foot ceilings filled with soft music and top-notch cleaning procedures between clients. Kendal really gets to know her clients and isn’t finish until you are completely satisfied with the results. She is extremely detailed, talks you through the process and even if her schedule is back-to-back, I have never once felt rushed through my appointment. Levi is MY GIRL for hair colour! Besides my picky hair preferences, I have oodles of thick hair and colouring my hair is a hand/forearm workout! My excessive amount of head-hair often requires multiple trips to the back room get more product and Levi rises to the occasion every time without complaint. She is a great listener to my needs and wants, and somehow she makes a plan out of my nonsensical ramblings while being realistic with my expectations. Not only does she have creative colours ideas herself (if you need some inspiration) but she delivers a custom, one-of-a-kind result. Through her skill I am constantly receiving compliments on my hair from strangers. Levi is a patient and experienced hair stylist, and always goes an extra mile for her clients to ensure they leave the salon feeling and looking beautiful.

I visit the Commerce Place location, and I am very very picky with my hair and I found it difficult to find a hairdresser who listens. I trust Tess completely with my hair, and the communication she provides while doing the cut is remarkable. She is a great talker, and I really love that she takes the time to show me simple styling tips with my new haircut. I've been a returning customer of Brooke's for years-- and plan to be for a very long time. She's amazing! For colours and cuts, she really listens and figures out how to best achieve whatever look you're going for, and really just NAILS IT when it comes to the details. I recently went in hoping to give my dark blonde hair a spring update, and loved the result Brooke achieved, it was subtle but dramatic, and I've gotten so many compliments! She's also very knowledgeable, all my favourite products have come from her recommendation. 10/10 for sure, I'm always excited for my next appointment.

I had the pleasure of booking Icon Hair & Body for my wedding this July and boy did they make us look good! lol I had hair and makeup done for myself and my bridal party on the day, on site at my parents house, as well as a trial run of my hair and makeup at the salon. Sara and the rest of the girls were friendly and professional, and were able to give everyone the look they wanted, while keeping us all relaxed and laughing. The on site option was wonderful as being able to be in a familiar space and not having to rush to and from a salon helped us all to relax that much more. My hair and makeup lasted beautifully all through the day and I didn't have to touch up anything, even though they did provide me with an emergency fix-up kit just in case. I would recommend Icon Hair & Body to anyone looking for salon services.

I got my makeup done for a special occasion, even though I'm a makeup artist in training. I'm always willing to learn, and I just wanted to change up my look. The girl was so sweet and kind. Though I wish she paid attention to what I was saying a little more. She didn't take what kind of skin type I had into consideration, nor what kind of dress I had. I told her I have a light blue dress for a wedding, and the girl gave me a warm toned brown eyeshadow. Also my skin was so oily looking, I swear she didn't even set it. I paid $57 and still gave a $8 tip, even though I immediately went home and re-did my whole makeup. I was very disappointed in my makeup, though she did such an amazing job on my sister.

This review is for the South location. I am highly sensitive to many things (biggest being gluten, corn, and solvents) which make getting hair and makeup done really hard. (Gluten and corn are very common in cosmetics and I have to worry about solvents with things like hairspray.) I was really impressed by how seriously the ladies at Icon took my sensitivities. They did an amazing job researching ingredients and making sure there was nothing going on my face that wasn't safe. I've been dealing with these problems for a long time and can tell in less than a minute when people are trying to BS me and I got absolutely none of that here. Not only were they very considerate and professional but they did a lovely job on my make up and hair. I got quite a few compliments from my classmates at my grad that night. Several people asked who did my hair. 100% would go there again or recommend to friends.

I called to set up an appointment and the girl on the phone seemed like she doesn't like her job at all. When I got there she looked arrogant and wouldn't even greet me. There definitely is room for improvement. I only got a manicure and the lady who did it was super nice and quick! We had a great chat and my nails look great! She made sure I'm happy with the result and I can recommend here. The price was ok too.

