The salon is pretty and everyone is kind and nice. Unfortunately they did not met my expectations. It seems and cost as a very professional place but It is not. I did not get the haircut that I wanted, a short asimmetric bob, because I have been told was not possible to color the hair so short. However I was happy to follow the advice of the stylist and I kept my long bob. Unfortunately I wanted a pink hair colour and it turned out blonde. I was very sad and Brandon was very kind he attended me after half an hour and he coloured my hairs again but the result was not even close to a pink color. Everybody was very busy and I had the feeling that they did not pay much attention and spend enough time doing their job. I am used to spend a lot of time at the hair salon to cut and color my hair, I like precision and perfection and it was not the case. However they are very nice and kind. Maybe my request was too extravagant.

I've never been so satisfied with a hair salon. You should make an appointment because it's so busy but it is so worth it! My hair was washed, cut and styled and I love it! The price was good and it was a comfortable environment. I'm usually disappointed in some way from my haircuts but the service and the professionalism of this salon is amazing! The stylist that I had was Tiffany Parent and I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend!

BEST Hair Salon ! Staff are very up to date on latest trends and techniques. I love that I can go in with photo's of hair I love and they know how to do it, or tell me the truth if it can be accomplished or suggest something even better for my hair type, face etc. Other places I've gone either try and fail because they don't know how to do something and won't admit it, or are just stuck in a box of same old haircuts/colour techniques and I end up leaving disappointed. At Fusion they really know their stuff and Paul the owner has an amazing wealth of knowledge in the industry. The atmosphere is modern and staff are friendly and hip. I booked an appointment on a whim as I was desperate to get a cut. Since I've moved to Guelph I haven't been loyal to any particular stylist - I've felt the talent doesn't compare to what I had living in downtown Toronto. Laid back, modern and unpretentious, I got a PERFECT cut from Patrick at Fusion. Not one complaint here. He took his time and was methodical, while also holding intelligent conversation. When I went to pay and they said "that will be $48" I was like, START THE CAR!!! I'm not used to paying so little for such a great cut. I almost felt guilty. Needless to say I've found my new partner in hair.

I'm one of those people who have so much hair it intimidates most stylists, and as such, I don't trust many people with my hair. Actually, only two: my cousin who admittedly hates cutting me hair because of how much there is, and Steven who gets excited every time I book an appointment. I've been going to Fusion since 2010 (ish), and honestly, there is no where else I'd rather go. Jimmy always greets you when you walk through the door with warmth and hospitality – he wants to make sure you're comfortable and well taken care of, and he does so with a level of sincerity that I rarely see in other salon/spas. Everyone there is friendly, warm, and kind. The talent at Fusion is simply overflowing from each and every one of them. As for Steven? Don't get me started on Steven. He is a beautiful human being who always greets you with the biggest smile. As I said before, Steven has never been intimidated by my hair, but excited for the challenge. At this point, unless there is something significantly different I want to try, I put my trust (and my hair) in his hands and he never, ever disappoints. He always makes sure my haircut suits my lifestyle and can go from glamour 'dos to hair dried lazy days. I honestly can't say enough about Steven, as a hairstylist and a person, I love him.

I've been going to Fusion Hair Studio for a few years now. I get my hair done by Brandon, who is a colouring expert. He does a blonde balayage with a shadow root (I am a brunette naturally) and the result always looks amazing. When bleaching, he takes care to carefully select pieces as to not damage hair that's already bleached. Not only that, Brandon is also a great conversationalist and he makes a couple hours at the salon fly by! I appreciate all the COVID safety protocols they have in place, as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

The very pleasant staff go above and beyond making sure you have a great client experience by greeting you as you come in, offering tea, coffee or water while you await your professional stylist, and by giving you the most wonderful head massage you have ever experienced when they shampoo and condition your hair. The studio itself is very clean, modern and chic. Having been a client of Fusion from the day it opened, I can say that client service is exceptional, stylists are tops in their field and very knowledgeable, and the overall experience is excellent. All of this and a smile too, no matter how busy. It doesn't get much better.

