This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a salon. Everyone there was so incredibly welcoming. It felt like I had been friends with them for years, even though this was my first time meeting them. The owner William is so kind and really took care of me. He set me up with the stylist Flint who did an outstanding job on my hair. The cut is beautiful and I feel gorgeous with it! I would recommend this salon to anyone and will definitely be a lifelong client.

I went here for the first time and I was quite disappointed. I called reception requesting a junior stylist and the receptionist got me in same day. My appointment was kinda awkward.. she didn't care for talking. She gave me weird looks.. my hair cut was super simple: All the same length "bob" and bangs. It was mostly just cutting off split ends and damaged hair since I've sported this look forever. After my appointment, I went to go pay. I bought a couple products and my bill ended up being $150.. I looked at the screen and I was charged $70.00 for my hair cut when a junior stylist is $36.. I mentioned it and my stylist said there is no junior stylists here. Even though I requested one... AND just to top it off... my bangs and hair isn't even straight. It's horrible. The whole time I was getting my hair done I thought I was getting done by a junior stylist.. she was unpleasant and a huge disappointment.

I've been going to chrome and beauty lounge for about 6 years now. Flint has always been the one to do my hair. He is absolutely amazing, the ONLY person I trust with my hair. He has seen me bleach the hell out of my own hair and brought it back to life and then has followed my every request for changing it up to different colours. Came to him after a previous stylist ruined my hair and I've never looked back. Everyone here is awesome, and they remember you which is the best part. I recommend this place and Flint to everyone I know.

My entire life I had gone to the same hair dresser, and I loved her...then I moved. Moved so far that making a trip home to get my hair done was nearly impossible and a bit silly. Chrome was the second salon I tried after moving to Edmonton, and it was perfect. My first appointment was with a groupon and I was treated no different than if I was part of their regular clientele. I was lucky enough to get my first appointment with Flint, and I've been seeing him for 3 1/2 years now. I could go on for hours about how entertaining he is to me, but more importantly he makes me feel so beautiful. My hair always looks amazing, I get compliments all the time! The staff is wonderful and super friendly. The owner, Will, always makes a point to check in with the clients and say hello. It's very personable and quite refreshing. I've also been to the Beauty Lounge, which is another beautiful salon owned by Will Halabi on Jasper Ave... I prefer Chrome ONLY because of the onsite parking. I can't say enough nice things about this place, I would absolutely recommend it.

Don’t waste your time or money here. I was quoted 185 on the phone and again when my hair was originally looked at in person. Than I was told it would have to be bleached twice and would cost 335. The stylist was rude and made comments about how short it was in length. They also were completely unprofessional and slandered the work that had been done previously to my hair. On top of that I had booked an appointment beforehand and waited for 40 minutes. Would not recommend.

I had a Goldwell Kerasilk Keratin Treatment & haircut Service done by Kristen. The salon was clean, the staff were friendly, everyone was wearing facemasks and there was limited number of staff and clients. My haircut was perfect! Kristen did a great job with my side bangs and layers and totally fixed my quarantine haircut disaster. The keratin treatment is amazing! I have curly, thin hair that couldn't see a hairdryer unless I had the time to flat iron it right after. Now, it takes me 10min to go from wet to dry and ready to go out the door. My hair is thicker, softer, and shinier than ever! It's been a month since I had the treatment done and I'm super happy with the results. I recommend Chrome Spa Salon, the keratin treatment and recommend stylist Kristen.

I had recently had my hair coloured by another salon and they could not lift my colour. I had black hair dye in my hair, and, i luckily met Sierra and she is an excellent colourist and stylist! She lifted that old black dye and gave me brilliant reddish pink colour! I am so happy and the cut has layers and body!! I know better now to go to a quality salon to get the results i want :)!! Thank you guys!, see you when my roots coming in. lol! And, yes they were very clean, provided masks, and I felt safe and protected. (proper covid precautions).

If you need hair styling services, Chrome is the place to go in this COVID-19 environment. I have been a faithful client of Will and always loved the services I received. Will is an artist with hair beyond any stylists. In this context, above all, I am incredibly impressed with all the safety procedures put in place for re-opening. Chrome resumed their business this week and they are going ABOVE AND BEYOND for the safety of staff and clients. They are limiting the amount of people in the salon, they provide surgical masks and hand sanitizer. They are extremely careful with social distancing and cleanliness. If the isolation period was difficult on you for hair colour, stylists at Chrome are amazing colourists and will be sure to correct any problems. I highly recommend this salon!

Went here because we saw a groupon deal but we wanted to finalize the price first before we buy the package because my hair is longer and thicker than average. The receptionist was very knowledgable but unfortunately the price was too high for me and my friend. During the consulatation she said that the procedure we want would be roughly between $250 to $300. we went to another salon where they offered the same procedure for a much lower price. service was great though.

