This was the worst experience of my life. The level of insult I had to face here . It was my first time getting a haircut here. The hairstylist named Tung was extremely rude and started by saying “are you from india?” I said no but he consistently asked “u look very indian and I mentioned No multiple times but he wouldn’t stop asking” then he started saying “ omg your hair is so fine its very fine And kept saying it” i mentioned I recently had twins so I have alot of hairfall but he wouldn’t understand and wouldn’t stop insulting me after literally every 10 seconds. When it was time for the cut he wouldn’t give me front layers and kept saying “why did u cut like this its so bad, I dont know what to do with this” by the way I dont have extremely fine hair with bald spots , its just normal fine hair that many people have. I had to force him to shape the front uneven layers and from the back he only did a half inch or less trim thats it!!! The worst is that along with consistent shaming me and me replying as “I know My hair doesn’t stop falling “ with teary eyes he wouldn't stop and then pointed at my scalp and said “you will ho bald very soon you have very fine hair why is your hair so bad” I felt so embarrassed and horrified and was surprised that there is no manager no senior person to tell him WTH are you saying and when I would speak to him he wouldn’t understand basic english and would just ignore me straight to my face .after the cut without asking me he just started straightening my wet hair and once he was done he said “I wont curl your hair because its very fine.” I said “I curl and it looks fine to me” but as I said he would just ignore me. At that time I was so shocked and teary eyed by the whole session that All i wanted was to go home and cry but now Its hitting me that Wth kind of professionalism was that??? Who trained him and kept him and why were other hairstylists witnessing what he was saying ?!!
If there is Zero star than is double zero star. For too many problems that I saw in this salon the most important problem is all stylists in this salon never clean and disinfect their tools before and after they use them on clients. Actually when you go there you can just take look to their round brushes or clippers you will see tons of other people hair still on them and the stylist still use them on you. Also you will see the barber Cid on their counter top but I didn't see any of stylists there is using it not before client, after, or even after the stylist dropped his comb on floor he/she never clean it, they just grabbed them and use them again on your hair. Other thing is I went there for feeding haircut and hair tattoos nobody of the stylist could do right for me. Actually what I saw there is the place just for pulling money from people. I went there couple time also my friends and we will never do it again.
Amazing service!
You may visit some new places you might like, but this place is special plus sam he did great job,I extremely recommend this place and their services, good job sam and the rest of you guys wish you all successful and absolutely rated 5 Stars.
I've gone to a few stylists here that have all been great and given me what I've asked for, but Maria goes above and beyond. I trust her wholeheartedly with my hair and wouldn't get highlights or ballayage from anyone else. Even though I no longer live in Guelph I'll still make the hour long commute to go here!
Suzanne cuts my grandson Eli’s hair and does a wonderful job. He loves it and so do I. He always looks so handsome after. Great staff at front reception also
A little expensive but wonderful service.
Frank and Sam were truly amazing. This was my very first hair colouring experience going from brownish-dirty blonde to full head golden blonde highlights and I was very nervous. Frank made it his priority to make sure I was happy during and after the process. The results were fantastic and I will definitely be coming back for a touch up ???????? Sam also nailed the Victoria Secret curls when he styled it! ????
Lovely.staff :) great service.
I was skeptical of this place because of the reviews. But a really friendly stylist Carlo listened to everything I wanted and gave me the best haircut I've had in Guelph so far (mens cut). Also it was only $27 with the student discount!
Got my hair cut by Simira. She did a wonderful job and the scalp massage was great.
I went in for a cut, I showed a picture of what I wanted, essentially curtain bangs and layers. I was given a side bang, it was too late to say anything once I realized what was happening, and I don’t even have layers, didn’t notice until I got home. She also styled it, which I never wanted, charged for it and by the time I got home the curls I payed for were gone. I loved the service. My hairdresser was very kind. However I wouldn’t go back. I payed 80 and the only thing that changed were my bangs, I really wanted layers and now I can’t afford to get it done somewhere else.
Bri is the best hairdresser!
I love to have a colour and a hair cut here. It is expensive but what Jwan did for me is amazing!
Tung and Jwan are excellent - our whole family have used them both over the past year and we highly recommend. They both spend the time getting you what you want and what looks great.