I started going to Fusion when my long-time stylist and friend made the move to this salon. She has worked at a variety of locations, but Fusion is by far my favourite! The staff is always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, and I swear every customer leaves the salon looking like they are ready for a special event. In the last two years, I've moved away from Guelph but continue to travel 3 hours to visit this salon every few months. Even though it's not exactly convenient, I look forward to my visit for weeks in advance! Great salon and an even better staff! Highly recommend for women, men and kids!

Throughout quarantine if you are like me, black box dye was the go to. A few weeks ago I had my first experience at Fusion and was introduced to Brandon. Throughout the whole process, Brandon took the time to discuss everything with me, which in the end made me very comfortable. On top of that he’s super knowledgeable, as well professional but is also very kind and talkative. Once he completed my hair it was honestly beautiful, I don’t think I’ll ever trust another stylist other than Brandon. The prices were reasonable, and the rest of the staff were friendly as well. I would only recommend this place to anyone who wants to get their hair done in the future.

I did have one good hairdresser but she moved and the salon wouldn't say where she went. I was beginning to think hairdressers in Ontario took their course on-line. My husband got a voicemail from fusion the day before his appointment reminding him of the time. When he showed up they told him his appointment was earlier and they were busy. He asked why they called to remind him of the time - they didn’t know who called him - well it was someone from Fusion.. they just didn’t care and did not offer to take him - who needs lousy customer service!?

The lady that did my hair looked like she was rushing and she didn't even clean the hair off after cutting. My hair was not styled. I left the salon with messed up hair. I paid more than $80 and I was not satisfied. I don't think I'll be coming back again.

We just moved back to Guelph and needed haircuts desperately! We called other hair salons, going by their rating on Google, and Fusion was the only one who could accommodate us on such short notice. I was a little apprehensive based on the negative review I saw here... but man oh man! This place is wonderful! I wish I was living in this city longer so that I can keep going back. We were greeted warmly and offered a beverage. A lady named Christina did my hair and she is amazing! I gave her a rather horrifyingly neglected head of hair to work with and she knew exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I felt amazing when she was done! I followed Jim from his previous salon, when he opened Fusion in the south end. He and Paul have put together an amazing team of stylists. I have tried several over the years but Katelyn and Brandon are both incredibly talented. The selection of hair care products that they offer and use on their clients is the best quality- Bumble & Bumble, Aveda, and Matrix. The people working here were absolutely fabulous human beings, without a doubt, but my hair got overtoned and the colour washed out pretty quickly for what I was expecting. WOW!!! I am so so impressed with this amazing salon and Christina. I moved to Guelph last year and it has been somewhat of a struggle to find a stylist who I am over the moon about. I tried another salon in Guelph first, based on the google ratings being the highest and I was disappointed every time I left. My hair always looked fine, but it just wasn't what I had asked for. And it was very expensive (over $200 for a cut and foils for short-medium length hair). I decided it was just too much to pay when I never left satisfied. That's when I decided to give FUSION a go- and I will never look back!!! Christina was able to give me EXACTLY what I wanted. From the cut and highlights, to the texturing. And it was nearly $50 less than the "top rated" salon. I have never been so happy with a cut before in my life. Usually I find a stylist is either really good at either cutting OR highlighting. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find Christina is a real expert in both. It's one thing to be a talented stylist but its another to be able to LISTEN to your client and be able to understand what it is they want, and ask questions when you are unsure. I think thats what really sets this salon apart from the others. They are a very friendly bunch of people, and the salon has an amazing atmosphere.

I've gone here a few times wanting this to be my place to go. The do a pretty good job. And the prices are fine. What I have an issue with is the attitude. I've never felt welcomed. The tone of voice from many staff is that they are above you. I've called a few times over the pandemic knowing it's going to be a long shot getting what I'm asking for and they have spoken to me in a way that puts me down. Laughing at me. I called other salons in the area with the same long shot requests and they are so sweet about it. They don't put me down or laugh at my request. I thought the first time it happened it was just that that were so busy after reopening and I gave you guys the benefit of the doubt. However, the attitude keeps happening, so it's not a one off. You do not treat non-regular clients with any respect. I wanted to spend my money with with guys and now I never will again just by how you have acted the past few times I've tried to book something.