She knew what she was doing and knew to cut my long, curly hair in stages, checking with me along the way to make sure we didn't take off too much. Her technique with thinning my hair was nigh flawless, too. She also had the perfect products for my curls - I think I might go back and get that Kevin Murphy curl cream later! Definitely coming back for more cuts later on!

The atmosphere of this salon is so welcoming the staff is very friendly! They are always willing to fit in an appointment even when it is calling last minute. They are right on top on calling back if there is a cancelation to move your booking up. I purchased a Groupon online for my wife. Manager told it would have to use more liquid and would cost extra money. After a few arguments my wife was agreed to pay the money, The stylist was rude and he put money in my wife's pocket and said if you can't afford money then I can give you money. He said my wife have done the same argument last year and he remember my daughter too. Well, last year she didn't bring my daughter and there was no argument happened last year. He is completely liar. They were completely unprofessional and slandered. Finally, he refused to do her hair treatment. Worst customer service ever. I would not recommend.

My finace went to get a cut and colour after making an appointment afrer purchasing a groupon, i was aware there may be an extra bit of charge for length of hair etc.. when she went in and told them what she wanted they said no that wouldnt work and will need this and that and will be another $150, which she didnt have on her, they offered to do what they can for what money she did have which would have been half her hair so what's the point in that.. so after that they made her feel very uncomfortable and like she wasn't good enough to be there and embarrassed, and she ended up leaving, even added insult to injury and chargerd a 25 dollar cancelation fee, it wasn't her fault she had to leave.. she will never go back, very unacceptable customer service and running of a business!

Nicholas Padlecki is renting a space for his tattooing in the back... He's AMAZING. So easy and fun to work with. I saw him a year ago, when he was elsewhere, and came back when he set up shop here. I've stopped telling them what I want and just let them work their magic (I'm a redhead now and swore I wouldn't be but I love it), They are pros at designing and mixing color palettes for my hair and features. Each staff member is unique and so are their creations all the while protecting my hair and keeping it healthy. When I leave I feel like a million bucks and always receive many compliments. I was looking for a new regular hair salon to go to so when I was the Groupon i thought it would be a good idea to try here. The ambience is beautiful and it smells like brown sugar inside. They must have a large scentsy somewhere to make it smell so good. It was very inviting and the staff were really nice. The hair part - I showed them two different pictures explaining what I wanted and made it clear i wanted a more blended lighter look. Myself and the stylist talked for probably 25 minutes going back and fourth about my hair and I kept saying well I want it lighter than my natural. Finally I just said ok do what you think because it was frustrating just going back and fourth. Long story short I left with darker hair than when I came in when I wanted lighter and even showed them the picture. I'm just disappointed because I was so excited and then left with what was the opposite of what I asked for. I won't be back for this reason.

Had my haircut and beautiful bouncy waves done yesterday by the skilled and wonderful hairstylist, Flint. My hair length was past my mid back a bit and I had it cut a little past my collarbone. It was my first time at Chrome Hair Salon and Spa and it will definitely be the place I will be going to for my future haircuts and styling. My hair type is fine and smooth and it takes a very skilled hairstylist to know how to handle my hair type. The hair salon is clean and all staffs were very helpful and professional. Allison was the first person I talked on the phone to book my haircut and she sure matched me up with the right hairstylist at the salon after I've mentioned to her I have lots of fine smooth hair strands.

Love love love this hair salon! I've never went to the same salon twice and I have been at Chrome to see Sierra three times since September. First, she cut my hair that was at my waist to my just under shoulders, then cut it shorter and changed the style, and recently trusted her to dye my virgin hair and love it so much! The environment at the salon is overall very friendly and the student discount on certain days is oh-so helpful to those who are busy paying for school. Don't plan on going anywhere other than here!!