Too expensive and everyone looks disinterested whenever I walk by.
I paid $50 plus HST for beach waives that lasted couple of hours, it was beautiful but not worth it. How can a cut with style cost $45 with the same stylist and $50 for a blow dry only, it didn’t make sense, no no tip and not coming back...
Got my eyebrows waxed here for the first time, they were done really nicely. Also they offer 10% off to students on Monday and Wednesday
Had the hair service back in Sept. told the male hairstylist to beware of my piercings and he said okay. The process was painful because he combed on my piercings for many time ended up bleeding.
Amazing place????
A great place for pedicures, facials, or waxing. I have been going here for years, and if you're looking for an aesthetician, I highly recommend Annie Luu! She is absolutely fabulous. Great at her job and just a fantastic person overall. Just ask for Annie!
this is the worst place to get your hair cut. when they cut my hair they cut the front to much and the back to little. go to malkim instead.
Staff are scam artists and not LGBT-friendly. I was just charged $80 for a men's trim, which is radically more than I usually pay, even at this location. It's worth noting that my hair is very short - shorter than the men who work there - and I was in the chair for 15 minutes. When I asked why the high price, the girl at the front desk told me I had asked for a senior stylist, which I had not. She also told me I had asked for a women's wash and cut, which I had not (I just asked for a trim) and I was given no choice regarding the wash. When I told her I had only asked for a quick trim, and didn't identify as a woman, she told me it was too bad, and actually hinted that I was lying about my gender identity. When I asked her how much men's cuts were, she told me $30. When I asked her why the price was so different, she told me she didn't actually know. Previously, I paid $60 for a buzzcut, believing the men's cut was $50. Never once did she apologize for the confusion. Basically, I just paid $50 for being born a woman. I left feeling like I'd been mugged.
I've never written a bad review before, but I was completely blindsided for how I was treated on Monday and I don't want this happening to anyone else. I came in for my balayage promo which is advertised as $198 plus tax, a service I had inquired about and booked in person a week prior. I also had a hair cut and toner test a week prior so the below charge doesn't EVEN INCLUDE a cut and style. When I got in the chair I was quoted $395, not including tax or tip, the final charge would be over $500 for my first balayage total, again this is for dye, a toner charge of $55, and a bunch of other charges I didn't understand. I was obviously surprised and asked the front desk about the promo and why it wasn't applying, I was told my hair is too long and too thick and I wasn't eligible for the promo, then the reason changed and the price was because the stylist "didn't know I wanted the promo," to which I said who wouldn't want the promo who would pay full price when a promo is in effect ? The stylist then started to discount a bunch of the dye and toner charges leaving the "new" total to $345 again not including tax or tip. So if this was an available pricing why wasn't this what I was charged initially ? I only booked in because of the promo and the counter staff gaslit me over the definition of a promo, it was absolutely absurd, all the other salons heard about my experience and said if it's a promo it's discounted, if you're paying upwards of $500, it ISN'T A PROMO. I am also a tattoo artist and HALF of my head is shaved bald, but that never came into a factor for my pricing, which other salons noted should have been a factor. Natural solutions is the only salon perfectly fine trying to upsell people to the point it's robbery. This salon preys on girls who don't have friends in the industry to tell them what's normal and what isn't. I have never in my entire career quoted someone and then doubled the price when they arrive, just TELL the client it will be $500 or tell the client from the beginning that they can't get the promo pricing so the customer has the opportunity to decide if it fits in their budget or not. This sales tactic is deceiving and in no universe is $500 a "promo" for a balayage, it's over full price. I was devastated and wanted to know if it was truly my fault because of my "thick hair," so I went to three other stylists who all confirmed this price is outrageous since only half of my head needs to be dyed. I am going to Salon 160 for my balayage for half the price and way better treatment than what I experienced at Natural Solutions.
Did a wonderful job on my hair for prom. Beautiful styles and options and amazing staff!
