I have been going to Ashlee for over two years now and followed her over to Brookside & Bliss Salon when it opened. The environment inside is nice and chic and the entire crew is extremely good at what they do! Ashlee's attention to detail and styling is absolute perfection! This is definitely one Halifax's hidden gems! Overall, high-end boutique experience with the charm of the Maritimes.

I love this little salon SO much. I have been following master stylist Laurel around the city for the past 15 years. She always gives me a fabulous cut and she has a magical way with colour. I have blond hair and a less experienced stylist can make you look cheap and brassy. Not Laurel - strangers ask me where I get my colour done, that's what an amazing job she does! I love the new salon location on Almon Street- it's classy and cozy; it invites you in. It's a warm atmosphere with all three stylists there - Laurel, Darrel, and Ashlee- great personalities and they always take care of their clients with extra touches. These people are true, experienced professionals - top shelf. If you want good hair, this is where you want to go. And if you're missing the old Flaunt Studio, this is where you'll find the talent.

It is ideal for one person or maximum two. In relation to the cost-benefit I would qualify it as regular. Gave it two stars because the salon was pretty, but my cut possibly the worst I've had. My stylist was not very friendly and I'm not convinced he was even paying attention to what he was doing. My cut looked good in the salon but there was pieces I had to cut myself when I got home. Just no.

Great salon! Very clean, trendy aesthetic, unpretentious and very reasonably priced considering the great quality cut I received . I had Christina cut my hair for the first time a few weeks ago, and I can confidently say I've found a stylist for life! She's professional, fun and talented. I'd recommend her to anyone!

I have gray hair that tends to yellow and well the back still has lots of dark strands. Darrel did an amazing job with a gloss finish that killed the yellow and blended the colour amazingly. And, the cut was fantastic. Lovely shop as well. The most comfortable wash sink I've ever had the joy of setting my neck in....no headache after from the distortion!
