Positive: Friendly guys! Negative: Music was SO loud you couldn't hear to speak. Took 3 barber's to cut his hair. Didn't turn out anything like what was asked for. (complete butchered) Took almost 1 hour 1/2. Was almost overcharged for a kid's cut (not the price listed online). My child almost cried. Conclusion: Not a barber shop for kids. Will go back to his previous barber. (Sad, because we had heard good things previous to this)

I booked an appointment for a haircut online via Booksy and came in for my cut. The owner and an employee(?) were the only ones in there. They wore no mask the entire time and I thought nothing of it. I expected Omar to have put on a mask when he sat me down to cut my hair - nope I was wrong. I didn’t really think much of it... until he started to cough. Every minute he would cough loudly into his arms. This worried me a little bit since there is an ongoing pandemic. I hope he just had some food stuck in his throat or something and he doesn’t have anything serious. It was a good cut overall, though.

I had shaved my own hair for the past 10 years, and have been looking around Guelph for a steady barber, and I think I’ve found one. In response to “Guelph Guy’s “ review: I watched Omar change the blade on the straight-razor, and he had a standard sharps bucket to dispose of the used ones He sprayed down all clippers prior to using them with sanitizer solution The floor was swept clean To the the best of my knowledge (having researched becoming a barber recently) there is no formal license required to be a barber in Ontario. I don’t know about the business license, but I don’t really care, there are way sketchier places out there than this barber shop. I had a great experience and hope the place succeeds.

0 STARS - For some reason this shop has only good reviews. Either he is deleting the negative ones or he just got all of his buddies to make good reviews, making them fake. I walked into Omars shop only to find him sleeping on his chairs, hair and dirt and dust strewn about the floor and surfaces. He did not sanitize the tools he used on the people prior nor after. It seems like he is the only person who works there, but I did some research and it is clear that he himself does not have a license to run a business or even to be cutting hair and making money from it. The license on the wall is under a different persons name, but I found out that that person is no longer included in the business. This establishment is dirty, unprofessional, and technically ran illegally. I would avoid it like the plague if you dont want to catch someone elses lice that are on his dirty tools..

Even though his business has been growing throughout the years, he still spends the necessary time and care into the haircuts like I'm the only customer he has. There hasn't been one time that I walked out of his shop unhappy, and before Covid when I used to wait for my haircuts, I'd see the same satisfaction in his other customers.