I cut my hair a couple of weeks ago with Suzanne. It was a great experience, and I really like my haircut. I would recommend a haircut from her specially and am planning to schedule another appointment when my air gets too long. Overall great experience
Great place and great hair stylests
I went into Natural Solutions Guelph today for the 1st time, and my experience with the cost when I was done (which was not discussed ahead of time) completely turned my stomach!!! When I went to check out it was about $380!! For a colour, 6 foils & a cut that normally costs me $190 at Tonyc (including all that + treatment)!! Since when is this normal as the manager on shift stated?! Also definitely no scalp massage that I was really looking forward to (that they promise on their website) If I do not get a solution to this, I will be escalating to BBB. I was taken advantage of..big time!!!
Aldona makes the whole experience wonderful!
Positive- aesthetician wouldn’t do my eyelashes because they were too short and she thought it would hurt and not be good for them in the long run. Negative- had my hair blown out. She didn’t put product in after she was finished or properly ‘pull’ my hair. Less than a half hour after it was finished my hair, which is naturally curly, started to frizz and revert to its natural curl. I’ve had my hair round brushed many many times and this never happens. I went back to ask for product, and the hair stylest gave me a dirty look and didn’t try to help. Called back to ask to get it done again and the receptionist and stylist argued with me about the use of product. (Which was not the point) the point was, the style is probably going to last me a day and usually it lasts a week. Not worth the convenience.
Sam was great!! Highly recommend him to cut anyone's hair!
I always have a great experience when i come to this place. Friendly staff, great customer service. I definitely would come back!
Ask for my hair cut shoulder length... the lady who cut my hair kept cutting my hair shorter and shorter. I asked her to stop at the current hair length. A different hairdresser explained to me that she couldn’t stop at that length because it was so uneven and then then next hairdresser took over the mess that was now my hair cut. A third hairdresser had to check my hair before it was blow dried. I paid $80 for someone else’s mistakes... never go here....
I had a wonderful experience when there. Staff was friendly and very warm and welcoming. Left with a new hair cut, colour, nails painted and eyebrows waxed. Left feeling beautiful and ready for a date night with my husband.
Great ambiance and friendly helpful staff. My hair expert, Samantha did an excellent cut/style on me. I will go back.
Never come here, very unprofessional. My hair looked terrible afterwards.
WHATEVER YOU DO- DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE. I went to go get my brows done (there are two stylists, I did not get the "senior stylist") and left a complete and utter mess. They were bad enough to make me cry. My left eyebrow is substantially thinner than the right and was waxed with jagged lines. I have chunks missing out of my left brow both on the bottom and the top. My right bow is half gone- she waxed the tail half of my brow off and claimed they were "baby hairs". The right brow was a COMPLETELY different shape than the left one, so much that my friend was able to tell they were botched from the other side of the spa. She also ripped the skin off of my eyelids with the wax. I went to another salon, a complete mess, trying to get someone to fix them, and they told me that they were so badly done that they were unable to be fixed. I went back to natural solutions in tears, in attempt to get my money back- and had to make an scene in order to be refunded ONLY for the wax job and not the tinting (which is also terrible). The aesthetician could only stand there and shrug, after messing up my face. "years of experience"....i dont think so....I could have done a better job on myself. The only positive thing I can say about this place, is that the receptionist is kind and respectful, and the senior stylist did everything she could to try and fix her colleagues mistake and calm me down. Do not trust these people with your eyebrows.
I'm a firm believer that, it's not about what somebody said, it's how they made you feel. This was a very negative first impression. No option to leave zero stars. Today I had an appointment with a senior stylist. I arrived on time despite terrible road conditions. It's a priority in my life to be professional, and on time. I expect others to be respectful of my time especially when an appointment is made. Upon entering I was greeted, offered a coffee and told to have a seat. I waited 10 minutes and then politely asked reception how long would my stylist be, I was told she's finishing up with another client, she could also see I was waiting. I then went back to my seat and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes - I 25 minutes to be left waiting I feel is unacceptable. I felt completely ignored and grabbed my coat and left! Perhaps the stylist who was aware I was waiting could've made eye contact with me and pop over and apologize for the wait. I understand things happen and not everything can start at the right time. If I was acknowledged and made to feel welcome I would not have left.
Zoltan is an artist barber. I came in for a haircut for my sisters wedding and he went above and beyond. He really has a gift. God Zoltan. Hope everything works out for you ????.
It’s a great place to do your hair . Highly I do recommend Jwan for hair color & cut and blow drying.