I chose Fusion when I was looking for an Aveda salon, and since my first visit, I can't imagine going anywhere else. Adam is one of those rare stylists who is not only willing to try out anything I bring him a photo of (sorry, Adam!), but who will jump in with suggestions when I say "I am out of ideas, just cut it however you want". I get extreme cuts, with a lot of detailed work, and Adam has never once failed to give me a cut that has led to people asking me "who did that amazing cut on your hair?". Best of all, since going to Fusion, my extreme coloured hair has never once turned out dry, crunchy or ruined. In fact, it remains soft and healthy looking, even months later. And that is with a LOT of bleach! I now drive an hour and a half, each way, to get to Fusion, and will continue to do so. A side note: the staff, both online and front desk, have always been unfailingly polite and friendly to me. They welcome you warmly, my appointments have always started on time, and the offer of a coffee is a nice touch. YMMV, of course, because in turn I treat *them* with respect and kindness, as well!

Visited the salon for the first time today, from the minute I walked through the door I was impressed. The salon itself is very modern and clean, the staff where very friendly and welcoming. I was introduced to Brandon, it was clear within minutes that he is knowledgeable and professional. I was having foils as well as a cut, going from mid length to short. Brandon and I discussed what I liked with both the colour and the style, I felt that he took his time to listen to what I wanted and added subtle recommendations. Through the whole process Brandon explained the steps as well as well as making sure I was comfortable. I left more than thrilled with my new haircut and will certainly be going back.

The studio is very clean (and more recently have implemented COVID precautions in a way that feels safe but also not stiff and unpersonable) and staff is super friendly. I always leave feeling great about my new colour/style. Brandon is a wizard with cut and colour. He nails my blonde everytime and always entertains my crazy colour ideas. He is great at explaining the process of every colour I suggest and also highlighting any potential downsides. He takes into account your skin tone and face shape and makes thoughtful suggestions. First time I tried this place it was for a colour correction. I was placed with Brandon - and all I can say is that he is an amazing hairstylist. He listened to me and completely fixed my hair. Staff is always so polite - they take your coat and then help you back into it when you’re leaving! I’ve always been asked if I’m taken care of and offered a beverage with lots of reading material at the desk. When I call to make an appointment it has always been a good experience with whoever I’ve spoken with. Manager is so friendly and when I had a conversation with him about what brought me to fusion he gave me free product!! Prices are reasonable for the amount of time and love spent on making you look and feel good. I’m moving to Kitchener but will drive to Guelph so I can continue being a customer with fusion ????

Haircut was not bad, but the front service was definitely not good. I got a man’s haircut but charged for women price. I was confused and ask the front desk. We might don’t have a clearly discussion at first but the manner for the front service was soooo bad. First time got haircut there and definitely the last time as well. :)

Barbering is a timeless art that should be celebrated by men everywhere. There is nothing better than a relaxing hour at the barbershop, a place by men for men. Although barbering has lost its way within the last few decades there are still those that sharpen and hone their skills every day keeping the art of fine men’s grooming alive. Even though Paul's focus is contemporary women's style, he is without a doubt the best barber in Gueph, a true hidden gem, one of the last masters of the craft left who gets what the experience is supposed to be all about.

I just moved to Guelph and Fusion is just around the corner from my new home so I thought I would give them a try. They got me in on short notice. (The day after I called for an appointment) During my haircut the topic of reviewing businesses came up between me and my stylist. She was concerned regarding a recent negative google review of the salon. Although I don't normally review businesses online our conversation did not sit well with me as my experience was anything but negative. The salon is beautiful, the level of service was exceptional and this was one of the best haircuts I have ever had at a very reasonable price. Upon arriving at the salon I was immediatley greeted by a man at the front desk. I didn't even have to tell him my name, he knew who I was even though it was my first visit. I was seated, offered a drink and some magazines, and given a wonderful shampoo. (The sinks are amazing, you get to lay down) As for the staff, they were great. I instantly felt comfortable in the space and I was showered by smiles, hellos and gratitude from numerous staff members during my visit. I don't think the staff at Fusion even know what pretense is. This salon is an excellent example of how great a customer experience can be. I will be returning often.