I received a gift certificate for the south location, was able to get an appointment right away. The location is super easy to get to and has parking. The decor is fresh, clean and simple. Staff that greeted me were super friendly and I met the owner, Andrea and she was so lovely. I was paired with Montana and she was great! Montana was friendly and easy to talk to. I hadn't gotten my hair done in a long while and she paid very close attention to what I was looking for and I received a great colour and fantastic haircut. My colour came out the exact colour I was looking for and is very even. I told her I wanted to grow my hair out but knew my hair needed a good cut, she was able to keep the length but cut out all my dead hair, which is rare! Super happy with the service and can't wait to go back and build my relationship with her and the Icon team.

I came into this salon looking to get more blonde put in my hair. I specifically said I want to be VERY blonde. Well SARA the hairstylist talked me into getting a few low lights to blend my hair better. When i left i realized my hair looked dull, not the blonde i was looking for at all. And when i called back a couple days later to ask her to put in a few more highlights in to brighten my hair up (I was not happy with the amount of low lights she put it AT ALL) she said I would have to pay full charge for the service, even though I wasnt happy. I unfortunately learned the hard way to never let a hairstylist convince you of anything, Now i have to go pay AGAIN to get blonde put in my hair from someone else (should have just went somewhere else in the first place). NOT happy AT ALL with the fact she couldnt touch up my hair when i was unhappy with it.

If I could leave no stars that would be more accurate . I’m not going to use my real name obvisouly . I had my hair colored by Brooke. I wanted more of a unicorn , fun colored look . She was super rude . She made me feel like she did not even want to be doing my hair and it was to much work to give me multi colors. I should have trusted my gut instinct and left but stayed . She did not talk to me , was super rough with my hair and in the end did not even ask if I liked it . It looked decent , but when I got home and really looked at it , it was uneven and looked messy . Im so unhappy with my hair . Never go to this salon, and if you do make the mistake I did by going , at least see someone else besides Brooke . Also the receptionist with the long dark hair was super rude too. Such a bad environment !

The stylists here are good and the salon itself is really nice looking but the manager is ridiculous and unprofessional. She was wandering around gossiping about staff and I figured she was just a catty employee but when I asked my stylist who she was I came to find out that she's the manager, Christina. Apparently this is the way she does business by bullying and picking on the employees in FRONT of customers. I found the mood really changed once she showed up as well. I won't be back there again. It's a shame because the stylists are talented and shouldn't be stuck working under a black cloud.

I just moved here and heard good things about ICON so I booked an appointment with Sarah for a haircut about 2 months ago. She is very friendly and polite and I was happy once I was done. I went home and noticed that one side of my hair was longer than the other. I thought it was how I was styling it but I kept noticing the sides were uneven. Last week, I gave up and went to a different hair salon in Edmonton where the stylist confirmed my suspicion. One side of my hair was 1 1/2 inch longer than the other. I have short thick hair so the discrepancy was very noticeable. She charged me less than ICON and fixed my hair. I was hoping to make ICON my go-to hair salon but now, I advise everyone to not waste your money at ICON. There are better salons in Edmonton.

I can’t say enough amazing things about my stylist Amanda. I use to get my hair done once a year, but with Amanda I’m going every 2 months because she does such an amazing job. Kendal is equally as amazing - I’ve seen her for a brow tint and lash lift/tint. Icons has a private room she works out of so it’s super relaxing. Kendal is so lovely and chatty :). Definitely stop by Icons if you value great service & a friendly atmosphere.

I recently visited Icon to get a hair cut and style and couldn't be happier! The customer service was excellent and Levi did an amazing job on my hair. In addition, Icon carries a lot of fantastic products (including Eye Envy, which I love), and even has an aerosol can recycling program (we need to take care of our planet!). I'd definitely recommend them, especially Levi... she's a true artist.