I was worked under Brianna and she gave me the absolute worst service. This salon needs to learn to disinfect and clean their station and acknowledge their clients. It seemed that I did not have any professional work done on me. I did not get the simple cut and colour that I asked for, I got the complete opposite and not to mention the blow dry and style was terribly done. I will make sure that I do not recommend this salon to ANYONE else and will never go back myself. I've noticed the ego in this salon is too high for such horribly trained so called "hairstylist". There's alot to be worked on.
Great experience ! Went to get my hair cut after growing it out for the past two years, very professional environment and fantastic job done by jwan and the staff. Left the salon feeling like a new person.
I was in a wedding party this past weekend and the travelling hairstylist that we hired was horrible. Myself and another bridesmaid decided to go to the mall and beg someone to fix our updo's. I don't know the name of the hairstylist that the other bridesmaid had but I had Brianna. They took us in instantly, worked so quickly as we were on a very tight schedule and both our updo's looked fantastic. We both had compliments all night long and the updo's lasted. I gave Brianna a huge hug when she was done with me but I just want to say "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart for such a quick but beautiful hairdo.
I recently visited Natural Solutions for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional and courteous staff. The salon is clean and bright with enough privacy from shoppers in the hall. I worked with Haleigh - an absolute delight! She was very professional and did an amazing job on my hair. I couldn't have been happier! She engaged me in great conversation and I feel like we bonded. I was so happy with the service that I returned with my 9 year old daughter a week later. She was absolutely great with her. She made her feel so special and again, did an outstanding job with her hair. If you're looking for a new stylist don't pass up Natural Solutions!
Ive never been to a salon before or had a male hairdresser, Sam did exactly what I asked and I love my style now
I went in the other week for the $55 regular polish mani pedi special. Pros: convenient location; friendly staff and manager; very clean, modern and bright salon; comfy waiting area; lovely pedicure Cons: no nail dryers; very limited selection of colours to choose from; painful-at-times manicure that left ugly scabs on a couple fingers; overpriced I regret giving this place a try and feel like my money would have been better spent elsewhere. I could have easily paid around the same and got my nails done at a salon with massage chairs, nail dryers, a hand massage, and many more colours to choose from (although I can say this salon was not short on shades of pink). I didn't know that salons without nail dryers existed! Never had I come out of a manicure with wet nails or scabbed up fingers before this experience at Natural Solutions. That being said, at least the nail polish has lasted for a good long time so far, so the products they must be of decent enough quality. Based on my experience I would not recommend this salon for getting your nails done.
Just had the most beautiful balayage done!
I’m really upset about the service I received. I spent 500 to strip my hair and color it to a lighter ashy brown. I went in to tone down the orangey tone from stripping and they dyed my hair chocolate brown.
I went in at 9:45 am to have my hair coloured before my baby shower. I wanted balayage done and didn’t mind paying the 195 dollars to get it Done. As Suzan is colouring my hair I notice the bleach is getting dry and almost crusting, but I figured she’s the stylist she knows what she’s doing.. she finishes colouring/foiling my hair and puts me under the dryer she then asks two other stylist to come and check my hair... by this time it’s 12:00 I told them I had to be be out by 1:00 to make it in time for my baby shower. Suzan comes back around and tells me to come over to the colouring chair where she is panicking and rushing around still not telling me what’s going on.... another stylist comes over and kindly explains to me that “my hair colour wasn’t lifting properly and that she has to repaint alll my foils again” at this point i already know this lady has no idea what she is doing and that my hair is going to be ruined for my shower. By the time I left it was 130 and I had to be in Cambridge for 2 and still had to get ready and everything. All they offered me was 10 dollars off my hair which they ruined and made me late for my baby shower. Completely not what I wanted I know have copper/ caramel/ and gold blonde streaks running through my hair. If I could give zero stars I would have.
I got a haircut from here very recently, it was just a plain women's cut and I came in with several reference images and a recommendation from a friend. The staff were lovely, and while I'm afraid I can't remember my stylist's name he was very kind and I believe he came in early! The only downside is the haircut I received was literally nothing like any of the images I had shown him and is utterly hideous! While they had excellent customer service and I made sure to tip because of it I can't say I recommend this place for a hair cut because while the cut will go quickly and smoothly as the atmosphere is wonderful, there is no guarantee of quality.