Jim (owner) is usually the first one you meet at the door and makes you feel right at home. Jim runs an excellent salon and makes sure your experience is a great one! The stylists are top notch and are up to date on the latest trends. Having said that though they definitely listen to what it is that you want done to your hair. Oh and try out their hair washing stations.....you will fall asleep for sure in the lounger while getting an amazing head massage. I love the experience of Fusion Hair. The reception is immediate and I was offered tea coffee or water. The stylists are excellent. I have seen two of them and both are great. It's the ticket price that is shocking. After tip it's close to$70 for a haircut that takes 35 minutes. I'm still looking for a place that cuts hair cut not my wallet.

RUINED MY SHIRT. I am so frustrated. This was the worst salon I have ever been to. I explicitely said that I wanted a neutral medium brown to cover grey amd the higlights I had, to return my hair to its natural shade and that I wanted zero red tones. What did I get? Some gross black and bergundy and chocolate brown mess, much different and darker than my natural shade, a nasty blend of colour..orangey brown in some spots, blackish in others..bergundy in others. I dont know how to describe it. What did my stylist say to that? "Oh we have warm lighting in here." I would have got better results by buying a box of dye. I am not even kidding it is so bad. Further, he was so sloppy putting the colour on the dye kept splashing on my neck and cheek..he even dropped the tool in my chair, insisted that it didnt touch my clothing. What did i find when i got home?? Dye all over my clothes. HE RUINED my shirt. And I am pretty sure he must have known this because he helped me put my jacket on when I was leaving and there is no way he couldnt have seen it. This was a $225 cut and colour not inc tip (which I felt pressured to give) I have had a full head highlight, cut, style at Tangles for the same price and less, and the results were sooo much better. The only reason why I didnt go to Tangles this time is because my stylist for the last 3 yrs moved. When i expressed that I didnt like the way the colour was looking the stylist dismissed my concerns and said "oh you'll get used to it." I have been crying for hours. Furthermore, his workspace was FILTHY. I should have trusted my instincts when I first met him, but the first space I sat in wasn't his workspace. His mirror was dirty, there was other peoples hair in all his combs and brushes. Components of barbers tools all over the place, I couldn't even put my sunglasses down on his counter..not that I would want to. There was even hair stuck to his tubes of product!!!! So. Effing. Gross. The cut wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I didnt have a complicated request, basically a trim with long layers. Now I have to go somewhere else to get my hair colour fixed after this garbage washes out a bit. Just stay away from this place. Trust me. I am livid. I am actually going to tell every single person I meet from today on until the anger fades, how terrible my experience was here,..I may not even need to because they will have eyes and can see for themselves when they look at my head!!! Im not even sure how the price was as high as it was after looking at the prices on their website.

Hair colorist was lovely, but paid $500 (including a tip) for a balayage and start the process of going lighter. When I called to speak with someone about it (which is very hard and I felt awful complaining!) they were very rude to me and I honestly balled my eyes out. My actual colorist was nice though and called me back and brought me in to fix it. Unfortunately, it looks worse now and I am so embarrassed and trying to find someone to fix it but everyone is so booked up. I am so upset and it has been 6 weeks. When I reached out to tell him, his response was a very short 'best of luck in future'. See the one stripe down the back and the chunks? There is not even any color in the back besides the one chunk. Soooo not impressed.

I'm not one for writing reviews, but for this I actually created a google account so that I can rave about Paul Wilke @ Fusion. After 12+ years, nervously, and due to exhausting circumstances, I took a chance at changing up hair dressers. Paul came highly recommended to me through a facebook search through friends, so I decided to go 'try him out'. The staff and receptionist (at the time Jim, part owner) was amazing and very accomodating. After talking to Paul for a few minutes, I, typically a control freak, decided to put the faith of my thick long (almost down to my butt long) hair in Paul's hands. The result was a wicked, textured angled bob-style look with highlights that are just plain amazing. All in all, Paul here is def my fav new hairstylist for the next 12+ years to come. What I'm trying to say here is, I highly recommend him.