I got Goldwell intense Keratin treatment 10 days ago. But I wasn’t really getting how to make it work so that my hair doesn’t look much curly after each wash( coz I have hair type very curly ), I called Salon again and Will told me to come over and I went to Salon, William explained me very patiently that about Keratin and that Keratin is heat activated and if my hair are a bit curly after wash I have to blow dry with fingers or brush, then Keratin will get activated, my hair definitely get smooth after blow dry now. Hair stylist Sierra did really nice haircut I told her that I don’t want you to cut much of my hair and she did layers decently and didn’t cut much. My experience in this salon was excellent until recently. Perhaps the owner was having a nervous breakdown; I don't know. But no matter what, there is no excuse for bullying and humiliating a customer in front of all the others in the middle of her haircut when she is defenseless. It is simply unacceptable. So, let's talk about Will first...HE WAS PHENOMENAL!!! I was recommended to him by another lady who also loves him and his salons. I have super thick curly hair, and I had not had it cut in over a year due to a bad experience from another salon. It desperately needed cut as it was now really dry and I had lots of split ends. When I walked in they were all very professional and took COVID seriously. You have to put a new mask on that they provide as well as putting your belongings in a little cubby, to help stop the spread of germs. But anyways, everyone was wearing masks, super polite, helpful and knowledgeable. My appointment was with Will, and he treated me like we had been best friends for 20 years. He was so welcoming and sweet. I told him to do whatever he wanted with my hair since he has been cutting curly hair for 25 years, and he made it look so good. My hair was pretty long, but he cut almost all of the dead ends off, gave me a little bang in the front, layered it, and then styled it. He also took the time to SHOW me how to style it, which is probably what I appreciated the most. I have such a hard time styling it, and he stayed there for a little over an hour with me, cutting my hair, talking to me, explaining what he was doing, showing me how to use different products and tools to help my hair look "salon quality" at home. While I felt the price of the cut was a bit expensive at first, when I was done, I felt that I wasn't paying enough lol. I have never been to such an amazing salon. Oh and the man who washed my hair (I'm sorry, I forget your name!!) was also amazing. We had a great conversation and he was also soo polite. I cannot recommend Will's salons enough, and am actually going back at the beginning of April for a smoothing treatment to help tame my frizz haha. SO happy I found this place!!

I am giving this salon one star because the staff was friendly. Other then that I didn't feel I got what I paid for. I even showed the stylist a picture of the colour I wanted so there was no misunderstanding. There weren't enough foils in and the sparse highlights I got weren't near worth what the cost is to get it done. I didn't want a hair cut, just trim the dead ends off the bottom for which I was charged an extra $75! Between the low quality quick head massage during washing, the quality of colouring and placement of colour...I think another place would do the same at a much lower cost. If you can't afford 250 to get your hair done like most people...don't bother wasting your money here.

Had a very poor experience here. I was dealt with by 3 different people, not including the receptionist. Everyone was friendly enough but the execution was off on everything. The stylist used such little product that my root touch up did not even cover all of my roots and the ends, that were supposed to be purple, looked no different than when I walked in. The hot water was not working so I had a super bad headache after the hair wash due to the ice cold water that was used and the man who washed my hair scrubbed vigorously with his fingernails so that just flat out hurt. The hair wash is supposed to be relaxing and I find it the best part of getting my hair done, however here it was painful and I could not wait for it to be over. I will not be returning and I will not be recommend this salon to anyone I know.

I recently got my hair done at Chrome and had such a bad experience. After my first visit, I wasn’t too happy with the service I received from the hairdresser but decided to give it a second chance and I can officially say that I will never go back and should of gone elsewhere. The atmosphere was horrible, the staff walked by each other like they hated each other, they were rude and the hairdresser who did my hair (Kirsten) took more time blow drying and shampooing my hair than actually cutting it. She was also very rough while blow drying my hair by pulling really hard as she combed it and at times would get so close to my scalp with the blow dryer that it would burn. I also purchased a Groupon and when I booked my appointment, I asked if there were any special rules or anything I should be aware of and the receptionist said no so I gave her the code as requested and booked my appointment. I went up to the desk after my appointment to pay and was rudely told by the receptionist that because I had used a Groupon on my last visit and it hasn’t been a full year since then, I couldn’t use my Groupon. She kept pointing out on the Groupon that it specifically says that it is not valid for clients who have visited in the last year so I could not use the Groupon. It’s been about 7 months since I was there last and I did not see that part of the fine print on the Groupon. When I booked my appointment, the girl I spoke with did not mention anything like that or even tell me to read the fine print even though she knew I had been there in the last year. I admit that I should of read all of the rules under the fine print as I usually do but to be treated so rudely and almost made fun of because I didn’t read all those rules, was not necessary. Instead of being understanding and letting it go that one time and informing me not to let it happen again, they did the total opposite. After the receptionist spoke to another staff member, they finally said I could use the amount I paid for the Groupon but would have to pay the difference which ended up coming out to the full amount they charge for a full cut and style. It was more than I wanted to spend for just a trim and was definitely not worth it. I understand that all businesses have rules that should be followed but the way that specific rule/situation was dealt with was uncalled for. I looked at other available hair salon Groupons and LivingSocial ones in Edmonton and each one I read either said not valid for clients who have visited in the last 6 months or doesn’t give a specific time frame. For a business like that, the customer should be treated with respect and not leave feeling disrespected and belittled. I will not be going to Chrome again and will be telling everyone I know that the service there is horrible.

I got my keratin treatment done by Sierra about 2 weeks ago. She's done my treatment I think 3 times now and she is the real deal! She is super knowledgable, has incredible style, great conversationalist, just an all around gem. Working with ethic hair like mine in this super dry climate is not an easy task, but she's up for it every time and works her magic EVERY TIME. If you have unruly hair, I recommend the keratin treatment. You won't regret it!