Excellent!! Marta does an awesome job with my mani/pedi, everytime. Mary Lou is also very good. Place is clean, professional service!! Great specials!!
Marianne does an amazing job! I get lots of compliments when she does a cut, colour and blow out! I love the highlights she gave me and they have lasted for months! Thanks Marianne!!
Go to Sam!!!! He is literally amazing! I'm so so happy with my hair its stunning!
In for a quick eyebrow clean up always fit me in great staff
First off, this hell station called as hair salon doesn't deserve a star..I had to give it a star to waste my precious time and write a review for their piece-of-garbage business called "Natural Solutions". SHAME ON the OWNER on such a HUGE failure. It's been 4 hours since my terrible, out-of-this-world experience at Natural Solutions Salon at Stone Road Mall in Guelph City-- and I'm still nervous and extremely sad that I ended my beautiful day in such a terrible, unprofessional place today. I'm still thinking why on earth hadn't look at the reviews before walking into this hell called as "Hair &Spa Salon". First of all, never ever go to this salon. Second, If you ever ever made a careless mistake (as I did today), never go with a hair dresser, a woman in her 50s called "Tung", I guess. She's a lunatic ..she's an absolute psycho... she's an absolute charlatan. Just avoid her-- and RUN. She kept insisting that I shouldn't have a short hair cut because it makes me look like a man-- just imagine hearing such thing. and even worse she kept directly behaving like I don't realize/understand what hair cut looks better on my face. Then I found out that she wasn't able to do a short haircut in the first place and that's why she was trying to convince me to not have a short hair cut-- a definite expression of a charlatan. I absolutely agree with Kay Bee, who left a worse review 2 month ago for this lunatic woman called Tung. It my first experience encountering with such rude, idiot, unprofessional, lunatic, and psycho person. Once again, SHAME on all of you in this piece-of-garbage business called "Natural Solutions".
The spa services are excellent, I love the ladies that work here.
Terrible experience!! I would never recommend to get your eyebrows done here!! Asked them to do threading. But they did waxing and completely spoiled my eyebrows. Both my eyebrows look different now.NEVER GO HERE.just a waste of money. You can get it done by yourself even better.
I Thought the girl who did my hair was nice but my hair looks so bad I asked for balayage and now my hair looks so bras coper color i came here thinking it was going to look good I've had balayage done here before the other girl did an amazing jobe she teased it and used foil I told this girl i didn't like the color she told me that I should have did foil instead and that i can make an appointment for next time I payed $130 for this I'm not paying anther hundred you should have done it properly the fist time
I went to the mall for a wash and cut a few weeks ago and ended up at Natural Solutions for the first time. The salon and the hairdresser were nice, but unfortunately the haircut was not. The hairdresser brushed my (long) hair forcefully starting right from the top when it was freshly wet (I think trying to sell a brush that's supposed to detangle wet hair in a couple strokes because he told me as he was doing it that they sell the brush there, but it really didn't do the trick). I asked to have it cut straight across the bottom, no layers or anything, but it was cut longer on one side than the other. He tried to feather the bottom a bit but it looks like there are chunks missing rather than being even. Some of that is probably my hair being a bit unevenly wavy, but it's not been an issue with previous cuts. The whole thing seemed more about speed than quality. It might have just been the end of a busy day, but I'm not going to go back to the same place to get it fixed.
Love the atmosphere and got great service was able to get an appointment with no notice
Be very wary when you go into this salon. They work on commission and will do all that they can to get the price up. This is not the place to go-trust me. I went with my 14 year old daughter and we had cut and highlights, nothing out of the norm at all. $800.00 later!!!!! What the heck! The cut is okay, highlights severely damaged my hair. I feel that this salon takes advantage of the fact that you are in the chair and they just keep adding onto the price, what do you do then???? Such scammers- I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau! Unfortunately the lady I have be going to for 15 years had to go off for 4 months due to medical issues. Her costing was $165.00 plus tip for cut and highlights! I can't wait for her to be back.
Mary Lou is absolutely incredible. She is so friendly and kind and does an amazing job on my nails!
