I got a magic straight perm from a Korean lady (I didn't get her name - she started working there last year, lived in China before). I have gotten many straight perms before at various Korean hair salons, and this has been by far the best one. My hair is extremely frizzy and heavy, and so when my hair came out straight even after washing it at home I knew it had worked well. She took very good care of me, and the perm took a total of 3.5 hours, which is quite reasonable compared to the 5+ I have spent at other salons. She even trimmed my hair a bit after the perm. They use high quality products from Korea, specifically designed with Asian hair in mind. Highly recommend, especially this specific Korean hairdresser!

She was nice and polite, but only took 15 minutes to do my haircut. The style itself is fine, but my husband seem to think the hair look really choppy from the back. The pricing is really reasonable, but I'm used to the Japanese hair salon's precision and service so I probably won't come back here and will make the 45 mins drive to a Japanese salon in Toronto.

Hidden gem in Hamilton. Got my haircut from a lady working for the boss at the shop. As a Korean young professional, I am pretty picky about my haircut and usually get my haircut only from the shop in Toronto I have been using since university. Was forced to visit elsewhere due to pandemic shutdown, and to be honest, was not expecting much in Hamilton. I showed the lady at Hairart pictures downloaded from the Internet and my past pictures how it looked on me. The cut I asked for was "regent" cut. When she started, she was extremely through, putting gradation work on my side burns, and also constantly reviewing her cuts from different angles and asking for my opinion. At the end, the cut looked exactly as I asked for, and was pleased to pay regular fee + 20% tip. Sorry to hear this place is also going into lockdown along with the rest of Hamilton. Else, would definitely travel there from Toronto again, if my Toronto regular shop remains closed. 10/10
